  1. What is the general feeling on these cars. How do they compare to the LS400. I have been told they have not built better since the LS400. Are they just a smaller LS460?
  2. No dout I will be shot down in flames here, But if you own v8 Lexus, you must expect small low miles per gallon. Very good for what they can do for the size of the engine, pushed hard they will guzzle fuel. If one wants good MPG, get something smaller. The average Focus, Mondeo, Vectra, etc won't do much better.. Given the choice, need I say anymore.
  3. Its amazing what a couple of photos can lead to. I am liking where this heading.
  4. I paid Jonathan a visit this morning to have a look at his new LS. and very tidy to. We had a good chat about all things Lexus etc, etc. Took some photos. Both cars need a good bath. Not easy when used everyday at this time of the year.
  5. Welcome back, I knew you find one soon. I will pop up and have a look if thats ok with you. Looks very clean. Tom
  6. Can't argue with the above. But sometimes ones hands are well and truely tied.
  7. The LS600 is superb, but very drawn to the 460. Will always love the 400, massive wide berth of the 430..Just the way I feel and my experience of them..
  8. It was good to see Jonathan again. I was taking my car in for an MOT. which it failed on, something to do with the brakes. Nothing to much to worry about. I would stick with the LS, but that's just my view.
  9. I have had 2 LS400's. Both had very good brakes. I have and had very small travel on the brake pedal before they bite. I can only speak from what I have experienced.Tom
  10. It might just be me, but was that revving a little to high for around 66 mph in top. Tom
  11. I am only down the road. If I can help, just say so. Just thought I would say. Tom
  12. I would just like to mention Lexus in Stoke. I only went in to change the battery in my key fob. They could not do enough for me. Made me coffee, said go and have a look around the cars they had to sell. Came out to me on their forecourt to tell me they had finished putting the new battery in, I know they cost a mint to use, but all the same it was very pleasant. Not used to this from dealers. I was speaking to a guy there with his LS460 just in for a service. No change out of £750. He said he wished he had kept his old 400. Just thought I would share this with everyone. Tom.
  13. The meet today went very well. I could not believe the LS400 out numbered all other models. Seeing the ISF (if that what its called) in the flesh, what a beautiful car. One day I hope to own one. It was good to meet other people one speaks to on here face to face. Great day all round.
  14. I will try to make it if can. Not late to ask I hope. Tom
  15. Thanks for all your advise. I will try swapping them around. If not will just get decent ones.
  16. It just vibrates at speeds above 90. Never before with old tyres.
  17. Has anyone swapped the wheels around from front to back.I have loads of tread all round. I made the silly mistake of getting cheap tyres for the front, or would it be better to just buy decent ones for the front. And leave well alone. Thanks for any advise given.
  18. What you have to remember is that your average cambelt change for other cars cost around the same as a Lexus. Bet the Mark3 will give you 60000 miles between changes, and the Mark4 and 430 will; give 100000 miles.
