  1. Had a marginal improvement after they balanced the injectors. My first light stays on ages then they go out quick. I have never has a acurate LPG gauge yet I just tend to fill up on mileage and ignore the display.
  2. I have now done 5000 miles since my conversion at Leeds LPG and its still spot on. I had the filler behind the fuel filler and have had no issues filling up. Some of the new pumps say useing an adaptor is not recommended but you are still allowed to use one.
  3. All cars have issues but that one dont sound too good I would give it a miss unless it's rearly cheap but the you still take your chances
  4. They just had to balance the injectors to make them even, nothing major. The car will go back at 10k miles they recommend a filter change and check over every 10k.
  5. Just been down for the 1000 mile check. They have made a few adjustments but all is good. They do it while you wait . I havent bought unleaded in nearly a month now
  6. They recommended the KME Deigo system for the car so I went with that. It's going in tomorrow for its free 1000 mile check
  7. The guys in the workshop don't answer the phone when busy fitting I allways rang the mobile number on the website allways got a quick reply if no answer.
  8. The bigest fill I have done is 60l haven't timed the filling but it seams to take forever. Maybe it's just as its been so cold when doing it.
  9. Very happy done 1000 miles on gas with no issues the MPG is virtually the same but drops a couple of MPG around town but with the price of LPG the running costs are vastly reduced. The only downside is the fill time at the pump compared to petrol.
  10. To unlock the car you just touch the handle the button on the handle is to lock the car.
  11. 400 mile round trip today and all is ok did 28 to the gal measured on tank fill. At 78 p/l and no change in performance. Happy Days
  12. Will post some pics of the engine bay later. But there's not much to see
  13. I chose to have this filler and the fitter would fit either type and have a certificate at the end of the day the filling point is fixed. There is no mention in the reguletion about useing a country specific adaptor. I didn't want a big hole cut in my car so chose this option. As said I have used this type on a jeep with no issues. Alot of these things are recommendations by assiciations and not law. If its legal in Europe I would like to see it being challenged.
  14. It's an interesting one. We are part of Europe and many Europeans travel to this country and fill up with LPG. The station I filled up at today there was an issue with the pump so the came out and sorted it and even connected the hose for me nothing was said. I had a Jeep with the same setup and have never had an issue. If it causes issues in the future I will have a filler put in the bumper but won't do so untill I have to. As for the MOT my tester said if it has a certificate it's a pass
  15. Here is a picture with the adaptor screwed in place. Has a oring so only need to be hand tight.
  16. I will keep it in a safe place done 60 miles on the way home and all is good. Going down south in the morning so will be interested to see what I get out of the tank mileage wise. All in all very happy and can recommend them.
  17. There is a screw in adaptor that you put in by hand then the pump baynet connector just clips on takes 10 seconds. £1150 all in. Very happy with the job and no external sign of conversion
  18. Not that much to see tank in the wheel well and cant see anything under the bonnet as its all covered bu the engine cover. control switch Filling point has screw in adapter
  19. I have collected the LS 430 from Leeds LPG. Very neet instalation everything put where i asked for it fuel filler behind the petrol filler so no holes in the car. Dirves no different so I am very happy. Certificate for insurance and DVLA and 24 month warentee. They do a free service and check up at 1000 miles. Now i can Drive without worrying about the running costs :D .
  20. I have booked in there myself for the end of April so im lokking forward to what you think Steve. Should all be done a week today can't wait for cheaper motoring. Have you visited them or just delt over the phone? I will let you know how I get on if you send me your email address I will send you some pics of the install
  21. My neighbour pointed out today that the rear wheels on my LS are not central to the wheel arch it the same on both sides and now I am paranoid there is somthing wrong. Is this normal for the wheel to be forward in the arch?
  22. Hi I currently do 30k miles plus a year and am considering useing my 2001 LS430 as my daily drive. I have it booked in for a LPG conversion next week. Am I mad to do this much mileage in a LS or should I just do it and not worry. I don't want to run the car into the ground and have others I could share the mileage with but love the comfort and drive.
