  1. My kit is a KME Deigo which is one of the cheaper kits but the install is spot on with all the pipework even in length. I'm very pleased with the results.
  2. R134a has a very tiny molecule you won't stop it leaking with the tape. Replacing the pipes is the only way
  3. I know Kwik Fit did have an offer on so might be worth checking. Bradley refrigeration will do it at there workshop but not sure of cost.
  4. I was not convinced the compressor was seized in the first plase they normally throw belts if that is the case
  5. If you get it gassed if it doesn't run get a supply to the compressor from the battery and see if you get nice cold air. If it all works then its something in the control circuit stopping it from running. I would be really surprised if there is something wrong with the compressor.
  6. I don't think I would buy a car that only travels short distances they never properly warm up. It does them good to have a decent run now and again.
  7. As it now has no gas in I won't think you will get any power off the loom as it will be out on LP switch a wiring diagram will be the best way.
  8. Let us know the results of the tests. There isn't that much to go wrong really
  9. Have just checked my figures and my average since conversion in 20.93 mpg over the total mileage
  10. I have my moments but those figures are fairly consistent since having the system tuned. I keep a record at every fill up its ready for it's 10 k LPG service and the figures are just starting to drop slightly. When I first had it fitted the figures were poor but the system was calibrating itself and needed balancing but there was a noticeable improvement after its 1k service
  11. Just checked my spreadsheet my LPG figures are on the LS 430 Long run 23.56 mpg Around town 19.4 mpg Lowest ever heavy Trafic 16.59 mpg
  12. When I had my 430 done the economy improved after they made some adjustments on the 1000 mile check.
  13. The stator should have two connections one for power and the other to earth.
  14. It sounds like the clutch has gone and not the comp seized. You should be able to replace just the clutch.
  15. It it turns over and makes a sucking noise its not seized. can you put power to the clutch from a car battery to see if it locks up? then the whole assembly should turn.
  16. I deal with Gary at Lexus Sheffield and he allways does a good price for older cars :)
  17. I agree but you need to sort it as part on the sale agreement. If you don't I can't see how you can complain afterwards. If I buy I allways specify a full tank and most sellers agree without increasing the price. If its not full then you can haggle on the price
  18. If you have a 150 mile drive to collect after veiwing and havent agreed for the car to have fuel in it when you agree the price then i dont think you can complain if its empty.
