    I have a Is200 05 plate, and there are sensors in the front seats. If you sit in the car with engine on in passenger seat, and leave seat belt off, the seat belt light on the dash flashs, lift up and it goes off, Turn the alarm on with you inside the car, and sit on the passenger seat, alarm goes off!

    Not too sure, mine has only done 30K and needed new rear ones, the rear may wear out quicker, but are only around £180 for a new set of brakes

    Loads of Bull, I have had to have 2 new tyres, and have had Michelin fitted, it came with bridgestone tyres (bought the car second hand - 6 month old) and no problems

    the AUTOS are slower to set off, and have around 4 mph less at top speed. I own a IS200SE, and it is quite quick. Spesh when you go over 70mph, and place your foot to the floor, it drops down and gives you all the power you need, also, it has sports mode, which takes revs to 6040 when you need that extra power.

    change gear over 4500 rpm. I have an IS200SE, and becuase of the VTI, the peak revs are over 4000. I seam to fly once my car hits above 4500, so try and change at around 5500 RPM.

    Sports button is under the Snow button, just says Power. Only had the car 8 month, pressed it one day and what a difference. My wife tells me to stop it when i press that and place my foot to the floor. but i just love the noise!!

    love the lex more than the wife (only joking), my wife corners very fast. The other day i was in and she over took a car on a country road using the sports mode - shes worse than me!!

    the other day it was really bad snow / ice, i used the snow button and used L1 (1 st gear) and just started wheel spinning. Eventuly i have to make the back end move from left and right just to make the car move and inch. Also, when cornering very harsh, i have mananged to make the back end slide with the TRC on. Could anybody advise me of this as i am scared that my wife may take a corner and slide and not be able to control the car. I have a IS200 SE auto

    Hi, Does anybody have any idea what the Power button does on the IS200, when i press it all i can see happens is the engine holds its self in gears longer, which causes it to make a very nice noise, thanks d.Marsden

    hi, I am just wondering if it is the set-up of the car but when i place my foot to the floor on the IS200 SE, the car drops down 2 gears sometimes and normally hits around 6000RPM (near red), is this just the set-up of the gear-box / engine which does this as when over-taking you have to wait for the car to change up before you get full power, thanks
