id say its an import. 1- on mot status co2 is showing as 0g, this only happens when you register a vehicle on DVLA as PLG (private or light goods) when you dont have a EU type approval certificate of conformity. 2- the advert says 2018 on the model which means this was registered with DVLA at that time, id say Jan 2018 as thats the date of registration on mot status. The way to plate a vehicle is to use a V55 form from the DVLA, I have bought some ex MOD cars before and they never issue me the number plate for them unless I provide them with a valid MOT certificate. This has to be done on the chassis number.

Lexus parts
LS road runner replied to Ac1978's topic in LS 400 / Lexus LS 430 / Lexus LS 460 / Lexus 600h / Lexus 500h Club
get the part number, call a TOYOTA dealer and tell them you need trade discount. Toyota dealers are a lot cheaper than Lexus dealers for the same parts but dont let them find out the parts are going on a Lexus otherwise they cant sell them to you -
Lexus LS430 Build Thread... Mark two...!!
LS road runner replied to Haylands's topic in Lexus Build Threads
I have order a new radiator and the pipes (metal and rubber) to eliminate the problem you have sorted with the gearbox cooler. Radiator (denso) was £50 from states and the pipes £97 from local lexus dealer. Although the cooler is £105 I chose this method because I will get a new radiator out of it and I am doing transmission fluid, new gasket seal and gearbox stainer at the same time. -
I have already done the pads and discs and to begin with I felt a slight wobble however between today and yesterday I have done 600 miles in the car and I can feel them bedding and no more wobble, although I must say toyota/lexus brakes are the worst! German cars brake so swiftly in comparison. Its not just thisLS430 I have experienced this with. We had a RX400h at home and a land cruiser 3.0 2011 and the braking on both was shocking in comparison to a german car. I used genuine rear pads and discs, genuine front pads with mintex front discs. I changed brake fluid and all the fittings are new too (clips and holders) and I am very disappointed. I know its a heavy car but even on new brakes the stopping is worse than my 1987 Toyota corolla. It has been 1000 miles since brakes were fitted so they must have bedded in now and all the fitting is correct (has been checked again). Rant over, moving onto the bushes. I have ordered OE for £40 a pair and my mechanic will fit them for £40. He has the machine to compress the bushes into the arms.

a2z motor spares are very close to me so ill give them a visit. Thanks for this its very helpful. Budget isnt an issue really but I only paid £1650 for the car a year ago and have spent over £2500 now on tyres, brakes, diff oil, gearbox oil/stainer/gasket, ac condensor, new radiator, new gearbox cooling pipe, cambelt and full service with iridium plugs. Its just a case of how far to go but I suppose if i do this it will hopefully be the end of the maintenance (apart from the air suspension common problem lurking around the corner, hopefully doesnt happen for a while

430 or 460?

My choice would be the 400 or 430 all day. This is my personal opinion others may disagree but I dont like the CVT gearbox which youll get in the 460 and you can feel the drive in a 430 where as the newer shape 600h I have feels far too comfortable to actually enjoy driving. There is no feedback from the car or the feel of the road. Excellent if its being used for chauffering but as a drivers car it would have to be the 430. Ive got the full range of LS from the facelift 400 to the 600h (460 shape) mainly id say its the gearbox which sees me get into the 430 everyday. The noise from the V8 is excellent too! -
I wonder if anyone can confirm this. I had a really bad brake judder on my LS430, I have changed all discs/pads and brake fluid. Everything was genuine apart from the front discs which are Mintex. I have done 150 miles since they were fitted and have taken it very easy. I can still feel a very slight vibration. I have put it down to the control arm rubber bushes having too much play in them. Do I buy genuine ones at £100 a piece (bushes only, with trade discount applied) I know they require a lot of pressure to get them in but my mechanic can manage it. Do I buy them from Lexus spares direct for £160 already fitted to the arms or do I buy cheaper ones from ebay. Only thing which puts me off buying the £160 ones is it raises the question is how can they be that price when the bushes alone are more expensive and they claim the bushes to be genuine Lexus.

LS 430

I find the 430 to drive very nice, I dont like the CVT in the 600H and the 460. I have never driven a 460 but I can only imagine its similar to the 600H. LS 400 - 1997 LS 430 - 2002 LS 430 facelift - 2004 LS600H -2007 -

this was purchased at £3800 plus £300 fees. I remember as I was bidding against them and I stopped at £3700. You might be able to get a deal out of them -

Hi James, 430 is not a CVT, the model you are looking at is a 5 speed auto and the facelift is 6 speed. I have a 2002 LS430 and have (today) bought the LS430 facelift along with the current collection of the LS400 and the LS600h My favourite is the LS430.
