Wouldn't of thought so, but its always worth a try, if you open your bonnet your see the belt and bolt sticking out on a arm (the nut is pointing away from you) Check to see if the sound is from here, if it is just move then bolt along the arm a bit.

Its not one of your belts needs a bit tightening? is it quite high pitched? it could just be that

He should be able to sort it out, I've had one before, so picked up a few work around tips. Got to admit, it does make the car feel a whole lot different, I was a bit unsure when first installed (as I had to reverse!). but after about an hour I was racing "with in the speed limit" :winky: up and down roads.

Can't remember its been so long since I've driven What I did though (Don't laugh) was get that filler stuff for walls, jack my car up on the ramp, and squirt a TINY bit of that in gap, wait for it to dry slightly, then change through all the gears til its dry! worked a treat!! STOP LAUGHING!! I did have a bit of noise which I found out was that clip ring thing, which was touching the plate that sits on top, taped that up, and that was ok.... I love it though!

Has it busted your petrol gauge, cuz it seems to be reading empty?!! :P

You got a battery tester? Does it just make a "tick" sound when you turn the key? If so I'd say its that

Update: Only got 24hrs to drive my car, before I go away for a week! First time since fitting that I've had a good long drive in it. Bloody hell I Love it!!! Fitting instructions come with it, and trust me if I can fit it so can you!!! :P Last comment I said it won't help the gear problem, but now I can't really feel it changing from 1st-2nd (notchy). If any of you have any doubt in buying one.... Get one before they've all gone!! Got a couple of PM's asking what it feels like..umm.. You know what you think driving a rally car would feel like... Thats it! Short sharp movements, though you may need a bit of extra time in the gym to get in reverse!!

It won't solve your gear box problems (1st - 2nd gear). But those who want a gear change that fits the IS (I agree wit Mark, the IS gear change is under average for the car it is) this helps it ALOT!! ... What next? New light weight Flywheel, and that will make it spot on!! P.S. Mark did you get told about my credit card! hehe!!

Did you see me going to TDI, via Dublin, York, St Helens, Plymouth and Sydney? Kensington Green IS, with a rather puzzled driver behind the wheel!! There was loads of us, alomst felt like I was driving a B :tsktsk: W there was so many!!
