Hi Andyman...im not a expert on these here ls400 yet,but it could be a number of things... Dirty fuel filter or a bad batch of fuel from the pertol station etc... When was it last serviced? Did it loss power overnight...got in the car next day and it was like it? or when you were driving it,ok one minute,playing up the next? Could like i say be a number of things..

Not sure of the "blue thing" :D ...anyone going up there this saturday,be aware of these little low kit cars as it would be easy to run over the top of um,and look in your mirrors alot....nothing behind one glace...look again and theres some mighty TVR or Lotus Carlton bearing down on you,best to indicate and move out the way for um.. Take it steady for the first few laps,seen to many cars go off on there first lap . also before this year,you had 5 laps and that was it...it was easy to cook your brakes in the first few....this year it will be a timed session of 15 minutes so you should be out on track for longer even more chance of cookin the brakes.. ;) I will be up there on the AUTOBAHNSTORMERS pitch(bringing the 400 up)so dont be afraid to come over for a chat... :) i will keep a look out for is and ls Lexus models.. If you want to drive on the track,get there for the drivers safety meetings which i think start at 8.30am,and remember to sign the disclaimer form or they wont let you on...oh and theres a sound level test if your motors got a loud zorst. :o There should also be less cars out on track so it should be safer. Not if the seats are designed for comfort and dont have much side support,theres less support with the LS.. so the gear selector acts like a grab handle :D :D

I always drive with the one hand,Gives you more feel,feed back as to whats happening at the front... :D what with PAS now a days on most cars. :winky:

The camcorder was fixed by a sucker mount bracket(i bought from the camera shop) to the rear window....oh by the way that is my misses,that was not long after i first met her,so she was abit nervous and she doesnt drive...so fair play to her for trusting me... :D The cars also running the standard 205/65/15 tyres...

See yesterday the car was parked out the front of my work,in a yard with other units..i goes up the chipshop like i do everyday,comes out the chipshop and notices the back drivers door has been marked by some thing.It was i thought dry crumbley paint,it all rubbed off with no damage to the paint or door... Gets back to work thought about it...then phoned the chipshop and asked about the gates by where i park,asking what colour they are,they say white.The mark on me door was sort of light yellow.All afternoon im thinking its been done up at the chip shop,so are work i drives up,the gates are bright white in colour,so it must have been done in the morning at work. So last night im putting 2 and 2 together,the bloke i work with went outside on the forklift,taking a pallet over to our other unit,thinking about it the crumbley paint is in fact wood from a pallet.So i goes next door this morning and asks if they saw anything(it could have also been next door who damaged it) they says they didnt do it or see anyone do it..IT REALLY PISSES ME OFF THAT NO ONE OWNS UP TO DOING IT So i cant really have ago at anyone cos im not sure whos done it,but its next door or the bloke in our place..getting to the point if id had a alarm on the car IT WOULD have gone off,im just lucky that where it rubbed on the lower part of the door,its where the door curves so its on a strong point of the door so no damage...maybe its me but i can honestly say that if i damaged something then id own up to it. If the car had been alarmed i would have heard it and could have gone out and saw who hit me motor.

Hi all,im looking at getting a car alarm fitted to me ls400.. whats everyones thoughts on which is the best alarm,and best value for money alarm..any thoughts please...

the old wheels....the tyres worn on the outside... the new alloys...may be different make tyres? are wearing on the insides he says the pressures have always been set to the manufactures spec on a plate on the car somewhere..

thanks for all your replys so far...his tyres are slick on both the inside of the wheels and 4mm on the outsides sounds like me boss is not alone with these problems.. i was really shocked when he pointed out the wear on the front tyres...i just hope me ls400 not going to have the same problems he doesnt drive his car that hard around corners so hes surprized with the way the tyres have worn..he says its in for a service next month,so hes hoping they can sort it out..

Hi all,my boss has a IS200 SE on a Y plate... hes had the car from new and the car is well mantained... The front tyres have uneven tyre wear on the insides of the tyres... they were put on new and have may be done 6000 miles or so..the out sides of both tyres have plenty of tread left on them... is this a common problem with the is200... the car has the factory 17s alloy wheels.. does anyone have any info on whats causing the tyres to wear unevenly? the car has only done 20,000 miles from new... the alloys were replaced by lexus last year because of corrosion on the alloys.. with the old alloys the tyres were wearing on the outside of the tyres on both wheels..any thoughts please?
