Hi, can some of you post up some pictures of different front grills on a Mk2 GS with the names of the grills and also chin spoilers.
Im thinking of changing mine as it's those things that leave the car looking dated.
Cheers

Wow, all sorts of options in that lot.
Thanks Lee.

No I've got one of those and it annoys me a lot.
The thread I'm on about was a how to on how to take the head unit apart and move a plug over or do some soldering or something. It was on a US forum.

Hi, someone posted a link on here quite a while ago now from the American owners forum about a guy who changed the function of the tape button on the stereo to accept an iPod on a 3.5mm jack lead. He took the head unit out and moved a plug over inside or something like that.
I can't find it now, any of you boffins out there know what I'm talking about?

I think you've done a grand job @Monocle. I did my own wheels on my MR2 Mk1 and I have to agree with you, it really is a ball ache of a job but even after all these years I still look at them and think 'I did those'.
I started with a clean up wheel first then 600 wet n dry all the way down to 1200.

This can be as aggressive or as gentle as you make it and best used in a cordless drill. It will leave marks which is why you need to do the wet n dry thing.
I didn't paint mine as I wanted the mirror polished effect.
On the other hand, only last week I had my GS wheels powder coated in a chrome finish for £275 inc VAT which I was well happy with.

Well further investigation found that the creaking was my new front anti roll bar bushes.
I went for the silicone spray approach and I'm glad to report it worked. I got in the car the next morning and all was quiet. Yay.
Alas, in the evening the creaking was back and there all the time as apostrophe to only over big bumps when it first started.
I going to hit it with WD40. I'll report back.

Yep ... that familiar screaming trash can sound...
Love the fact that fuel light came on at top speed. (51secs) I know that feeling well.

I thought so. My most expensive quote was £360+ VAT.

Yeah no problem. £275 inc VAT. For that they got stripped, media blasted back to metal, checked for buckles and cracks, dints and scuffs repaired, primed and powder coated then new valve and tyre back on and balanced.

Exactly my thoughts. Not sure yet what to do with them to get the exact look. Maybe a vinyl wrap and the put the emblem back on?

No problems at all a Norwich. They take the card, scan it and the total is discounted. Happy days.👍🏼

I have creaking suspension from the lower arm bushes. I've washed them with a pressure washer but the creaking persists.

Does anyone know if WD40 attacks rubber?

I know John, it's just the rebel in me. I've been haveing my windows tinted since 2004 with the same configuration (5% rear screen, 35% rear sides & 60% front sides) and I've never been stopped. I put this down to the fact that a, all my cars are not in the boy racer category i.e Corolla, Megan, Espace etc, b, the fronts are always lighter than the backs so they look more legal & c, I've been lucky.
I know it might happen one day so I'm not kidding myself but I'll take the wrap if it does.

I used a company in Norwich called VTA Customs. £200 with lifetime guarantee.

Thanks Mr Fish👌

Fronts are done but to 60%. I know it's illegal but with the bright interior it doesn't look so dark. Those pictures were also taken at 9.45 last night. I'll put some daytime ones on today.
