  1. Check if your hoses and fittings are okay (you may have a leak), and try to clean your trottle body.
  2. Mat, although I am not in Japan, Hong Kong is close :winky: Tell me your wishes and I will see what I can do ...
  3. Stopping will be much better with the Supra TT calipers. Existing GS calipers are 2-pot, while the Supra TT are 4-pot. The Supra discs are also much larger.
  4. I also have 18" rims and no problem. You need to be sure that it has the correct offset and tire size.
  5. if you have an Aristo then the Supra TT calipers will fit bolt-on/without any modifications. Most people that tune their Aristo TT will go for this one, since this is the cheapest upgrade. The calipers can be have for approx. GBP350 - 400 brandnew.
  6. You will need an Aristo Twin Turbo engine, Aristo Twin Turbo transmission and an Aristo Twin Turbo ECU. I can get these for you. Then you need to check if you can find a technician in your area that is confident enough to do an engine and transmission swap.
  7. ;) In another forum, some people compared a custom set of 4-pot Wilwood and the standard GS (i.e. the same as the IS) calipers, and they found out that the stopping power of the standard calipers better was than the Wilwood 4-pot.
  8. Are the cars in Bahrain also righthand drive (like the UK), if yes, then sell your current car and get an Toyota Aristo Twin Turbo. Another option is to swap your existing engine for an Aristo Twin Turbo engine. Let me know if you need my help.
  9. Did you fit the Mintex Red Box or the 1144 pads?
  10. Just checked with one of my car wrecker friends. There are some low-mileage used Aristo 147 engine (Non-Turbo, both VVT-i and non-VVT-i) from Japan available. They cost approx. GBP400 each before shipping. Shipping could probably be another GBP200. However, not sure if the Japanese engine version is the same as the UK version.
  11. Not sure, but since the Soarer and the Supra share the same platform, you will have the same issues of fitment. Any Toyota big brake calipers will require additional brackets to fit on the IS200/IS300/Altezza. For the GS300 Mk2 (JZS161) the Supra TT calipers are fit bolt-on, no changes required. The Supra TT calipers are about 10% lighter than the standard GS/IS caliper, but the Toyota monoblock calipers that are on the LS400/430 are about 30% lighter than the Supra ones.
  12. That's right, the Supra TT calipers will fit, but will require brackets. The most common setup in Hong Kong is currently using the LS400 (UCF21) monoblock 4-pot calipers and add brackets to those. Since used LS400 calipers can be found and are also very light (compared to both the Supra TT and original IS200 calipers), these are very popular among the Altezza people :) One of my friends has one reconditioned set for sale. Do not know the price yet. The look similar to the ones on the pic, but will be in red.
  13. I am trying out a different supplier for the IS200 intake. Trust/Greddy products are excellent, but it takes ages before they ship (last time: 2.5 months :o ) I will have as many IS200 intakes as you want in 3-4 weeks time :).
  14. I saw that there are many different types of mesh around. Which one do you prefer? Do you like them painted (in black or in car color) or like them in aluminium color? What are the cost of the mesh?
  15. The Altezza/IS200/IS300 and GS300/430 Mk2 brake pads and discs are the same. The Altezza/IS200/IS300 lowering springs, shocks and coilovers will fit, but since the IS300 is quite a bit more front heavy, the drop in the front will be much more if IS200/Altezza springs were to be installed on an IS300. This diff. in drop may somewhat affect the ride and handling of the car. Most coilovers were designed for the Altezza, but since these can be height (and sometimes stiffness) adjusted, they should fit nicely on all the engine types.
  16. Don't forget that I am in Hong Kong for most of the time. If we can meet altogether we can setup a mini meet :). Although only 5 people (incl myself) will fit in my car.
  17. Need to check if I still got any Hipers left. Will give an update in a few days.
  18. The Toyota RS Mesh grill is very expensive, probably something like GBP150 - 180 or so, alternatively you can go for a TRD mesh grill (which is approx. GBP130) or a replica grill which are probably GBP90 -100 or so.
  19. Kill Bill Collector's DVD? How does it look like? I have seen the regular ones. :winky:
  20. The Hipers will probably arrive in a week. Will keep you al posted. Alex
  21. Get a TTE compressor, an intake and an exhaust :)
  22. To what I know the UK version has less bulbs compared to the US or JDM version. So you cannot do the above mod, unless you either cut into the rear cluster or buy new taillights.
