  1. Could do with a 7th gear to reduce those revs and reduce high rev cabin noise at speeds around the 70mph mark !
  2. Ive got a IS200 Sport '02' and at 3000rpm my speed is about 64mph, i drove a IS300 the other day and at 3000rpm i was doing about 80mph ! By the way clocks show the max speedo limit on the IS200 is 140mph, and the IS300 has 160mph
  3. I test drove a '53' New IS300 Sportcross the other day, and noticed that it didnt have the triple washer jets like on my '02' IS200 sport. It had these rectangle mesh looking things that weren't that impressive! Wots going on ??
  4. I bet that you wash the car when it is parked on a slope, probably nose end facing downhill, thats why the water is collecting in the mirror casings. TRY parking the opposite away around next time ;)
  5. I have the black interior on my IS200 sport and the other day noticed the full leather interior on the limited edition IS, is this the same door trim as on the IS300? If so, i think i personally perfer the escaine door trim, the leather looks too 'plastic' I guess there must be some advantage? Please post them here:
  6. Thinking of buying my next IS with sat-nav. Know nothing about it whatsoever, apparently there is a fuel computer incorporated within it, can somebody tell me more, and also is the extra £2500 worth forking out on. Cheers :D
  7. Hi Anyone pressed the SNOW button and tested their 0 to 60mph time. Just wondering?
  8. I dont think thats there a lot left once its got to 125mph Listen guys we are talking about on a level road here arent we? Cos im sure a robin reliant could reach 100mph down hill too :o
  9. Why not just go for the AUTOART 1/18th scale diecast model IS200, with working steering, opening door, boot & bonnet ? I picked one up the other day in Plat/Ice (its in me piccy to the left sitting on me boot!). Or as you say, you are searching for the kit version??
  10. IMPORTANT ****** DUNLOP SPORT SP9000 ******* The dunlops that came on the IS200 from new are made in japan (look on the sidewall), most aftermarket tyre centres stock the EXACT same tyre (dunlop sport sp9000) but in fact these are made in germany and LOOK CRAP !! The BIG letdown is the rim protector it is FLUSH with the rim therefore kerbing the alloys will happen :yack: I got caught out with this, NEVER AGAIN I shall try and source japanesse ones next time :)
  11. Duncan Has yours the standard stereo set-up? If so, you must have bought the 'costly' lead to do it this way? :)
  12. .......Just had another look at them YEP ! its a perfect match alright !! :) :) :)
  13. And.............................. The best bit :winky: Voice Dialing..... Just say the name of the person you wish to call, and the phone will find it and start dialing. HOW COOL :zee: IS THAT ??
  14. I forget to mention ... B) At Carphone Warehouse, they upgraded me to a Nokia 6310i for £49.99 (less £20 for trade in = £29.99), and if you buy any accessories the same day you get a 10% discount. The Bluetooth car kit is retailed £149.99 less a further 10%, and currently they are doing fitting FREE !!! Dont get bogged down with it muting the radio and coming out the stereo speakers, one you wont be able to get them to do it, and two the nokia speaker is loud enough (an improved speaker over the CARK-98 kit) :winky:
  15. Go BLUETOOTH :D I did..... fitted it myself only 3 wires ! Never going back to a cradle :yack:
  16. I didnt fancy the idea of drilling holes into the dash either, and ive heard of devises on the market that slide down the side of the dash, but to be honest i just didnt fancy the thought of having the cradle on show spoiling the look of the interior. So............. i went BLUETOOTH Upgraded my Nokia to a 6310i all for £29.99 then bought the Nokia Bluetooth car kit CARK-112, with this kit you DONT need a cradle and you can place the mobile anywhere in the car :) I wondered who to trust to fit it, and in the end fitted it myself (piece of P155). It only requires 3 wires to be connected and you are away :D Its fabulisious, works a treat. The fact that i installed it, i was able to do it so that ALL componets are very discreet, if you sat in the car you wouldnt even know it was there (even to the microphone) !
  17. and....................................................................... On manual geared IS's, a LED display showing what gear you are in would be helpful. :) Because this is a VERY (revs only drop between 400 to 500 rpm per gear change) Close-Ratio gearbox, sometimes im unsure whether im in 4th or 6th ? ;)
  18. The Stereo should be more compatable with aftermarket mobile car kits (Bluetooth etc..) to enable a muting facility.
  19. I would like to see the LCD Time display panel, to be linked into the radio so that you would never need to adjust the time, as it would be 'live' via the RDS system. Also a 'date' would be handy too. The TRAFFIC controls for the radio, should have an automatic volume setting, so that if you had the stereo sound turned down, it would only come live when the TRAFFIC annoucment kicked-in and then go quiet when the annoucment was finished. Would like 'one shot' lowering & raising on passenger side electric window. Would like remote control opening of drivers door only, for vulnerable areas when parked. These are just a few thing LEXUS to take into account, but otherwise this is a beautiful and most pleasurable car on the road today. How can they ever improve on the looks of the IS200 when a new model is launched ???? ;)
  20. Mine goes static too.... (as do all plastic bumpers). Carry on as normal but afterwards, wipe the bumper over with a chamios leather or even just your hand. This earthing will remove the static.
  21. Had my IS200 Sport nearly a year and a half now, and have noticed that not only does the paint work 'chip', but so do the alloys! Well... looking in my tin of assorted goodies :winky: i have found that FORDS MOONDUST SILVER Metalic is the absolute perfect match ! :D :) :D :) Mind you, it wont work on the 'shiney' rim surfaces, as this is an almost mirror finish. Hope this helps anyone else who needs to touch-up a few spots. :zee:
  22. When i open my sunroof on the tilt it is fine, when i close it, it shuts but is slightly raised, therefore if i then press the button to make it slide backwards, it encounters some resistance with the roof surround and kind-a 'BANGS' open then proceeds to slide backwards as it should. If i then close it, it shuts but sits slightly lower in the frame. I guess that it needs some sort of lubricating. I have cleaned most visable parts, and have put a rubber lubricating spray on the rubber surround but it soon wears off. Any ideas?
  23. Yes they did ! But i didnt use the back ones as the rear wheels dont make a mess of the car as much as the front one do. :)
  24. Hi :D I have still boxed as NEW, 2 x rear black mud flaps for a IS200, never been used. I would like to swap these for 2 x BRAND NEW front ones. FANXS
