I've also read this but mine is 12 also .buy good quality tyres and not run flats and the difference is massive .mine handles fine on our roads maybe on a track you might notice a difference but will the cost against the small difference be money well spent.

Hi all Is there any way you can tell if the belt has been replaced as there is no proof in the paper work that came with mine ,its a 52 car on 55k miles ,its mot record show it's had light use all of it's life although the records show 1st an 2nd owner's took good care of her but owners 3 and 4 only had her a year each and then when I got her my trusted garage gave her a full service plus disc and pads .I'm just wondering when if I should do it or not ,any advice appreciated many thanks john .

Hi On the dash the headlight leveling light is lit but they are working fine ,does anyone have any ideas?

Have a look on eBay under sc430 ,there's a breakers yard in Bolton scrapping one ,they might still have that part ,its an 05 plate it might save you a fair bit .I'm sure they could post it for a charge.worth a call .

Call autoglass and tell them your insurance company and they will no what your window excess is also if your vat registered you will have to pay that element as well. Window screen cover doesn't effect your main insurance policy as It's separate .but I enquired last week out of interest and the straight cost was 650 ,I only asked as one of my vans was getting one fitted.

There's no comparison between the the two ,everyone who sees my gold with saddle hide(tan/orange ) interior falls in love with it ,so keep an eye out for one ,you never get bored of people staring and coming over to have a look at it.do you get the same with your LS ,and as for power and drive it's just a love affair .

I to hate the Ariel ,been quoted £60 for a discrete windscreen one fitted .will disconnect the old one but leave it in place as well so it looks right .

Hi If you give an alloy wheel company a call they will be able to tell you what all your measurements are and which wheels that they have in stock will fit.just give them your car details ,you can also give them the details of maybe a GS430 for example and see if the numbers match if they do you have a bigger choice of lexus wheels ,hope this helps . Remember sometimes the answers are simple a wheel question =wheel shop .

Well got the wheels back this morning ,just proves there are still some people left with integrity in this country ,or maybe sc drivers are conscious about what people think of them .either way I proved my point to my grumpy farther inlaw.everyone wins.

Only two others ,both were recently sold ,Birmingham and London but they were vinyl wraps ,so not true cars.

I'm in leeds and I have a set in my garage ,2with good tread ,2 with just legal tread .although one wheel has no disc as had to break it to get the locking nut off , If you can get to Leeds you can borrow them ,but I don't drink so no need for whisky,

I think you can buy a cassette tape from currys .plug your mp3 into the tape and insert that into the stereo and your done ,simple and costs about 20 quid I think ,hope it helps.

Hi yes I removed my cd player and fixed my error3 issue ,but when I type in error4 the search engines come up with the error3 solutions,to take the cd unit apart is quite simple ,if you want to call me I can talk you through it ,I live in Leeds if your coming close by I would do it for you and take a look inside ,sometimes its a simple fix ,bear in mind I'm an interior builder not a technician so no guarantee I can definitely fix it but if you fancy a long drive I'm sure we could sort it between us .I'm not interested in money I'm just trying to help so send me an email and ill get in touch ,johncobb52@hotmail.com. 07957965491.

Have you fixed this error4 problem yet ,if not have you removed the stereo and had a look inside of the unit ,sometimes you can see the problem and its an easy fix ,if you need help getting the unit out reply to this link and ill talk you through the stages ,all the best john

Hi ray Yes but I don't want a bad boy noise but a nice mature barble that the car deserves.Lexus has done a great job silencing the v8 I just want to hear it a little ,I just wondered if anyone has done it already and what was the outcome.

hi all i was wondering about getting a custom stainless exhaust for my sc ,the guy in the garage has told me that it will improve acceleration ,mpg and give a smoother drive bt im not sure it will .can anybody shed some light on this subject before i buy .its a longlife agent that ive seen,any advise will be greatly appreciated pros or cons please many thanks john

hi no not nearly enough.check out autotrader for prices and milage ,yours should be around 6.5 k all the way up to 10k depending on the history and condition ,colour plays a big part in how quick it will sell as well ,but 4.7k ..... if it was me hed be on the floor cheeky git. if you dont need the money now stick it up for 8k and wait ,may is going to be nice and thats when people start to look ,also park it where people can see it with a sign saying its yours for 8k ,but please dont let it go for 4.7 it`s just not cricket, i hope you do well john

hi im from leeds theres 5 sc430`s here that im aware of silver/black ,black/black x2 ,sand/cream and my sand with saddle.i still think mines best colour combo, but im biased.

hi everyone im new on here,and i`ve already saved money by searching how to do things on here myself.i`ve just sorted the dreaded error3 on cd player it only took 45mins from start to finish but now i`ve got some new wheels i`ve just seen the method to dissconect the tpm which i could have done at the same time as the cd oh well consol out again . the problem with the cd player was a locating pin which jumped out of alignment after a pot hole,used a match to line the cd`s up after removing the cd top ,the pin fell into place and nows all`s well again ,the only tip i would give people is to use a cloth for protection from sharp edges of the player on the wood and to use hands only (no tools needed) .
