  1. Hi all, Not long now till the event and I need to establish some pretty firm numbers on how many cars and how many people will be attending on the 29th. I'll also be posting this in the events tab so please do not move this post!! Our centre host at Lexus Derby, Alex, has been on the phone today looking to confirm two things; How many vehicles they need to arrange parking for (we will all be given priority parking spaces right in front of the dealership) and How many actual people will be in attendance (i.e. F-drivers, mates of F-Drivers in large red BMW's etc plus any passengers) The last point is because they are wanting to lay on breakfast for us (Woohoo!) and Alex needs to know if anybody has any dietary requirements (Vegetarian, Pescatarian, Caffeine-Free etc) and how much of whatever he needs to order. So, can everybody who is attending on the Saturday (and who will definitely be at Lexus Derby) please respond below and let me know the following things. I need to confirm numbers with Alex ASAP, ideally by the weekend but certainly no later than Monday the 24th PM; Confirm you will be present at Lexus Derby on the morning of the 29th Confirm if it is just your car or if it is not, how many non-forum-member mates (number of cars) will be coming with you (I need a total number of cars) Confirm a total amount of people the above will mean is in your mini-group Confirm if any have any dietary requirements as above If you can please reply to the questions in your post numbered as above (1-4) that would be a great help for me. For example, mine will be; Yes Just 1 car, mine Just 1, me I have no dietary requirements Hope you can all assist and by all means if you know the details for any people who you know will be coming but are not on the forum please let me know below. I need to be as accurate as possible with Alex so we are not causing a parking inconvenience for other Lexus customers and butchering too many innocent pigs in the process! Thanks all!! P.S. This means we may adjust the itinerary slightly with regards to the first stop. TBC so watch this space.
  2. Hey mate, so there is only Toms stuff that comes in the 45 degree weave, all the replica stuff tends to come in standard weave but Novel, Wald, Seibon and loads of other stuff comes in the Twill weave like you’ll see on Pete’s weapon. That might be a safer bet. Take a look and let me know....... single sided too, no point going double unless you get the side skirts. if you’re not wanting to make it too obvious against the red then I have a lexon front splitter that I was going to have fitted to mine but in body colour (it’s CF now but the weave isn’t perfect on one side so I was going to get it painted) I was just gonna get it sprayed my car colour and fitted. May be an option if you’re not having any other CF stuff on the car, just have it sprayed to match your bumper. I’d do you a good deal too! Let me know if you’d be interested as I may go for a CF front splitter off these guys to match my genuine Toms rear diffuser in the same weave. heres the factory image of it, crap quality photo so apologies for that. I can send you some actual photos tomorrow if you are interested;
  3. Hi Rich, what weave would you want and do you want double or single sided stuff. Double only seems worth it on the side skirts if you ask me. Let me know anyway, Dan.
  4. Hi Lee what weave do you want your diffuser in and would you want double sided or single sided weave?
  5. Hey Nick, have you made a decision on what stuff you want yet? Let me know as I’ll be speaking to Shine later this week. Thanks mate, Dan.
  6. Hey Paul, what weave would you want the front lip in, standard, 45 degree or twill? And would you want it double sided or just the standard single sided? Take a look and let me know. Dan.
  7. Hi all, will pick this up with Shine at the end of the week so any more potentials please let me know ASAP.
  8. To weigh in on the "Actuator Mod" debate. Here are my views based on a year of experimentation and observation with various set-ups. On the ISF the flap opens at about 3600RPM with the hose plugged in which Lexus say is when the car comes 'on-cam' (for want of a better description) and therefore demands more airflow. At this point the volume of air available is more important than the temperature of that air which is why the MAF sensor sits in the intake pipe so the ECU can adjust fuelling to suit both the volume and temperature of the intake air. All of the aftermarket intakes on the market bar none (RR racing and the factory intake included) will heat sync as none of them are fully sealed. The aftermarket ones all do not make a sufficient seal against the hot air in the engine bay and the factory one opens a flap into the (hot) engine bay which again , will increase intake air temperature (albeit by a small amount at full speed). That flap on the ISF opens into the engine bay and although there is a duct into the wheel well it is not very free flowing and has no 'push' (RAM) so you are just getting ambient air from the wheel well into the (hot) engine bay which is then sucked into your intake. It's 'hotter than ideal' air. As previously mentioned I am midway through a project to create a fully sealed intake box for the ISF (no RCF and GSF yet) housing a much larger wet cone filter (larger than any current competitors) leading to 83mm ID intake tubing. It will need an ECU map so the MAF can deal with the airflow and will include instructions to increase flow from the wheel well and insulate current intake routing from the front grille. My design will increase the availability and flow of the coolest possible air at all times but given it will be fully sealed it may not be the loudest intake out there..... Apologies to all you boy racers.
  9. My ISF has the following mods; 20mm H&R spacers all round. TEIN H-Tech Springs (front only) - 25mm drop. Takeda Retain Intake. Actuator Mod - Vacuum hose delete and capped so flap is fully open all the time. H&S Cat-back Exhaust. High-level roofline rear spoiler (body colour). Carbon fibre rear bootlid spoiler. Tom's carbon fibre rear diffuser. Novel carbon fibre duct panels. Plasti-dipped front grill. With a Lexon front splitter (carbon fibre but I'm actually going body colour with it..... Controversial!) and Auto-Technic carbon fibre front fog light surrounds ready to go on soon. So, definitely not standard.
  10. Had to get in on the action. Ready and waiting for the 29th!
  11. Ta Pete. I'm assuming that it comes with a free form to start the process of remortgaging your house for the downpayment! 😀
  12. Love it Pete. What a car! Only just noticed the custom leather (seats) too! Can't wait to see it in person on the 29th.
  13. Apologies for the techno-assault at this time of morning. Can anybody name that rear bootlid spoiler or is it actually a replacement boot lid?
  14. Love the new look mate, testament to a great dealer too!
  15. https://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/advert/201808239784531 but you’d get one of these on the drive!
  16. Aston Rapides are coming into budget! Four door Aston fun and they look good in the right colour and with the bigger wheels!
  17. What a fine gathering of beasts..... Nice cars too!! 😀
  18. Absolutely love it mate! The car looks awesome and as you say, the stock suspension ain’t great. Have Tein springs on the front on mine and even they are night and day versus stock. looking forward to seeing the car in person at the Derby dooooooo!
  19. Looks like it’s just a finished gloss weave on both sides instead of just one side.
  20. All good Pete, the guys say that shipping is costly due to parcel size if there is loads but they can generally ship two items for the price of one so even numbers are good if there are less than 10 in total. If you’ve got a contact then even better. lets see how many people want to ‘ruin’ their cars (clearly ‘improve’ is more accurate) and we can make a call.
  21. Hi Paul, i doubt we’ll get a lot of interest as @Flytvr has brainwashed everyone into into thinking that modifying F’s is the devils work 😁 In all seriousness if we get 4 or 6 we can get reduced shipping and maybe 10-15% off.
