My son had one through Co-OP Young Driver insurance in his first car (a 2004 Group 1 C2 ) . Even with the box the premium was £2200 . Basically the policy was "reviewed" every 3 months and a new policy issued based on the driving results (harsh braking/accelerating, night time use etc ) .
First 3 months the review gave an overall rating of "Good" and we got back £159 rebate . Second 3 months nothing as the overall rating stayed the same - that said if the rating had sropped they can ask for additional premium based on certain percentages.
In essence it was OK for a first car for young driver but i wouldn't touch a policy with one myself and soon as my son had his first years no claims he ditched the policy as quick as poss.
Only done one trip two weeks ago to Isle of Wight from Kent so only a 2 hr journey each way and car only had 600 miles on when I left so didnt push it at all but did sit at 60 on cruise for most of the way.
Got 21mpg .
Does anyone know how to remove the shelf from the glovebox. It has "Removable" moulded into the plastic but I cannot work out how to remove it! There is no mention of it in the Handbook.
What am I doing wrong?
Thought I'd been spotted in the RX then, I was on hols on the island but arrived Sat 3rd Aug on 8am ferry - I was towing a caravan too so easy to spot , guuted thought was first spot in the Lexus (had about 10 in previous BMW)
Has anyone solved this yet?
I have a Blackberry Torch 9810 and have set up a My Lexus account, but when I try to search online I just get a Data Connection Not Possible message . I guess this could be the phone (I'm not technically minded at all so will struggle knowing about PAn etc etc).
Got to agree the stand did look a bit pathetic, especially with Lexus sponsoring the information areas you would have thought the stand would have been more impressive!
