  1. Not yet but hopefully soon??? I take it you have the prolex induction kit then??? Jason :P yeh i have the prolex induction kit but might just wait till i get a turbo kit and then get a engine cover Turbo kit wouldn't change to much stuff on the top of the engine will it??? so should still fit after you have a turbo kit fitted, unless you are making a huge engine cover! Jason :P
  2. Just thought i wouls add my two pence to this I have dealt with Toyota GT a fair few times and swear by their work, they are a great group of guys and have always helped me and my bro out when we have needed. My bro's car basically lives at their premisis as its constantly being changed and worked on! When my bro entered TOTB last year the guys drove over 500+ miles to support him and even spent some of the day working on his car and helping him improve his times! @ Yeldarb, my car is booked in at the end of this month for a service and some work on the exhaust So i may see your car there! Hopefully planning on staying there while my car is being done and doing a bit of a diet program on my bro's car! Jason :P
  3. Good Poll Aido! :) I have the Tein Super Streets with Top mounts and EDFC unit, love them to bits usually have them on stiffest setting as i quite like driving the car and feeling all the bumps etc. feels more like a track car, although as i have the EDFC i can put it onto soft if i just want to chill out :P Jason :P

  5. True! Back on topic :P I have always wanted to do a large engine cover that hides most of the stuff under the engine bay, ie wires, engine top but then have several pieces that clip together that continue the engine cover over the exhaust manifold etc.............all in carbon of course! :P Jason :)
  6. If you make another Jason, I have a home for it :D Deal! I have a Spare one so its got your name on it mate! In fact its the same speedo cluster that i bought to create your stainless dials from! Will just need a couple of £ to cover the cost of the clock mechanism. :P Jason :P
  7. I also need one that works with the Prolex induction kit although i don't have the time to make it Jason yours is being made as we speak :winky: Thanks Chris but just the template will be fine if it becomes too much trouble! How's that clock holding up, has the ticking getting to you yet?
  8. Dam it! I quite liked Mersea Island, was planning on bringing the buggy to blitz up and down the beach!
  9. I also need one that works with the Prolex induction kit although i don't have the time to make it
  10. He's defo got it wrong! Like everyone has said he thinks its a 200SX S14A. Jason :P
  11. :tsktsk: thats a lot of money mate :tsktsk: i've seen old subarus go for that price in the past few days :o I know my brother was paying aroung the £1000 mark when he had his and that was tuned :duh: Think im going to keep the IS for a little while longer now! I really had my mind set up on a RA and i knew the insurance would be the deciding factor, and the decision is im keeping the IS for the moment! I have some new toys to sort out anyway, new custom front bumper, new rear triangle brace and new exhaust pieces to sort out. Think i may just keep the IS then go stupid on the buggy, after all the insurance on that with a 1275 tuned engine is only £100 a year! and keep the IS for my daily driver and run it till she blows up! Jason :P
  12. Looks like i might be keeping the Lex! Just got a quote on an Impreza RA, just under £2000!!!!! I have alot more respect for subaru owners now if they are paying that much for insurance. Think im going to stop looking at cars now and just get on with the kitcar and maybe think about changing at a later date!
  13. Your making me think about it now mate Would love an EVO but there such a fussy car to keep running at there best :duh: Same reason im thinking about a Scooby Chris, would also love a evo but like you say well high running costs! Some of the RA's come with a factory fit roll cage :) and have aluminium panels to keep weight down
  14. Just found out that the Type RA does have different Diff Chris, has what they call a Driver Controlled Centre Differential (DCCD) allowing to vary power to front/rear of the car to a degree! Sounds interesting
  15. Been looking at 96-99 models, the do some JDM RA versions in that year, little more money than the normal ones but they are lighter and have the small little roof hatch as well. :P Would love one in white, look well nice. Been looking at prices for parts and they really are quite cheap for mods and standard bits, plus they do some nice carbon bits bonnet, vents, boot, fenders Mate got back to me and im going round there on Thursday to have a look round his one and go for a drive, his aint up for sale but gives me a chance to look at one close up :) The one my brother had was a Pro-Drive version and had a few extras fitted, nice pro-drive recaro seats, exhaust etc? his mate had one at the same time but couldnt touch my brothers on corners or going round islands so not sure if it had different diffs or something else fitted? might be worth keeping an eye out for them too mate? There are a couple of P1's round here in mint condition, one of them sounds like a jet fighter B) One thing i would do mate is, drive quite a few of them if you can and if you get one uprate the suspension bushes :winky: Thanks for the advice Chris, not too sure if my budget can stretch to a P1 but we will see. Think the one i want is the RA, lighter, no stereo, rally roof hatch and i believe they have a different diff and also has no ABS (could get a bit scary) Jason :P

  17. Think there a great motor mate, been looking at them for a while now :) Me to Chris :D but i keep looking at Aristo's too now :o Yeh i know mate, that chap with the black manual one just wont drop his price ;) found a nice black one but its an auto and not sure i can do auto's :D Jason have you thought about an IS300? They seem to be coming down in price at the moment? :) Thought about an IS300 but i think im going to look more into a scooby Chris, going for a drive in a mates next week :D :D :D I think im going to try something new, the lex is only my second car! Who knows i may come back to Lexus at some point but i think for now while im young(ish) and not properly settled down with kids etc i think im going to have a bit of fun! Plus its 4wd so should handle well enough! Jason :P Go for it mate, like you say you only live once and when your my age you can have another lexus or 2 if your a gready git  Not used the red one for ages Got loads of bits for mine that i've got to fit at the moment and going to start fitting some of them in the morning? Just got to pop over to a couple of shops to see if i can pick up a couple of amps :winky: Makes sense i guess to have one as a spare!

  20. Don't like M5's and i don't know what it is but i really don't like Skylines, they all seem the same to me, don't know why???? I have 3 really good friends that all have skylines and they are just not my cup of tea. Who knows i may not actually sell it yet, although a few people have emailed me already about the lex and what i want for it
  21. Ok, been having a proper think about it and i don't think im going to get an Aristo now! Although i would love the extra power i just think that there are better cars for handling out there. Been talking about it with a few mates and im thinking about maybe getting a Subaru Impreza, i know its not a Lexus and i am going to miss the luxury of the IS which the Impreza doesn't come close to. The interior looks terrible in the Impreza but that is a good thing as i can then strip it out and not worry about loosing the refinement! Thinking about maybe getting the RA model that is already been lightened!!!! My only main regret is that if i do get one im going to miss being part of the Lexus Community although i will still hang about Jason :P
  22. I also have the tail light/fog conversion done on mine, never been flashed for it yet Although im defo interested in those extreme hazards!
  23. Insurance isn't a factor in me deciding on the Aristo! My insurance is currently £440 on my IS, got a quote with Sky on a Aristo a year ago when i was 24! came back at £660 fully comp with wheels, tints, exhaust and induction. That was without the 15% discount they now offer! Jason :P
  24. I've got 4 in the shed now - need to figure out which are the best to get put on as my oil seals are on the way and then the other 2 I bought I'm having redone and then they're going on in time for summer :D So in total I've got 6 - 4 ceramic and 2 steel :D Mega! Gready git!
  25. yep, i had dave on the start line telling me what was what, still couldnt work out where the clutch pedal was must admit i really do like them, they are a total wolf in sheeps clothing, all the refinements of a luxury car, but with all the power of a sports car Thats what i like about them is that most people think its a GS I just don't know if i want to sell my car after i have put so much money and effort into it and have to start again, although i will have alot more power Choices, choices :shutit: Jason :P
