  1. Thanks for your coments. I saw the code myself as he was doing the diagonostic on my car at mercedes dealers and did see the code and underneath the code it read o2 sensor bank and bank 2. Like steve said it could have been an honest mistake by lexus. Ive got a price for the sensors for £182 each.
  2. Thank you for all your coments guys. I have a friend who works for mercedes and he put my ls430 on their computer. I was there so i saw what it said on the computer. It said code p1051 o2 sensor bank 1 and 2. So do you guys this Lexus were trying to rip me of with the vsv thing? He reset it for me and said take the car for a 10 min spin, if the eml comes on again, bring it in and ill put it on the computer again just to make sure it is the o2 sensors. So i did that, after around 10 mins the light came on again, again the computer found 2 faults o2 sensors bank 1 and 2.
  3. Thanks for your reply. I havent noticed any change in fuel cosumption. Its still the same. Its drives the same nice and quiet. But i dont know if the guy at Lexus was trying to make me spend my money but he did say the worse that will happen is the car will sound louder and louder.
  4. Hi Thanks for the reply. I suppose your right, the best thing i should do is look for a lexus specialist. But im i suppose to notice any change in the way the car drives? Because i havent noticed anything different. Thanks
  5. Hi guys I hope someone can help me. I have a 2001 Lexus ls430. The EML came on last week. I took it to lexus main dealers and they diagnosed it as a faulty vacuum switching valve. The part costs £62, but the labour cost is just over £600. The car drives fine without any problems, but i want this thing sorted out. Is this a common fault on the ls430 and is it a very hard job to do?? Thanks
