  1. So my friend had arranged to view the car on Sunday, however the owner emailed him saying the following: 'It has been pointed out to me that either yourself or your friend have been on the lexus forum asking about my car. I do not appreciate this at all as it leads to brain dead geeks commenting on your sale without any basis just speculation on a negative tone with their thoughts' Given the above my friend has decided not to go view the car. I find his email very odd and it has led to him losing a sale. I do not feel what I did was wrong in any way and I was just looking out for my friend.
  2. I got stoptech front pads from itec tuning. So far so good. They were around £130
  3. 38 years old Financial Services Consultant (contractor) IS-F lover and part time drifter (not in IS-F!)
  4. I have got pagid pads on the rear of mine and they have performed well. I have just last week changed the fronts from pagid to stoptech. The pagids lasted for over 12 months however I would not get them for the fronts again.
  5. Thanks for your responses guys. He has mailed the gentleman and will be viewing this weekend. I will keep you posted. Thanks Sully
  6. Hi guys, A very good friend of mine is looking to buy an IS-F. He has seen this one (link at bottom) for sale and is hoping to go see it. Does anyone know the car or is the owner on the forum? Any information will be much appreciated. http://m.ebay.co.uk/itm/142087180015?_mwBanner=1 Thanks Sully
  7. It definitely would. I had a play in the snow with the ISF and it does drift well.
  8. I only have one or two vid to be honest which is on you tube. I need to get a go pro really and start filming more. Still trying to get to grips with it but improving each time. Drifting is very addictive. https://m.facebook.com/story.php?story_fbid=10153895497531554&id=696196553 Another short vid.
  9. Ok brilliant. Thanks for letting me know. Will try and make the Malton one. I agree with the roads in Yorkshire being some of the best. Especially North Yorkshire. The road going to Hawes is one of my favourites.
  10. Hahaha I started this topic in 2014! Glad to see more owners have joined us in the North. I might be able to make this tomorrow if I can rearrange some things. If I do, I look forward to meeting fellow ISF owners. Sully
  11. Forgot to mention in the above post, I sat in the GS-F at the Geneva Motorshow and I was very pleased with it. I have a feeling a lot of ISF owners will move onto the GSF.
  12. Hi Guys, Not been on here in ages. I had some issues with my password a while ago and never got round to sorting it until tonight. Still have my ISF. It will hit 70k miles by next week. Fortunately as we all know with these cars I do not have anything to report as it has not put a foot wrong since the water pump was changed under warranty. Still throughly enjoying the car and look forward to driving it everytime. Early this Weeke I drove to Geneva via France for the motorshow and it was a great drive there and back. It eats up the miles no problem. This year I bought some winter tyres for it and the two occasions we have had snow it has been perfect. I have not got stuck once and it was quite bad snow up here the last time we had it. So what have I been up to, well since my last post on here which was in 2015, I have since got into drifting. I tend to go drifting once a month in Birmingham and will be at the teeside auto drone in April and no I do not drift the ISF! I have got a e36 compact which is set up for drifting and I have also bought a road legal e36 which again is set up for drifting. I had a quick scan of recent posts and I would like to say hi to the new people that have joined. You will thoroughly enjoy the ISF I can assure you of that, you made the right decision with this car! Sully
  13. Congratulations. Definitely the right choice in getting an IS-F
  14. Congratulations Ace. Being a relatively new owner myself, I can honestly say you have made the right choice! They are an awesome car!
  15. I got michelin pilot super sports the other week. Event tyres are doing a deal with michelin where if you buy 4 19" tyres you get £100 fuel card. They worked out about 170 each for me. Plus they are mobile so will come to you
  16. I am absolutely gutted! Unfortunately I am unable to make as something has come up at last minute. I was really looking forward to seeing other ISFs. I will definitely make it next time. Please can someone take pics or even vids of the meet and post on here if possible.
  17. Well you will all have to excuse my dirty car. I am stuck at work all day tomorrow and I have not had a chance to clean it since the Don Palmer day on Wednesday. So it looks like a quick rinse down before I leave on Sunday morning and no doubt will get filthy on the trip down as I will be doing quite a few miles!
  18. I have started to read up this product. Seems good to me. A bit expensive but I think it would pay for itself in regards to keeping you safe from points on your licence. I think it would go well with also having maybe the snooper 3zero.
  19. There is one in the states that has got over 170k miles on the clock. Still going strong with no issues.
  20. Looks a beast! Looking forward to seeing it in the flesh in April
  21. Must have been one of the staff members taking it home.
  22. Spotted a white RC-F today around 5:45pm as it was going into Ellend, Halifax. I must say it looked good and sounded awesome!

  24. Hi Jon, Sorry for late reply. I did the Ride Drive performance car course including an hour on airfield. If you are interested then have a look on their website. They get very good reviews especially with TVR owners. You are taught by a class 1 police driving instructor and they teach you the police roadcraft system. It is good but I found some parts to be dated for today's cars, for example they want you to finish braking before you change down for a bend. This is to ensure the car is balanced before entering the bend, however we can downshift while braking as the isf will rev match (blip) so it should be fine to brake and downshift at the same time. If the car is manual then they dont like heel and toe etc. Also they like to see pull push steering which I found the hardest thing to do however I can see it's merits in certain situations. But don't let these two issues put you off. They are not too strict when it comes to speed (making progress as they call it) when in NSL and they do encourage you to 'make progress' they teach you things such as looking very far ahead and anticipating hazards. I must say my driving as become a lot smoother since the course. I will say it's better to do 2 half days rather than 1 full day as you do end up very tired towards the end as you are concentrating so much and I do not feel you gain much in the last 2 hours. I do recommend them and the person who runs the company is called Julian Smith. Might be worth giving him a call and having a chat. They can do courses all over the country so location is not an issue. I will be having another half day later in the year just to work on a few things. As I enjoyed the handling bit of the course and really want to see what the isf is capable of I have booked with Don Palmer in 2 weeks to spend a day with him and test out the handling of the isf. He is quite expensive compared to Andy Walsh but taking into consideration the distance of Carlimits from me and the fact I would have to stay over in a hotel Don Palmer day cost was not much in it in the end.
