Many thanks for all the comments and some very interesting points there.  I do agree the new tax rate is a concern.  My RCF has always been purely used for fun driving so more of a Sunday car you could say.  I have only done 600 miles in the car since last January. 

The modifications only added £30 to my insurance so no great concern there.  I have done the usual of trying Carwow, Motorway and talked to Lexus and the lowest offer I have had is £25k from all of these.  From what you are all saying on here, it may well be worth me taking this.

For me it’s a personal decision not financial, that said I still want to get the best price i can for the car.  My 17-year-old daughter passed away unexpectantly 11 weeks ago whilst we were on a family holiday which has changed everything for me, and particularly what is important going forward.  So, I thought I might let the car go and use the money to help my son who has just started his own business.

It’s been a while since I posted on here.  Sadly, it is time for me to part with my beautiful RCF and I wondered if anybody on here could give any guidance with a valuation to sell privately for a fantastic low mileage example.

The car was first registered in Jan 2015 and is finished in Azure Blue metallic with a black interior.  Its only covered 20661 miles, 1 previous owner and with a complete Lexus service history and Lexus warranty (currently until next service due in Jan).  Garaged whenever not in use.

The car has:

• Mark Levinson sound system
• TVD (Torque Vectoring Differential)
• Sunroof
• ACC (Adaptive Cruise Control)
• PCS+ (Pre Collision System) 
• Quicksilver exhaust on the car (fitted by Lexus https://quicksilverexhausts.store/products/rc-f-inc-rc-f-carbon) but I also have the original exhaust.
• RR Racing Intake System

Here is the car the day i px'd it.

Hi James, when i bought the car the car it had the front resprayed but I was told it was cosmetic damage rather than anything serious.  I owned it for 2 years just about and the car was fantastic, drove well but i think the difference in paint became more obvious over time.  It was when i went to a Lexus meet with a number of people on here and parked next to Mark G's Blue ISF that the difference really noticed.  I'm no expert but i suspect that it would probably need a complete respray to get rid of the difference but others may have a better idea of that than me.  Car drove brilliantly, no issues during my ownership, i only changed as the right RCF came up.  I had a custom exhaust fitted on the car to make the V8 stand out a little, no idea if that's still on the car.  The guy that bought it from Lexus Swindon was Jim @wantaisf, are you still on here Jim?  I don't think that Jim kept it very long but not sure why.  Hope that this helps.

Hello @Jimmer579, I owned this car for 2 years.  Bought from Lexus Cheltehnam in May 16 and I px'd it to Lexus Swindon when i bought my RCF.  Was a great car and one owner before me.  It was bought by another member on here from Swindon.

Still here @Flytvr and still got the RCF.  Love the car, just need to use it more.

Very likely I think David.  He then proceeded to try and block me going along the ring road and then at the next roundabout he suggested that we should stop for a chat.  I pulled in at the lay-by and then he just drove off as quick as he could.  Strange guy, normally just get good comments about the car.  🤔

Great write up Dav @Flytvr and good to read.  Just out of curiosity, what was the down side to the QS exhaust you mention?  I have had somebody roll up next to me at a roundabout telling me to "get my f***ing exhaust fixed" 🙄

Sorry to hear that @tomRCFcarbon.  I use a Faraday cage like @NemesisUK but do keep the car in the garage whenever not used.

Guys, just found out that this car is currently on Dealer Auction website.  Whats the history with this car?  Surprised it is going to auction already?

Fantastic car and looks amazing.  Would be keen to know more about your paint correction and coating.  May do this for my RCF 🙂

I would say that i am a mixture of there two.  Always keen to read what is going on but i don't always feel that i have much to contrbute as a new thread as such.  

On that note, I had somebody (or maybe two people) spit at me when driving the RCF the other day.  I say two people as what landed on the drivers door and window couldn't have come from one person.  Hey ho, at least it just washed off 😮.  Thats the first time i have had anything negative happen.

Looks fab guys.  Going to Andorra would be awesome, the mountain roads are amazing albeit completely covered in snow when we have been.
