  1. I will cut some scenes out, create a new topic and post them with links. Any idea which vid format I should choose, so that everybody can watch it?? Not too big files, or it would kill the transfer and performance of the server or anything. I have some vids, but I will record new ones after we got fresh snow. Last time it was warm and rained as hell, all snow disappeared. NG, RR
  2. Yes with right button click it works fine. Hmm... I have some more vids like drifting and :tsktsk: around on a huge snowy place and such. But I would kill the servers' space capacity. I could cut out some few seconds and post them. Any Admin should tell me if I were allowed to do and where I should post them. N-Ice Greetings, RoadRash
  3. I tested it and noticed, that you have to wait until it completely downloaded. Then it begins to play with Windows Media Player. Hope it works, RR
  4. Hi guys! I hope the link will work. Enjoy the sound of my IS200. :D Hope you like it. Lexus RoadRash Mpeg (Caution: 5.46MB Download) SG, RR
  5. Hi! Before I designed the intake I fitted the HKS Drager exhaust. And I really noticed an improvement in responsing and such. But it took some time, because the ECU had to read the new values and correct the air/fuel. After a few hundreds and thousands km it seemed to work fine. An ECU reset wouldn't have been bad I think, it would have worked quicker. It revs much faster at low rpm, so it got a more agressive acceleration like Golf GTI or anything at low-end power. In the high-end power area the power didn't increase very much, hardly to notice. But it pulls much better from 2500-4000rpm. Not to forget the rumbly sound it makes when accelerating. After fitting the intake the sound got just deeper and louder than before. And that not only until 3000rpm...... sound is like: 1000-3500 rumbly deep 3500-6500 like a race car, really cool. I recorded it with a digicam, maybe I can post it with a link. But I also noticed an increase in fuel requiring. In cause of the increased air flowing the ECU also increased the fuel to set the A/F mixture in correct ratio. But it didn't increase all too much. I think with an AFC you could adjust it much better to get more power depending on the advantages of an intake and exhaust. NG, RR
  6. There I can only agree, I sent a message to that guy and he told me that. For the straight 6 model you can get only an SC.
  7. Try to get some knowledge about turbo charging, order a bolt-on kit and mount it in in a couple of days with any friend of your's. Buy wide-band sensors (O2, air/fuel mix.), piggy back air/fuel computer and dyno your car by yourself. Of course it's a question of money and experience. But after that you could kick some S/C IS200 a.ses..... :D Otherwise you told us you are from London, put your car to TDI and they will let the monster out of your engine. B) Best way to get tons of power out of an engine. But as I told you.... it's a question of money. I am going to do it next summer. I have a company car so it doesn't play a roll how long the mounting process would take. ================================= Of course intake and exhaust can solve some acceleration problems at low rpm. I have it and I was happy to notice a much better response at low speeds. Not much in high-end power like 5.500rpm in 5th gear or such, but it responses better at low rpm like 1st-3rd gear. An air/fuel computer can help to get some more power out of it, but it would be more useful with a turbo.
  8. Hi guys! This is my intake, made by myself. Bought pipes, silicon hoses, cone filter. Fitted and polished also by myself. Was for about 100-150€. Intake 1 Intake 2
  9. Know that page?? I found it last year when I had time to look for solutions. IS200 (1G-FE) Turbo Conversion Looks interesting. N-Ice Greetings, RoadRash
  10. how many do we have here?? That one with the turbo conversion on his IS200.
  11. For the turbo question: I posted something in "TURBO" topic. and for map unit: One of the problems ever is: How the hell can I do, that this car gets more fuel for correct explosion stroke after a turbo conversion?? Solution 1: You try to get 6 bigger injectors, fit an AFC and adjust air fuel ratio. Solution 2 (like that): you get 2 additional injectors and a map unit (black box) The 2 injectors get mounted onto the air inlet with an adapter and connected to that black box. This black box adjustes ONLY!! the 2 injectors. The stock 6 injectors are still connected to the stock ECU. So every stock electronic controlled stuff keeps untouched and unmodified. The added black box knows how much fuel it has to give to the additional 2 injectors to make a correct burning process in the engine block (or how to make Lambda=1). :winky: N-Ice Greetings, RoadRash
  12. Hi! The GT25 isn't too small for THIS!! kit. As you can see there is no head gasket or pistons for lowering compression ratio. So you could barely damage your engine if you would screw up the boost. And at all the GT25 is good for up to +300HP and you get a quicker response than with a T3 turbo. So the turbo is good. I had a 2 hours conversation at IM with turbo-kits. They can't offer a head agsket and they won't exchange the turbo. So we would have to buy the whole turbo kit and then upgrade this and that by ourself.... no problem in my opinion, because that turbo-kit is ***-cheap. He told me that it's bolt on.... no welding or other ****-custom-work is required. Also that injector and black box stuff is fitted easily, at all with the manual which is included. I'm going to purchase it in spring 2004. Does anybody have an idea how Mat solved the problem with the injectors at his IS200 turbo conversion?? Did he also put 2 additional injectors on it, or did he exchange the stock 6 injs. for 6 bigger ones??? I would be interested in forged internals, then I would upgrade the turbo to a T3 for up to 400HP...... watch out for other injectors, BC and all that stuff. But an internals kit would cost an ***-load of money, so I would be happy for the first to get 230HP with this kit..... but I'll keep on tuning. N-Ice greetings, RoadRash
