Picked up my new LS today. She runs as expected. Wonderful. One or two annoying niggles. Right hand wing mirror won't adjust properly. And washer says I need washer fluid, When I don't. but these are common problems I have seen. Hope the photos come out okl. Tom

That is superb. I would love to come and see that.. Fingers crossed, pick mine up Sunday.

Update; Passed MOT with flying colours. No advisorys. Brakes did not need doing, just the sensor. So have to wait a bit longer.

I have bought it. I have chopped in a 06 plate Mondeo against it. He is paying me to take it off his hands. My Mrs thinks I am potty. But is it listen to heart or head. I just love these cars. He is going to put right anything he finds wrong and MOT it.Pick up in a couple of days. Please tell me I have done the right thing. Tom.

Been down to have a look. When I arrived it was covered in dust where it had been stood for the last 3 months. It would not start coz of being stood for so long. Had the key problem, but got round that ok. He cleaned it all off, fired her up. Long story cut short, drives as expected, beautfully. Bonnet struts need doing, along with brakes. He will put 12 months MOT, and do the brakes, and anything else that needs doing MOT wise.It has service history up to 2008. The last owner had owned it since 2007. Had all the other servicing done locally. Got him down 1800. I think I can get him lower. Opinions would be welcome. Should I hang out a bit longer, or just go for it? Thanks again.

Just rang the dealer. Asked about any history. Says there is early history. The car was serviced locally up to now. For the last few years it was only used 6 months of the year. From what I have learned the ls400 2000 on here, Lexus was at its peak here. Downhill after that. Looked at the LS460, LS430. Beautiful cars, both models. But just can't match with LS400. Not sure what's missing. At the moment, I own 3 litre Mondeo with small mileage. But need I need say more with ls400. Which will last the longer????

Just found out its gone. It had a full service history. Cambelt just done. He told me he was kicking himself for letting it go so cheap.

There is is a LS430 going for £995 on Autotrader. 92,000 miles. Xreg, 12 months MOT, 6 months tax. Not much more info than that. Seems a really low asking price. Does anyone smell a rat??

I am. Got my eye on a couple. It was really sad to the LS400 go. But could not justify the cost over the next 6 months or so. So go for the newer one. I drove a 460 in Cornwall yesterday. It just blew me away. What a car.

Sold the LS 400 last Wednesday. Was not an easy decision to make, but over the next 2 or 3 months, she would need to much spending on her, So took plunge and sold her after alot of soul searching. But the good news is, LS460 on way. Will keep posted.

Really sorry to hear about your problems. Its true what they say, there is always someone worse off then yourself. I have a perfectly good Lexus which does not get used like it used to do, but I will be struggling to keep on the road. I will have to sorn the same as yours. Hope things work out for you. Tom
