Sorry for not updating this! I fitted the calliper just over a week ago, no warning lights and the new one fits just fine! Sold the old calliper for half what I paid for the new one so didn't cost me too much! :) -

I've found Russell at Lexus Sheffield to be extremely knowledgeable and helpful! Looks to me as the kind of part Toyota will have used in a number of vehicles so a good chance it will be a cheap fix. At any rate cheaper than of you'd gotten someone else to diagnose it!

You'll need to host the picture on a website such as imgur for us to see it Gary. May even be the sort of thing that's surprisingly cheap from a dealer, worth asking!

I also refused to buy an Auto, they aren't for everyone but I'll admit there have been times I've wished I had an auto. The manual is a little notchy but once you adapt to it you'll have no issues with it, can't beat rev matching down the gears and that sense of achievement that goes with it! The tax is £485, but if you found a 55 plate it'd be a lot less. As above drive both and see what you think! Either way welcome to the club!

I've seen the older ones around the local USAF base. Not keen on the older ones to be honest, too closely related to the Camry.

Not needed to do this is mine but try adjusting everything else to the complete opposite and try again. I sometimes have to do this to fix my lumbar adjustment as well as the tilt in my Dad's car.

Yeah I couldn't see any obvious sensor but didn't know how sensetive the system is! Assuming I'm going to need to top off the brake fluid, what have you used? DOT 3 seems to be correct but hard to come by!

So the outcome of this is that I've ordered a new calliper from Lexus Sheffield, fantastic service from Russell there. He advised cars made up until mid 06 had the 10 L/R 43 and cars after that had the 18 L/R 43 so the latter is the correct one for my 07.

It took me about 4 months to find mine, if you want a Sport or an SE-L with MM you'll be in for a wait for the right one, but it is worth the wait!

Sounds like cooling system, as above check the coolant level!

So I discovered whilst replacing my brake pads that I have not matching callipers. On the left 18 L 43 on the right 10 R 43. Hence the new pads don't actually fit. Not sure why the previous owner chose to do this but will be speaking to Lexus on Monday about ordering a new calliper. Anyone know if you can replace calliper without kicking up a warning light?

Saving money isn't cool? Not but it does mean you can spend more on cool things rather than petrol, point of LPG isn't to increase MPG it's to take advantage of the lower cost of the fuel itself. Never done enough miles to warrant it myself but would consider it if I did!

Heated washer jets? I didn't know such a thing existed or would be necessary but I now want them! I have emailed Michael and had a great response so once I've resolved a few more major issues with my car this will be next on the list! -
I fitted genuine pads from Lexus Sheffield yesterday, both rear callipers were seized and took a lot of effort to put right! Keep up the maintenance on these folks!

Should be easy enough, may require a TORX socket. Does yours have leccy and or heated/cooled seats? That may complicate things
