Funnily enough i had a look at the ducting on my car on monday,only a light coat of dust inside,the fan itself looked fine,gave them a wipe with a static duster.Got the idea from a recent article in car mechanics which featured a prius,which has a similar arrangement.

As an addition to a similar post on the CT forum i wondered if anyone has fitted these ? I have checked around and prices range form £38-£90 per sensor. OEM pacific sensors are around £60,when mine came off the wheel one was broken at the valve stem and the sensor itself was spinning around inside but still transmitting,the other would not reseal at the valve.I daresay some of these problems were down to previous tyre change as one had been superglued and neither had new service kits on them.It seems in my area these are still alien to tyre bays,on reading the U.S forum many of their fast fit depots seem more clued up on tpms. Many sites recommend shrader or t pro sensors which are slightly cheaper than pacific and seem easier to get service kits for. The biggest issue however seems to be programming,some say lexus only,others toyota can do it,and finally any suitable tyre depot. If anyone has any experience of this i would love to hear it.

Exactly my thoughts,i assumed it would miss the sensors myself.Unless,mad theory time,if the reset button is used with no sensors this would set the baseline to zero, of course you would then rely on your own senses and pressure gauge.

Back from my short break drove about 800 miles around north tip of Scotland including part of route 500.Car performed well averaging 56 mpg,but my tyre warning was on permanently.Perhaps the fact i have 2 sensors still in situ,maybe if you have none no warning is triggered.

Isn`t it always the way yesterday i had my wheels refurbed but on removal of the tyre on one wheel they discovered the TPMS sensor was broken.It appears that it had previously been superglued where the valve stem meets the sensor,of course they dont stock replacements.As i am going on holiday tomorrow i agreed it was easier to replace with a standard valve. On going out this morning i discovered a flat tyre,on a wheel with a TPMS so had the tyre replaced due to puncture,and off i go to get some holiday essentials.Upon returning to car the new tyre is flat .I return to tyre depot the air is leaking from the TPMS valve seal,it wont tighten any further so on goes another standard valve. I am now considering replacing all 4 TPMS sensors i have found a set of T pro ones for £160,precoded,which my depot can fit for about £8 a wheel. Anyone else had this sort of trouble?,any advice on replacement sensors ? Hope any future excitement happens on holiday .

Believe it or not my previous car was a Fiat Panda a diesel at that,which i bought new through a car broker web site. Despite many peoples misgivings it was completely reliable,only needing servicing and tyres,this model was built in Poland,maybe more fastidious than Italian factory. My worst car a Vauxhall Viva 8 years old must have had a different problem every week,non start,electrical issues,rough running.To this day i would never touch another Vauxhall.

Saw McQ years ago not one of the Dukes finest but the Hornet was nice. Quite partial to a Hemi as well

Along with JDM supra or R33 skyline i`m a big us muscle fan,used to own a 90`s Firebird like Kitt,but always wanted the 455 70`s model.

Thanks for all the suggestions,it`s now five days since i`ve polished the car and the hazing is now a lot less visible had a few frosty nights up this way which seems to have helped. I`m sure i will find a suitable new method through trial and error. I think the CT does look good in black so i wont give in to this minor irritation.

Yes left car over lunchbreak,maybe next time i do my double coat i will leave overnight to be certain. After further research it appears black paint makes flaws more obvious,perhaps i should have went for the "cherry red"shade,which i saw for the first time today in Edinburgh on a CT.

Ahh! yes of course poor explanation on my part. It is hazing and polish residue from the top coat of armorall.

After washing my black ct today i applied my usual polish routine,autoglym super resin then 2 hours later armorall sheild. First coat buffed up fine,however the sheild coat was really hard to buff,i can still see marks. I used this method on my previous fiat orange car with no problem. This is the first time i have done my full two coat routine last few times have just been super resin. Have never owned a black car before so wondering if this shows more on this shade i have noticed swirls and scratches are more noticeable. Maybe i`m being too fussy but any thoughts or tips would be appreciated.

Finally found covers,i decided to search van covers as they are usually bigger.Got these from turtlecovers based in wales arrived within 4 days of ordering £37.50 suitable for air bags and heated seats.Also come in plain colours at £34.50,but i have went JDM .These were the universal fit type but they make specific fit for Hi Lux,Land cruiser,Navarra etc. Now considering mud flaps and wind deflectors.

Im sure the fitters at my depot put oil/grease on the seats and steering wheel as part of the service .Seriously though i take my covers off when wearing civvies and on holidays. My previous car had orange seats and without covers they turned black within a month,amazing how minging bus seats get.

Almost 2months into ownership now enjoying it more day by day,averaging 45 mpg.I drive buses for a living and the seats can be grotty,so i am fitting waterproof covers to my car. I had covers on my prevoius car,a Fiat,but these are too small for the Lex,have adjusted them expertly by hacking a hole so they fit over the headrests.Just wondering if anyone could recommend a more aesthetic solution,my own research has thrown up lots of universal types which is what my current covers supposedly are .

Dab reception in my area is generally reliable,however FM is more consistently available,dab still has occasional dead zones even on motorways.I like dab for the exclusive stations such as 4extra and planetrock.

I have become the recent owner of a black 2014 CT200 ,more used to simpler cars,i find the sat nav quite fiddly to set but seems quite accurate route wise.I also found the dab radio very complicated to set having to search each ensemble separately,however once achieved the reception is excellent.Overall i am enjoying the unaccustomed luxury of my new steed.
