I got the RGB PIN outs for the ALPINE unit... But not too sure on the SYNC... But surly possible. That sounds good. I wonder if its worth keeping the screen though. Is picture quality any good with DVD player? Here's pic of my demo vans screen

lol! Woah that is lil exspensive..
  5. I see. Well i wondered the same. I take it a pro can iron out glitches on the ecu? If theres anyone whos local on here with altezza pm me! the only one i have seen in Milton keynes is my own :P compression test is on the books though :)
  6. The Car runs fine. I've owned the car for 3 weeks, and from the day i bought it's been quite thirsty for fuel. I've driven few cars out in the US (prowlers, Dodge vipers, ferrari spiders) which i thought were really bad for fuel.. but my 'tezza imo is little bit too juicy on fuel :( I will check air filter tomorrow, tyres are fine two new rear ones fitted last week. Oil level is fine (not over or under filled) Defo no petrol smell from engine. I've not driven another altezza apart from my own, so hard to say its down on power. Saying that i drove about 3 Is200s which were quite bit slower than my 'tezza is. One thing is the lag of power from 1,000rpm -4,000rpm to when the VVT-i kicks in is pretty big. It's like its turbocharged after 4,500rpm accelerates pretty well. I'll have my garage check the compression on Monday.
  7. I thought the very same things after reading about some convertions done in japan and in the US.. Exhaust and induction kit are on my list of things to do, should give me little better response in lower rev range.
  8. But then you have an IS200, very different engine to the 'tezza..
  9. Thanks for the quick reply Colin :) Price per litre was 82.9p which using your formula equates to 21mpg Like you say not good.. What could be the problem? reset the ecu which i can only say had effect on idle speed but nothing else.. Any suggestions would be great.. but looks like i'm going to have to get a specialist to check out what the problem maybe.
  10. Scott, Taken from Tdi-plcs website, http://www.tdi-plc.com/altezza.html
  11. Bumpage on this thread. I thought i would let you know of last weeks progress. I've completed 160miles on £28.50 worth of Optimax. Whats my average MPG? If someone could post the equation i would be greatful :) I'm thinking i need to get the car to a specialist to get it checked over, it is guzzling the fuel
  12. Blimey! 27mpg sounds awesome to me :) Well, what ever gives me better performance to price ratio i suppose.. i have company van i drive daily, altezzas just a toy I'll have to look into the cost of fitting, that will be a killer i bet
  13. TDI do turbo kit for around £1800+ fitting.. Supercharger would be better as i wouldn't suffer from lag and massive increase in fuel consumption This cars gonna be the end of me :P
  14. Lastnight i was severly hacked off my cousin left me in his S3 :o I want more POWER! Conditions were wet, back end was dying for traction, engine was cold.. so i guess i was disadvantaged there.. Fuel consumption still worrys me, i reach half a tank on about 130miles using optimax. Whats that in mpg?
  15. Bad luck mate. Could of been worse, but still a bummer. I was in Leicester last night and driving out of a bend and back end drifted out (raining) traction control didn't really help the slide but i managed to get it under control otherwise it would have just 360'd! i was lucky no one else behind me! Hope you get it sorted mate, Happy new year!
  16. Blimey! if they were at £20 for both back and side put me down for a set now!! :)
  17. I felt bit like you when i had a VR6. But when i drove an IS200 i was less than impressed with performance.. thats why i bought an Altezza RS200 :zee:
  18. Can you put me down for Pre 2001 spec mats (Black) Let me know about payment :)
  19. I take it these will work on Altezzas too?
  20. Well i reset it. Only immediate change i noticed was the idle speed has dropped. Seems to idle at around 500-600rpm, so not good :( stalled 2 times I'll see how fuel is like this week..
  21. Not been on the forum long.. But Happy Birthday chap! :zee:
  22. Hi Colin, thanks for that. Yes 82p/ltr I thought it was be grizzley on fuel.. If its a simple as disconnecting the battery for few min's then i will give it a go, unless anyone else knows different. Would i notice any difference with the cars response? TIA! :)
  23. Guys.. How do i work out mpg ? I just get this feeling my cars guzzling the fuel too much! £20 worth of Optimax - 119miles driving around town (Milton keynes mostly roundabouts and dual carrage ways) not being heavy on the throttle.. Can you reset the ECUs on RS200s? TIA
  24. How do i fit these in my RS200? is there any exsisting loom in the car ready to except electric seats? i have found some through a salvage yard, but want to know where i stand with the wiriing. In reality it looks like case of 12v supply.. TIA, Am.
  25. Interesting.. What do you normally get on a full tank of fuel? Do you know what ron optimax is?
