  1. Looks really good. Can wait for a IS-F meet and look at the car in flesh. Any ideas when the next meet will be?
  2. With the dealers pricing varying so much; does anyone know what the cost is to change discs and pads all round, labour only at lexus?
  3. Hi James, How did you get on? I am currently looking for some pads for front and rear. I have ordered discs all round (brembo) I ended up paying £318.00 for all four. I am still deciding between Hawk, EBC (yellow stuff) and Porterfield. Any recommendations would be welcome from people that may have any of the above. I know Peter is a big fan of Porterfield and I have read some very good reviews of them on the forums. However, equally I have read good reviews of Hawk and EBC. I am currently on the second pair of EBC (redstuff) on my Golf R32 and I have been very pleased with them. Any help would be very much appreciated. Cheers Sully
  4. Hi guys, Just thought I would let you all know I had my water pump replaced under warranty today. I have been on the US website and many owners did not know they had a leak until they checked as the coolant level decreases slowly. The easiest way to check is to lift the bonnet and then shine a torch towards the bottom left of the engine. If you can see pink crust then your water pump is leaking. My advice would be to check yours in case it is leaking. Sully
  5. Mine is 08. It did not come with warranty. I purchased warranty when it went in for servicing around 6 weeks ago. I got the 2 years for the price of 1 extended warranty. I have been on the US owners site and a few people on there were not even aware their pump was leaking until they checked. My advice would be to check yours. When you lift the bonnet just shine a torch towards the bottom left of the engine. If you can see a dried stream of pink crust then the pump is leaking.
  6. I would most definitely recommend the warranty. I noticed the coolant level was down. Checked with torch towards the left side of the engine and could see coolant that had crust up on the outside. Car went into dealers and warranty has covered for a new water pump. Will be collecting car later today. Sully
  7. I have noticed prices are all over the place. There is a red one for sale on Auto Trader priced at £28,995. That one was with RRG ROCHDALE a few weeks ago priced at £23,995. Not quite sure how they can justify increasing the price by £5k just because now it's down south with a Lexus dealer! Crazy. However it does help current owners with their values.
  8. Congratulations pal. Trust me you will enjoy it. I still can't wipe the smile off my face every time I drive it! Sully
  9. Just checked and mine is saying it is not affected. Has anyone actually smelt fuel during driving or getting in and out of the car?
  10. Hi guys, I was wondering how many owners there were in the North of England and if there were any meets going on up here? Cheers Sully
  11. Thanks for the link. It does seem it can be done. I have sent the link to my friend.
  12. Just checked mine is affected but to be honest not had any fuel smell.
  13. Sorry should have been more clear, the car has to have less than 140k at the start of the warranty
  14. Yeah got that yesterday also. I thought it was for cars up to 7 years old but it is actually 10 years old with unlimited mileage. Unbelievable. Just goes to show the confidence they have in the cars. You would never get such a deal from merc or bmw!
  15. Mine had the 60k service yesterday. Suprisingly the pads and discs were fine. 50% worn on rears and 60% worn on the front. Was advised to change discs when pads need doing. There I was thinking they all needed doing.
  16. It's on eBay at the moment. http://pages.ebay.com/link/?nav=item.view&id=171493705086&alt=web
  17. Hi Keith, I have checked various threads and it is for the reasons you have stated. Looks like he won't be getting one now. Oh well. I can stay unique!
  18. Hi guys, Need to pick your brains. As you may be aware I have recently purchased an ISF. Naturally a lot of my friends have never seen one 8 the flesh. I must say they have been very impressed. One friend in particular has been blown away by it and wants one, however the one big thing that is stopping him is the two seats in the back as he needs three. So he has asked me if it is possible to swap the two seats in the isf for the three seats from a normal IS? Any information on this would be really helpful. Thanks Sully
  19. Will do. Needs a good polish and wax. I have been too busy driving it. All I can say is what a car! It honestly ticks all the boxes for me and the fact they are so rare.
  20. I think I know which one you are talking about. That black one was 2009 plate and had similar miles. That one was in Southampton.
  21. He bought it from Lexus Reading in 2013 as an AUC. Might be the same one.
  22. Emailed Lexus Bradford and informed them that fixed price servicing is not fixed but capped so they have now given me a 10% discount. Which brings it down to £805. I guess that's the best I am going to get up north.
  23. I always thought Lexus were very keen on customer service, however does not look like that's the case here.
  24. That's the response I got from Lexus UK. So what they are saying is that fixed price is not fixed. Unbelievable.
