  1. Undoubtedly spot on. Looks need to be kept for the next gen, perhaps even crisper, but the drivetrain needs a nice more-performance, better-economy improvement as per RAV4. I have no doubt this is exactly what it will get! 🙂
  2. Thanks - I need to check for this, though I did look before and couldn't find anything I thought was "P"-related! 😊 - which I had thought was odd at the time!
  3. Having said that, if I'm wrong, do please let me know! 🤔
  4. It's really irritating - you can switch off the "Assist" part, so it doesn't brake for you but the sensors still insist on trying to assist you! And the warning message comes back 10 seconds after you "acknowledge it". 😡
  5. My car's in at this very moment having 4 sensors replaced.... will see...
  6. Seriously?! In the metal bodywork!? I wouldn't be happy... 😱
  7. Great to discuss these things. Will do and I'll be back in touch 👍
  8. I hear what you say! I just can't help feeling that heavy water pressure is involved in some way, it's really the only explanation. Bearing in mind, I went from having no issues to having 3 sensors all misbehaving simultaneously... Just doesn't make sense...
  9. Will certainly keep you updated on how things go. 👍
  10. It's making me think... I recently (and I mean at the last wash a week ago) applied a few sprays of Autoglym Ceramic Coating to the car.... first time I've used it... Surely it can't have been that!? I'm currently in South West Wales experiencing some dreadful weather and each time I go out, I now have front left, left centre and right centre sensors going nuts... detecting things that aren't there and generally causing a complete nuisance of themselves. I've had to turn off the auto-braking lest it should try braking me with a false positive - I've had "BRAKE" appear a few times already 😩 Unfortunately I don't have a silicon spray with me but when I get home (also Wales before anyone says anything!) I'll be drying the sensors and giving it a try. I have to say that I can totally see that if water gets round those little rubber ring seals, it probably would cause a problem and I imagine silicon or Vaseline might stop that, as long as you're not locking any water inside.
  11. Sorry, Malcolm can you clarify please "Vaseline fix"? This problem has occurred on my 2019 NX the last two days, and it's driving me mental, seemed to start when the car got splashed with dirty water by a passing lorry in rain, now it won't go away (just for a few minutes at a time) and if it wasn't for the great big amber warning light that you can't get rid of, it wouldn't be so bad!! Any of you other guys found a permanent fix for this yet?? My dealer is 65 miles away and the last thing I want is repetitive visits to get it sorted...
  12. I would think that was highly likely at 111mph+ !!! I don't think anyone in the UK will be able to confirm the figures though as the speed limit here is 70mph... The NX is approx. 2 tons in weight without cargo, so takes a lot to lump it around - at very high speeds like that, there'll be barely any electric motor involvement. Very high speeds are not conducive to good mpg.
  13. Really!? You see that many?? I see another NX every blue moon where I live.
  14. Ha ha, you really thought main beam assistance was just switching main beam on and off, didn't you!? 😁😀😁
  15. Nope, never recognises a thing I ask it to do, so now I never do. Mine's a 2019!
  16. Old thread maybe, but still something I couldn't resolve, so will be trying again. Thanks for this 👍👍👍
  17. I have downloaded the file again and unzipped it, sizes were all the same. I'll try again with a new Usb, just in case. Cheers
  18. Thanks 🙂 I've looked at the version a number of times. It always says 943. Difficult to say if the unit is seeing the update files because when I insert the USB it thinks for a few seconds and then proclaims it can't authenticate. 🤔 Do you think it's because I didn't delete those other 2 files in the FMU folder? Update: No, it's not that - just retried without the 2 extra txt files. Have also tried with and without an internet connection. Still no authentication. Don't get it
  19. Thought I'd update my maps today. Oddly my navdb_version shows "943" not 2019 V1 or anything. It's a 2018 F-Sport. Anyway when I plug in the USB stick to get the Request Code, it says "Could not be authenticated." rather than providing a Request Code. Any ideas? I don't think I can progress unless I get the Req Code.
