  1. My baby has gone. Whoever gets her, know I've treated her very kindly and she's a great car. Thanks for your help all. I'll update on what I decide, but looks like I can get a great deal on a M235i. I'm still in the Lexus fold, I'll just have to buy an F badge for the RX300 🤣
  2. Guess who gave me this deal 🤪 I might actually qualify for a larger discount elsewhere, just waiting to see on that.
  3. I'm going to sleep on it and see. Prices are set to rise, 10% eu tariff potentially and a scheduled January rise by £500 ish aswell. I could hold fire and save a deposit over the next 6 months, but of course the price rise would reduce its effectiveness in lowering my monthly.
  4. I think I've all but secured a very good deal. Incl met paint and a couple of options, £500 down £461 a month 12k per annum 48 months 2.9% apr. My monthly savings on that over my RCF are quite large!
  5. Yeah it is. I don't think there's an issue there really, its probably a mixture of my sensitivity and not using it in manual mode all that often. It will be a great car for someone, I've cared for her well. Just wish I could have got a few more quid considering the quicksilver etc I'll miss her and I shed a few tears earlier (sad I know).
  6. Stick her in gear immediately 😄 I used to love starting her in the multi-storey at work.
  7. I've got the same issue. Will put on ebay for less than those listed and hopefully get something for them.
  8. I've accepted 27k. Spoken to a few dealers, one not interested due covid, one wants it but can't get to 27k, another didn't get back to me. I think the market place is uncertain and in this case, I'm not looking a gift horse in the mouth and take the unexpected 3k positive equity as a bonus. I was in tears after the call, but its the right thing to do. She leaves on Thursday 😭 Now to try and sell the factory exhaust 🙄
  9. Much appreciated 🙏 👍 Definitely gives me food for thought and nearly 3k positive equity.
  10. They've offered 27k as is. At least it leaves me with the factory rear exhaust section.
  11. Thanks for letting me know 🙂 I know roughly what I'm shooting for now. I think 27k for mine as per factory. Given what I spent on the quick silver and upgraded carbon fibre trim i need to recoup some of that aswell, or i will remove and sell on here if anyone is interested. 👍
  12. Thanks for the heads up. Are carbon prices that much stronger? Like I mentioned higher up, one dealer muttered the figure £22300 ish 😫
  13. I'm lucky as I can use the RX300 and not rush into buying. I'll wait for the right deal on the right car. I'm not happy selling this for peanuts though, difficult call given my work environment being so volatile.
  14. Flaming Covid 🙄 Shopping around certainly is eye opening, a Corolla 30k? Crazy times.
  15. It is a niche car, how many people are looking to buy a Lexus F, never mind the arguably less popular RCF? But you are right, private sale would definitely be the way to go. I haven't even asked lexus Nottingham, we are all well aware of the other black one they have in stock 😅 We shall see what Harrogate say tomorrow. But given my HP, warranty, service and soon to be insurance payments, I could do with sorting something before I'm possibly furloughed.
  16. It did, but I hoped I'd be offered more by the dealer 😄 At least its not negative equity. But being bid 22k by other dealers i find quite distasteful. The car is worth 10k more 🤬 I've kind of set my heart on the Fk8 Type R, (best performance compromise) but will probably end up with something much cheaper.
  17. I've just contacted GC in Harrogate, thanks for the heads up. I had a cracking deal lined up on a 370z, until I realised, I don't fit in it properly and I can't fit my work luggage in 😄
  18. Well I contacted the local dealer who helped sell my brothers car, he's offered to clear my finance, so just over £24k. I guess at least I'm not in negative equity, but shows where other dealers will be on a part-ex!
  19. Just got the settlement figure. Much less than I thought. 🙂 Might actually be in positive equity.
  20. Unfortunately not practical enough for my commute. Cracking car obviously 👍
  21. No need for a 5 door, I just need to bring down my cost of motoring, but hopefully still have some sort of fun at the same time.
  22. I must admit I've personally not had the front tyres skip on full lock. I'm very familiar with this too as my Alfa was a pain with it. I'm running pilot sport 4's.
  23. I've had a 640d gran coupe in the past, nuclear bomb of an engine, but other than that, I wasn't completely sold. So I have ventured down that road. I'm not a fan of BMW interiors particularly either. A TT would fall into my price point aswell. I test drove an S5 before I purchased my Alfa and although a very smart car, it just didn't engage me like the Alfa did. I prefer Japanese cars in general, I'm a sucker for reliability. A leased S60 T5 r design plus is good value all rounder, with strong performance. Terrible fuel economy though, my V8 does better! This deal would save me upto £500 a month, when taking into account tax and insurance etc I will know more tomorrow after my phone call I guess 🙂
