  1. Good news re the Lexus response, that is what I'd expect from them. Thankfully living up to expectations on that front 👍
  2. I'm not aware of an FWD warning. No idea what that is. And that message does sound too long to me too. It wouldn't fit in the central multi info screen. Intrigued to know what the problem is. Also, why didn't the AA recover the vehicle there and then? It should have been taken directly to the nearest Lexus dealer for you, and Lexus should be providing a courtesy car. There are all sorts of benefits to the Lexus Breakdown Cover...
  3. Just unlucky, I'm certain! Once they fix this issue, that'll be it I'm quite sure.
  4. Very bad luck indeed. There's an exception to every rule. Suffice to say, the NX is THE most reliable car you can buy in some reports and Lexus the most reliable manufacturer. Hope you get it sorted quickly. Oh, is there any chance you could correct your last but one paragraph, as I'd love to know what was wrong, but I think the predictive texting got a little confused! 😉
  5. Thanks for that, it helps when advising others. Must say in typical Apple fashion, makes it look quite confusing, like you have to be part of the family to use your connection ☺️
  6. Phil, for clarity, does iPhone call it Bluetooth Tethering or just "Personal Hotspot", ie is the difference between a Bluetooth hotspot and a WiFi hotspot obvious on the phone?
  7. Guys, have just found that you don't need to enable a WiFi hotspot on your phone if you have a Bluetooth connection that you can also setup tethering on. On my Samsung Galaxy S8, there is a setting called Bluetooth Tethering, which has to be set ON to allow Bluetooth connected devices to use the Bluetooth connection for internet access. When I switch this on and disable my phone's WiFi hotspot, the Lexus uses the Bluetooth to fetch Streetview, fuel prices, traffic info, etc.... I've been vocally complaining that the car has to have two connections Bluetooth and WiFi, and it doesn't. I just needed to enable Bluetooth Tethering on my phone. I imagine most other high end phones will have this setting too, not sure what iPhones do....

  9. Hi Tony, I don't think you're doing anything wrong by the sound of it. My connection to my phone's hotspot drops out occasionally but then reconnects almost straightaway. It's irritating (as I've said before) that the car can't use the Bluetooth connection for everything-internet instead of needing 2 connections active simultaneously.
  10. I have to say that I find Auto High Beam one of the most impressive, not to say useful technological advances of recent vehicles. Now that I have Adaptive High Beam on the NX, I can essentially have high beam on all the time without having to dip. I though also wish it activated earlier than 36mph. And, Herbie, it was a pre requisite for my car choice...
  11. Hi Ryan, my car's not yet 3 months old and I'm glad to say no such experience yet. If that changes I'll certainly be on here to let you know. Good luck with a fix, please let us know what happens.
  12. No problem in my new 2019 NX, so far anyway. I agree with the above suggestions.
