I know its a daft question but have you tried a new battery in the fob? I have had false alarm issues with that alarm if microwave sensor is set too sensitive but its usually a reliable alarm

Hi ted how old is your ls and has your fob got a black and a red buttom?

Hi wallace try and push on dash where it meets the screen if noise goes away then to cure it properly will req dash removal as there are some white dash mounting clips at the rear of dash that need packing out with some felt or sponge also when dash is out pack out demist vents and flange on bulkhead. Hi all I too have had loads of probs with that alarm even when I worked at main dealers it was fitted to early ls400ucf20 and was a cat1 alarm but as in previous posts the company went bust and you cannot get parts anymore. It has a rolling code and the switch on the side of the fob is to turn on /off interior protection.they can lose cpde if battery goes flat and there are various ways to resync (not all successful!!) I have bypassed quite a few but no alarm but car starts.alarm was originally fitted at import centre after coming off the boat.later ls400 had different fob and used toyota tvss system with extras fitted here to make it cat1 Sent from my GT-I8190N using Tapatalk

Sounds like back plate catching inner edge of rear disc.the back plate has a lip that corrodes and swells and catches the disc.only catches when loaded on a corner Sent from my GT-I8190N using Tapatalk

Hi I have stripped and cleaned out rx hight sensors but usually the brass spring contacts corrode really badly and turn black so unfortunately its a new sensor or a known good one Sent from my GT-I8190N using Tapatalk

Hi only just read this post but it cot be a problem with the hight sensors if car has been on a two post ramp and suspension has dropped to full extent.usually its the rears. If you can disconnect the rods and see if they are stiff. I've not heard of any air suspension ecu reset when I worked at main dealers hope this helps Sent from my GT-I8190N using Tapatalk

Its not the valve clearances that are making the noise its the exhaust to intake cam gears that are rattling due to the scissor gear not having any tension.it cause an immediate problem but it req sorting asap. Shame you aren't near sheffield as we could do it for you! But it will req cams out and scissor gear resetting.its hard to explain but you need to remove cams and twist the cam with the scissor gear on and lock it with a 10mm bolt when the holes line up then refit cams and set up valve timing and rebuild Sent from my GT-I8190N using Tapatalk

Hi sounds like vvti controlers getting noisy on start up usually inlet side on both banks .have changed these in situ without taking off timing chain cover using lexus special tools Sent from my GT-I8190N using Tapatalk

Hi when I worked at main dealers think there was a warranty extension on rear calipers but not a recall.i have freed off plenty of these on is and gs (similar caliper) though hope this helps Sent from my GT-I8190N using Tapatalk

Hi have had audio/sat nav unit lock out before try taking negative terminal off battery for a few minutes and reconnect. Sometimes have had to disconnect audio unit its self though which means taking it out of dash! Sent from my GT-I8190N using Tapatalk

Hi not aware of any aftermarket replacement and when we used to send them for repair nobody could get parts but that might have changed! I have fitted customers secondhand amps before as new were really expensive! Someone on forum might know of any though Sent from my GT-I8190N using Tapatalk

hi looking on your profile you have a ls430. When I worked at main dealers ls430 used to suffer from amp probs causing similar faults that you have especially on levinson amps hope this helps Sent from my GT-I8190N using Tapatalk

Sorry only just got back! I still think you'll have to take seats and parcelshelf out to restart bolts.when I worked at main dealers seem to remember stiffer torsion bars were available for is boot lids with spoilers to help lift them higher Sent from my GT-I8190N using Tapatalk
