  1. I also recommend California Scents they last for months and come in various fragrances. when first opened they can be really strong but the can is adjustable as stated above. I put mine in the passenger door pocket.
  2. The battery went in one of my sensors i found a local mobile tyre fitter who could deal with TPMS.I got him to replace all 4 since i reckoned they must all be getting on a bit.He used Autel sensors and had a hand held reader/programmer to clone the existing sensors.
  3. I used ACF50 on the underside of my car last year it was also easy to use.
  4. I can confirm the seat heaters in the CT work fine, mine take about a minute before you feel the heat coming through.I find about a half turn is enough for me,i tried maximum heat once but found it too hot.
  5. My car has sat nav but it has the most complicated procedure to program destinations.I purchased a Garmin which is simple to use has lifetime free map updates and comes with a windscreen mount and 12v power lead, with the advantage of using in another car if needed. You can buy a permanent power supply which you can fit yourself. I would imagine fitting a Lexus system would be impossible and prohibitively expensive whereas a stand alone unit by Garmin,Tom Tom etc start at under £100.
  6. Lexus Paint Code Locations _ Touch Up Paint _ AutomotiveTouchup.mhtml I'm not too great with links so hope this works. The code is not obvious but at the bottom of the label it says C/TR the first three digits are the colour code C,the next digits are the trim code TR.
  7. I have a CT the paint code is on the passenger door frame, not sure if this is the case on your car.
  8. Pilkington manufacture original fit glass for a number of car makers including Toyota, maybe the only difference is the factory stock is etched with the brand name but replacement has their name.
  9. My car must have had a replacement screen before i got it,all the other windows have Lexus etched on them but the windscreen says Pilkington. All the sensors are attached to the glass and the auto wipers and DAB radio wotk faultlessly.
  10. Congrats on your new car i owned a diesel Panda from new for 8 years it was surprisingly good to drive and was totally reliable only needing servicing and tyres.
  11. I got plugs for my CT from The Green Spark Plug Co at about £8 a unit they arrived the next day which was impressive. The original plugs were Denso but were out of stock, the recommended alternative were NGK which i have found to be excellent with no difference in performance. The job on the CT took me 30 minutes for all 4,despite my local dealer telling me the manifold would need to be removed and was a major job,all i did was remove the plastic cover on top of the engine.
  12. The ct is the lowest riding car i have owned but i have got used to the door issue,on the plus side i don't need my steps while washing the roof of the car.I've always assumed it sits so low for aerodynamics.
  13. I think the UX is the best looking Lexus at the moment the interior looks good too.
  14. I get the benefits of new tech and as Roy above said if you want it and can afford it then go for it,this applies to electronics and mobiles as well as cars.My car is now 6yrs old i have had it for 4,my head has been turned by newer models but she has been reliable is comfy and has only cost me service items and i still like the look of the car which imo has dated well. My missus however puts me to shame she still loves her 2001 Subaru Impreza and wont hear a bad word against it despite it now having some old age problems,it has very little in the way of gadgets on board but she says "More to go wrong more will go wrong".
  15. I must say i prefer Toyota's new style theme to the Lexus gaping maw look, the new Yaris is a funky looking little car,Corolla quite neat, the CHR is pretty sharp, and imo the Camry looks better than the ES.
  16. I have heko deflectors on mine they look like this...
  17. I have had a look this morning and you can open the hatch from inside. After folding the rear sets you can crawl into the rear, remove the rear deck cover and directly under the latch mechanism there is some wiring loom but you can clearly see the mech behind, there is a small silver lever which you push up to release the lock.
  18. My 2014 CT has no mechanical rear lock so as per the above video you can open the front door, pop the bonnet connect a battery or jump lead and open the hatch as normal. I know the prius has a panel that is accessible from inside the car with the back seat down i will check in daylight tomorrow if the ct has one.
  19. I have heko deflectors on my car, they fit into the outer window channel so the door height remains the same.
  20. The tank holds 45 litres, just under 10 gallons in old money.I last filled mine 10 weeks ago, longest time on a tankful ever
  21. I have travelled around 60 miles after the low fuel light came on and ended up with a tank total of 418 miles.when i did fill up there was still about 6 litres in the tank, due to the current hot weather my current mpg is 63.2.
  22. I have a space saver wheel from a prius, have used it once in anger.I secured it with an original hand turned threaded bolt which i found on a scrapped Toyota celica, the thread was identical. As for the storage box i removed it entirely and find you can store items around the spare.
  23. I have Heko deflectors on my CT,i found placing the clips in the side channels worked ,not the top channel.I think i had to widen a couple of the clips with a screwdriver to finagle them a bit.
  24. Had my ct 3 years now, agree with your review, especially the DAB ,took me about an hour to tune preset stations, had one in my previous car took 2 minutes. Agree Lexus Newbridge are a helpful bunch,i'm in the same area so may see you about on your travels.
  25. I have been reading about the new Corolla and wondering if Lexus could move into the compact segment against the A1 and A class. The saloon version looks to me like a mini IS.
