  1. What does that mean to customers? I've googled them but can't find anything particularly good or bad about Jemca, so am I not the only one that was treated this way?
  2. I shall await patiently! While we're on the subjects of official dealerships, I sent an email to Lexus Reading saying I'm interested in one particular SE-L, got an email back next day asking what time I would prefer to be contacted to discuss details and purchase. I've replied that preferably 0900-1000 and after my reply Lexus rep went radio silent. No one called. Left home to work, came back in the evening. Radio silence. Went on Lexus used cars website, car is gone. While I understand someone probably just came and bought it while I was awaiting for contact back, complete lack of communication is not what you expect from 7 years of JD Power survey award in customer service. But I won't give up!
  3. In the end I walked away and never bothered coming back. As much as I would love SE-L without Air, it's just not worth it. I bought cars in the past where I thought "nah I'm gonna fix that in the future", and never did. I'm in no rush now, I'll wait for my model. I had Lexus card bought from LOC members, that were in brand new showroom condition having 108.000 Miles on the clock, but I also bought another Lexus from LOC member that turned out to be a lemon after 300 Miles. I had cars with FSH that failed after 1000 Miles, and part service history that lasted me 4 years with me just doing basic stuff like brakes and oils. Shame SE-I with sunroof is such a rarity, and I would have to fork out extra for Advance, or go with SE-L and risk Air, but I'll see about that. Might actually see if I can fork out something extra from my pocket and maybe buy used from Lexus directly if I can't find anything. As daft as it sounds I just love sunroo, but each to their own 🙂 Thank You all for Your contribution, there's a lot of food for thought with that.
  4. Also, in the end after me checking everything, I switched it off, went out with the fob in my hand, realised I haven't checked the sunroof, came back left the fob in the centre cup holder, and the car wouldn't start. Nav screen was black, the gauges were lit but READY didn't come on. Turned if off and on couple of times, kept the key fob close to start button (at least that's how it worked in my 3GS450h in case batteries are low), but no luck. Did thag with the foot on the break. No idea.
  5. Amazing. Thank You so much for this post, I looked at the car with the phone in my hand reading what you've written. I've viewed the car today and wasn't particularly impressed. The seller started with "it's not ready yet" to my overall confusion. So I asked "what's the story"? Well the left mirror was hanging, but "will be replaced". The left LED headlamp didn't work at all (straight steering wheel, no indicators on but not sure if it switches off when indicators are on anyway). So left wing mirror and left headlamp, might indicate something bigger. Everything else did work, but it does look neglected. Well I know in current climate most cars might look neglected, but it could do with brake pads being replaced all around and oil change (black like Mercedes owners heart). He said that if I'll put a deposit down and he'll see I'm interested he'll fix the mirror and LED lamp, not sure why You wouldn't do it in general, but I don't run a car dealership so I'm none the wiser. Overall though I was happy with the experience, as realised I don't need HUD, as it looked nice but not that useful, and ventilated seats aren't a must as I thought. ML audio played brilliantly though, but apparently standard SE-I audio setup isn't THAT different so might look for a different model in the end.
  6. Exactly this. Hence why I'm so inclined to just get it, no air but all other SE-L goodies including wooden steering wheel, sunroof, ventilation, HUD, LEDs, ML. To good to be true! I'm going to view it tomorrow/Monday. Shame about the warranty, but I'll see what I can get, maybe Lexus will somehow look in to this and still apply it even though it's 11 years old.
