  1. Thanks for that.... I'll get mine ordered from DemonPlates tomorrow. :) Cheers Dave.
  2. Cheers for that.... Is it the standard width? Cheers Dave.
  3. Just wondered if there were any recommendations for the cheapest place to get a K&N filter for my IS300??? Any suggestions appreciated. Cheers Dave.
  4. Thanks. Applied for it just now..... Let the junk mail begin. :winky: Cheers Dave.
  5. Cheers for that that's exactly what i wanted. :winky: I have a two sets of the PY21W's that i've just taken off the current car that i'm trading in for the IS300 so i just need to get one pair of bulbs. Cheers.... That's the list i was talking about..... It was the website saying they were the same bulb front and rear which threw me. I think the list is missing the sun viser bulbs which are fuse type bulbs i believe. Cheers Dave.
  6. Steve doesn't really come on here any more so thought I'd help out. I have the intermediate size plate, I remember when I bought the IS there were three sizes that dealers seemed to fit, a standard plate, a large plate (that almost fills the gap) and a medium sized plate (which is the one I have). Not sure on it's exact size but I'll measure it for you and let you know. Here's a pic: Oooops I've just notices he's Banned..... :duh: Your plate looks just about right It'd be much appreciated having the size. :winky: Cheers Dave.
  7. I'm about to order some silver vision indicator bulbs for my 2004 IS300 but have some conflicting information as to the bulb types.... I found a list of bulb types used in the IS on here and that gives the front indicators as being a '582' and the rear indicators as being a '581'. I've then been on Powerbulbs.com where i've always got my car bulbs from in the past and that says that both front and rear are a PY21W bulb. Can someone please confirm which is right so i can get them ordered ready for when i pick the car up next week. Cheers Dave.
  8. Apologies for digging up an old thread but i don't suppose you have a picture of what your custom sized plate looks like on the back have you. I'm wanting to order a set of plates from Demon Plates but wanted to see what the size you ordered looks like when fitted to the back of the car. Cheers Dave.
  9. Hi all, Just a quick favour from anybody who has the larger rear number plate on their IS200 or 300. I'm just about to order my plates to put on the car when i get it and wanted to go for the larger sized rear plate that the IS'2 seem to have rather than a standard size rear plate. Could someone have a measure of theirs and tell me if it's 535mm x 152mm in size. Thanks alot. Cheers Dave.
  10. I'm assuming you haven't read my last post... two above yours!!! Cheers Dave.
  11. Thanks for the link.... Will keep it in mind when i pick my IS up. :winky: Cheers Dave.
  12. I really like that. Good job. Do you have the ebay link? Cheers Dave.
  13. My point entirely. :D When you consider the premium fuel costs around 4p or 5p a litre more and it's a 70 litre tank you would probably be putting, what, 60 litres in on an average fill up??? That's an extra £3 or so per tank where as the Millers style stuff does the same thing but for less than half the cost. As i say i didn't realise Millers had got this new stuff out so will give it a try after i've done a couple of tanks without it on the IS when i get it. :) Cheers Dave.
  14. I'm just going on the fact that without the millers sport 4 in my current car (and others in the owners club) the car does around 460-480 miles to a tank. With the millers sport 4 added the engine seems to run smoother (agreed this could all be in the mind) and more importantly i get approx 500-520 miles from a tank. There have been similar tests on the Briskoda forum which have actually had positive results for this product. Before anybody says anything this wasn't a straight one tank after the other test but was built up over a couple of months and the two comparison tanks were done under very near equal conditions (Only difference would be the weather)..... My drive to work is approx 25 miles each way all motorway except approx a mile at each end. Cruise was used on each journey set to the same speed and there were no traffic issues on any of the journeys (all were clear runs at either 10pm or 6am). Also both tanks were used solely with this journey over and over again, the car wasn't used for other purposes during the periods in question. The stuff in question is only the equivelent of putting super unleaded or diesel in the car rather than normal unleaded or diesel. It just works out cheaper than paying the extra at the pump. It turns out i've answered my own question in the end as upon looking at the Millers website for this post it appears they have just launched a new product for all petrol engines and another for all diesel engines rather than the older product that was designed mainly for the VAG euroIV PD engines. I'll get hold of some and have an experiment with the IS300 when i get her. :winky: I guess the VAG PD engine users are just a lucky bunch. (Myself included as we will still have another Fabia vRS along with the Lexus). Cheers Dave.
  15. So i take it from that, that there's nothing out there that works for these engines then? Cheers Dave.
  16. Hi all, Just another little question i've thought of whilst in the run up to getting my IS300. I currently run a Fabia vRS which has one of the VAG PD diesel engines in it. I've always used a product called 'Millers Sport 4', which is an additive designed specifically for that series of engines, added to each tank of fuel and gives the same sort of results as using the likes of BP Ultimate Diesel etc.... but costs less per tank than the extra price per litre of the Ultimate style fuel. I just wondered if anybody used anything similar or the like in their IS's and had any recommendations as to which products i could look at. Cheers Dave.
  17. Hopefully picking my IS300 up in a couple of weeks..... I'm hoping for a few days like yours myself. :winky: Cheers Dave.
  18. Yeah, I do use the ebay app, which I think is great, but it doesn't do all things like managing your seller account etc. Fair call. :winky: Cheers Dave.
  19. Slightly OT but why not just use the ebay app on your iPhone rather than the site.... It integrates with the Paypal app too. Used it quite a few times when out and about to save missing that elusive ebay bargain. :winky: Uses push to remind you when items are about to end etc.... Cheers Dave.
  20. Just a little bit more than the £47 for the Grom though. Cheers Dave.
  21. Cheers for that..... The connects2 i have is for my Skoda and is for VAG cars. I might just go for the Grom AUX one then as that's what i'm used to at the minute and i'm not bothered about being able to control the iPhone/iPod through the HU etc... Not sure about one's that connect via the dock connector but the AUX one's mean you can connect the cable to the headphone jack on the phone and use it as a handsfree set through the car speakers as well as for listening to music etc.... Cheers Dave.
  22. Yeah Lexus Sheffield have told me it's 10 years 100k on the 300. :) Cheers Dave.
  23. Hi all, Hopefully picking up my IS300 in a week or two and am looking at fitting a Grom unit so as to just use my iPhone 3GS instead of CD's. I can't decide whether to go for the simple AUX version or the the one that plugs into the bottom of the iPhone (Dock version???). I currently have a Connects2 unit in my car that looks to be the same as the AUX version of the Grom. (I select CD Autochanger disc 1 and i hear the iPhone but i can't change tracks via the HU). When using the AUX version how do you select the Grom on the HU in the IS? Is there an AUX button or do you select a certain CD etc....??? Also i've seen mention online of people having issues with the Grom when using it with devices that are running iOS4. Is this still the case and if so does it affect both the AUX and Dock versions or just the dock version? Thanks for any assistance. Cheers Dave.
