  1. What is going on with the post dates in this thread? OP > 7 months > 3 years > 9 months For something that has been on the internet for more or less eternity?
  2. Not sure what any of this has to do with the problem the OP has?
  3. Rolling radius won't make much difference to traction in the snow, much less so than tyre width. Slimmer the better when it comes to dirt/mud, water and snow, wider the better when it comes to tarmac
  4. i can only think the word "angle" i agree with this. If mine didnt already have it I would of deff just killed the two birds lol. However bc I already had navi I just got a grom type device so now I have all I need and I must admit prefere the oem look And the beauty of the Grom device is you don't need a separate sat-nav! Open up Google (or Apple) maps, and have live sat-nav running, and if you like the voice directions, have it go through the Grom and out the speakers - while you also play music! I was going to do the top tray sat-nav mod, but since I began using my iPhone's turn by turn nav, I just don't need it. It's a real shame that the iPad Mini is just that bit too big to fit in the standard nav housing, cos that would be superb
  5. Can't say I got burned by my knob in summer, but it gets really cold in winter, I'm thinking of getting it a willy-warmer! :D
  6. Sooooo, just the blower or full TTE/Bermani kit?
  7. Just the blower, or a full TTE kit (or Bermani maybe) ?
  8. Good on ya, Mike. Takes a big man to admit when he's made a mistake. Apology accepted :)
  9. That's exactly why I've stated many times I'm not arguing with Mike ;)
  10. I just heated mine with a hair dryer, and rolled it off with my fingers (wearing gloves). Then cleaned the area with glass cleaner (alcohol based) and finally with T-Cut. Not even a blemish left. T-Cut is optional; glass cleaner suffices
  11. Both of us are Lexus owners, and we're having a discussion about windscreens. Well, we were until Mike decided the best way to respond to useful and intelligent advice was to insult people; not only me, along with an entire industry, but also an entire county of England. Very strange.
  12. Another perfectly executed diversion from what I said about providing me with a list of all the insults I've made towards you. You are very good at that, well done :) You also make yet another insult towards me (why am I not surprised, how very childish) inferring I am the person that gives out rubbish info. If that makes you sleep better at night, it's no skin off my nose if you decide to believe that. So please, go ahead. Whichever way you want to try and spin it, the basic fact does boil down to your ignorance in knowing what you claim to know, as you possibly can't, because you have no experience or education of it. Unless of course, you have been a windscreen fitter, and an employee of Halfords, Curry's and Comet? If so, please enlighten me :) By the way, are you planning to back up your statement, and furnish me/us with a list of the insults I've made towards you?
  13. Haha, you do make me chuckle. Go on, I'll bite. List the insults I've made towards you. Please, I'm intrigued :)
  14. Please state your factual evidence Oh contraire. My current employment vocation has been ten years. Was that another statement of fact you have no evidence to substantiate? I thought so..... I think we've heard that one before somewhere...
  15. Post #82 for my selective reading friend here :) Ah, more insults. The avenue of a defeated man...
  16. Continue it on the other thread. This is a thread about windscreens, not Halfords, Comet or Curry's. I've provided you with answers to those questions on that thread :) But if this is about providing information to everyone else, are you going to repost the comment you made, insulting an entire country of people? No, probably not.....
  17. Yes, I worked there too. I'm a two faced... what exactly?
  18. Completely different thread, continue it there if you insist. This isn't the place for it. And yes, god forbid I ever have to change your windscreen. I'd be in a quandary as to whether to do a good job, as I always do, and make a fool of your blinkered, ignorant, view on windscreen fitters (fly boys and cowboys, as you call them) or do a bad job to satisfy your ego. I think it'd have to be the former... As I've previously said (although it doesn't surprise me you can't remember it - you probably didn't read it, as it seems you don't with most of my posts, since you don't seem to be able to answer to the questions and points I make, although as I've pointed out before, it's far more likely to be selective reading/memory), I'm on holiday at the moment. No windscreen changing till Tuesday - hurrah!
  19. Well that's not very nice for all the people that do work for Halfords that do a fantastic job for every customer that sets foot in the shop. You have also disparaged everyone that works for Currys and Comet. Very hypocritical of you, and of course you have worked for Halfords so everything you say is just as I suspected a load of old tosh Typical Essex. Mike. Ah Mike. Difference being, I have worked there, so I actually have first hand, behind the scenes, experience. Which makes me educated to say such things. You on the other hand, don't have that education, so you can't say such things. But nice of you to then go on to reinforce your point about me, by then insulting an entire county of people. What a marvellous chap you are.
  20. Haha, of course I've accepted it! It was clear from the moment you disparaged the information I was kindly giving you. And it's of little consequence to me whether we agree or not. I just find it funny that you make so many unfounded and blanket statements, some of which about me, without being able to back up any of them with fact or evidence. It also tickles me how many times you selectively choose which questions I ask to reply to, and how many times you completely ignore parts, or whole, posts, and try and change the subject, or steer away. One can only conclude you are unable to counter or answer to them, so you employ the childish approach of personal insults or steering away/changing the subject. Bravo :)
  21. Take everything Halfords say with a pinch of salt. I've worked there, Bit like asking for TV advice at Currys or Comet...
  22. Sidewall numbers (40, 45, 50, 55, etc) are percentages of the tyre width. So in a 215 (mm) 45 (%) 17 (inch) tyre, the sidewall is 96.75mm in height. In a 205/45/17, the sidewall is 45% of 205mm, not 215mm, making it 92.95mm.