  7. Not sure if it's the same NW sales, as the ones You've posted are registered in Dorset, but are based in Manchester? Might be a branch or something
  8. Good Evening good people of LOC I need a bit of a help with one particular RX450h SE-L, and the company that’s trying to sell it, that I’ve spotted on Autotrader and eBay. I am all too familiar with “if it’s too good to be true, it probably is”, and this particular vehicle might be a perfect example of this. So, who’s the patient? 2009 RX450h SE-L without air suspension, but with sunroof and ventilated seats (which hope are as good as on my previous 07 GS450h, and 04 LS430). ML is a nice touch, so is the HUD, and LED lights, but I love sunroofs and ventilated seats, and it seems like You HAVE to go for SE-L if You want Your bottom to be a bit chilly. Luckily, sunroof can be had with Advance models, so might reconsider. I looked up MOT service history, and it did have some oddities (YX59 RTV reg plate), like Nearside Front Lower engine mounting deteriorated resulting in excessive movement (6.1.D.1a) @ 99.000 miles, but nothing more than that. The company that sells the vehicle is called NW Car Sales on Autotrader, and Wayfair Fleet LTD on eBay. Same car, but a bit more expensive on ebay. I couldn’t find much about NW Car Sales, but Wayfair Fleet LTD has been registered in 2018 and specialises in leasing taxis. Apparently it only has 2 employees. Both registered at the same address which is Unit 51 Mountheath Industrial Estate Ardent Way, Prestwich Manchester Greater Manchester M25 9WE. The thing is, street view, and google shows that Unit 51 is registered to Bollin Valley LTD, which can be seen on the picture 1, and actual Wayfair Fleet TLD is registered at 3 Fairway, Prestwich, United Kingdom, M25 0JF. Apparently the car also has full Lexus service history (pic 2). Couple of questions. Am I too paranoid, or something doesn’t feel right in here? Can I ring up Lexus, and confirm the vehicle had these services done, or it won’t be disclosed? Having FLSH, and 123000 on the clock, will I be able to put on Lexus Warranty?
  9. If anyone needs any help with any polish translations, I’m Polish myself, so if any help is needed just let me know.
  10. Since I csnt find a decent roof rack for 2nd gen GS (nonexistent), I might avoid buying RX, and stick to saloon cars. Used to have 04 LS430 and loved every minute with it (guess how it died? Yeah, coolant from radiator and transmission fluid mixed...) Can you point me in the US £300 roof rack direction? Does this price include shipping? Customs?
  11. For me it was replacing the battery (got Bosch from Amazon for £90), and alternator + alternator belt. Left the car for 2 months and started first thing. I even left the boot open recently with the boot light on whole night, and it started without any issues next day. 2001 GS300 with 160.000 miles
  12. Model number. First gen was XU10, second XU30, third A10 etc. Amazing, thank you for the links
  13. Not many videos or reviews about UK spec 3RX450h, but am I right in thinking pre A10 don't support A2DP (music streaming) from phone, and post facelifts do? I've seen in couple of videos BT Audio on post-facelifts, but nothing like that on pre-facelift, unless it's trim-dependant (i.e SE-L has it)? Thanks
  14. I'm going to view a couple of pre/post facelift A10s, and I love the way the under trays and roof rails look on both models of 3RX450h. Can you buy them separately from Lexus? Is there any reliable source to buy them? Couple I'm viewing already has them, couple not, but I would love to have them. Also, weirdly enough Lexus brochure claims roof fails are not to be used to carry luggage, so I believe they're there only to look nice (which they do). Any ideas? Thanks in "advance" 😶 for the answers.
  15. Ouch sorry forgot to mention 2007 which makes me hard to believe that someone did over 261.000 miles in 3 years. Unless you drive throughout Europe :) Anyway thanks for suggestions I'll double check MOT paperwork. Again it shows milage up to 66000 but the seller claims it's FS Lexus History and apparently Lexus did a major service at 100.000
  16. So I'm after a GS450h and I've found a really nice example. Not too cheap not to expensive but I've decided before I go 100+ miles to see it I'll do an official HPI check. And so I did. And that's what I've found out on the mileage. I ran DVLA and they said we don't hold any information or store any checks and she admitted that it might have been a mistake because apparently 261.000 (done by DVLA) and then 26.300 (by Lexus) is quite similar (really?). I'm gonna check the MoT if the seller has MoT papers with him but it's really odd. And what happened between 2007 and 2010? On top of that Seller claims last 100.000 check was done by Lexus but then again it shows information up to 2013 and 60k+ miles. I suppose Lexus doesn't have to supply anyone with mileage information? Or it might be a Lemon with fake stamps after 60.000?
  17. iPod connector in 2006 GS? I thought they did the iPod connector on the 08 and up?
  18. Good Evening Everyone I'm looking in to buying MK3 GS450h (2006-2008) and was looking for anyone with one of those to check if my pram would fit in to the boot. It's a small pram but still I'd prefer to check that. Doesn't cost you anything but would help a lot in terms of making up my mind. I had an LS400 back in Poland and it fitted perfectly. Now I've got even bigger boot in Mondeo but I want to go back to my favourite brand and hence the question. I can even bring a pack of coffe or tea if we could take it for a ride as I've never driven to an E-CVT car and would like to see how it performs. By the looks of Fifth Gear presenter it's not that amazing :) But what do they know?! Kind Regards Bart
