  1. I suffer from the mid-life crisis disease (apparently) of constantly looking at AutoTrader etc and wondering what other cars may be like to own. So, has anyone owned an RCF and a 911, and have any constructive/comparative feedback on the ownership experience? I know reliability/costs can be an issue with the 911, but I've had my RCF for 4 months and I'm just not as attached to it as I was with my ISF, and I quite like the look of a 997 Targa or Convertible in White......save/help me.....
  2. Hi. Please can someone show/tell me how to find the "for sale" section of the forum. I've seen people mention it in the past but I can't seem to find it. Cheers
  3. Is it ok to advertise on here now? I've been thinking the same thing about mine (I can't bring myself to sell my TVR) but I have refrained so far
  4. Not an F? It's got the same engine as the RCF, so isn't it just a badging thing, or am I missing something?
  5. OMG I'm drooling all over my phone: https://m.facebook.com/story.php?story_fbid=3156819734334360&id=436013633081664
  6. RX450h too and then an RCF too I have just seen the pictures of the newly released LC500 convertible (which is an F-car, I think) and I am smitten 😍 - if I start saving my pennies, then I may be able to get a 2nd hand one for my 50th (which is a long way off)
  7. There is a yellow & carbon one for sale on Lexus approved - first one I've seen in that colour
  8. I like everything except the tailfin. I think it's because I like the sleeper nature of the ISF. Have you thought about getting the rear badges dipped in black (it could look gr8 with the other carbon bits)
  9. Must admit I do have a soft spot for the "look at me" Lambo colours like that orange (must be in the genes as my Mum at one time had a bright yellow old skool Mini Clubman and a weird light green Porsche Boxster) but I couldn't get orange past SWMBO (yet)
  10. Thanks all. TVR is old skool - one of the last wedges - a 400SE from 1991 which had a full body off restoration around 10 years ago - I will pop a picture on here when I've taken some - it's an event to drive it (a friend says you feel the exhaust note in your chest if you're following it) but I just don't have the time with 3 kids, a dog and a busy work/home life RCF pick up is next Sunday - F sport blue with black leather (we have white leather in our RX and I'm not sold on it) - also tried a white carbon but not a fan of the two tone/badger looks and the carbon body panels seem to be a magnet for stone chips etc
  11. Evening all. Sold my white ISF last year to a fellow forum member and regretted it fairly quickly - although it looks like I dodged a bullet with regards to an issue with the rear brake pipes (sorry Glen!) After viewing a few cars I've put a deposit down on a gorgeous blue RCF with 20k mileage - pick up is in 2 weeks and already excited! Need to get my backside in gear and sell my TVR to fund the RCF so very much hoping I'm making the right decision.....
  12. Done some more of mine today in preparation for Autotrader advert - love this view
  13. Thanks all for the info. I'm not a Gold Member so it looks like Autotrader is probably the best bet based on responses so far. Just need to figure out what "competitively priced" means - bit hard to judge given there's only 9 ISFs (and only 1 white one) on sale in the whole of the UK Talk about hen's teeth !
  14. Apologies if this breaks any rules but has anyone got any recommendations on how to sell an ISF? I know of the usual routes (part ex, AutoTrader, pistonheads) but is there anywhere else? Can you advertise on this forum/site somehow? Thanks for any advice.
  15. Is it just me, or does anyone else just see a stormtrooper in this photo? 🤔
  16. They have offered the 2 year warranty for £895 for ages. When they say "we're currently offering you 24 months for the price of 12" its just a marketing tactic to make you think you're special and getting a better deal.
  17. 9 months so far and apart from intermediate service all I've had to do is replace one tyre (due to nail puncture) and the battery (but it was the original so had lasted 8 years). Not bad so far but I've just bought the 2 year warranty for peace of mind re: 91k engine and gearbox and not knowing how the previous owners had treated the car.
  18. Recall done today at Lexus Stockport with wash/valet done and £25 of fuel added plus a healthy binge on their tea, biscuits and sweets. Very happy. Given a CT hybrid for the day which is just odd to drive (milk float reactions in eco mode). Also got intermediate service done for £230 and love the health check video they email to you. Decided to go all in and purchase a 2 year warranty and 2 year service plan. Probably won't need to use the former but the F is almost 9 years old and on 91k so you never know, plus includes 2 years AA membership etc
  19. Recall and service rebooked with Lexus Stockport for next week. Did a trip to see a client near Leeds in filthy weather last week so the white ISF is more panda like at the moment. Fingers crossed for a few extras, like valet etc....
  20. I booked with Lexus Stockport around a month ago for recall and service today but they called me yesterday to cancel as the parts hadn't arrived. Anyone else had this and any idea how long the delay might be?
  21. I took that car for a test drive when looking for "the one. Nothing wrong with it - just felt overpriced at the time. That was over 6 months ago and they've knocked a few grand off since then. However I think its been for sale for almost/over a year so they may accept a cheeky offer!
