  1. Your ‘complete loathing, is bang on! we have the top end of vehicles but no spare. A vehicle that has no mechanical link between the pedal and master, nothing driven of the bottom pulley and I can go on. Sign of the times mate weight!. I have heard AA etc now bring out a ‘wheel’ to get you home. I’m nearly 70 now. Remember changing 10 wheel stud 10x20 wheels on lorries on the O/s of the motorway and no Lane closure. Bloody scary. But that’s history just like me. Oh what a marvellous car we own now. It starts, isn’t damp, very different to my 1200 MK1 45bhp Cortina. excuse my ramblings. I told Mincey off about that, now I’m doing the same.
  2. I can understand that now. So infuriating that Lexus cannot supply the whole package of spare etc as in USA. I have come to the conclusion, if I get a bad puncture. I’m going to call the AA . Lazy, I now, but I don’t relish, at the roadside jacking the bugger up etc. Looking forward to hear about your new tray.
  3. I wonder if it would be possible just to cut down the existing tray to fit?
  4. This option is available on Premium PACK. Very confusing these ‘have and not have’ specifications.
  5. Mate get a life. Betsy is a car, not a dog. It does not understand your ramblings. De - icer is inexpensive. You really do not have to make your own, as you have just bought such an expensive car. Should have gone for the Premium. Front screen defrost as standard. Merry Christmas.
  6. I had a Nextbase front and rear dashcam dealer fitted to my 2021 ES on purchase in March. I had been concerned about DAB reception. Well, within one mile out from the dealer, no reception! I had no problems on previous 19 plate. Device removed by dealer. Now no problems. Be warned.
  7. Thank you, I will look into that. Hope you enjoy your new ES. Colin
  8. Many thanks Nemesis - found button, reset and key fob now okay. Not sure why that happened as I haven’t been in glove box recently. Have now booked car in at Lexus to sort out sluggish boot opening action.
  9. The boot lid used to open quickly and fully, now it’s sluggish and has a mind of its own by only partially opening. Looking at the mechanism am I correct in saying the the gas strut is for opening and the torsion rods are for damper affect when closing. Also I cannot open boot from key fob, I’ve tried both keys. Most probably gas strut problem but Lexus want it for a whole day to diagnose the fault then order the parts. It seems very long winded considering I’ve been a Motor engineer for 50+ years. Also any advice on purchasing a space saver wheel? Thanks.
  10. Hi Dr - I think you are probably correct, but it seemed to work previously with seat unoccupied. Hi Zotto - Yes, previously I had it in eco mode now I use both modes. It makes no difference. Thanks both.
  11. Thanks for your reply. I have always used same key and not knowingly programmed it. I have only set seat, mirrors etc for self & wife at time of delivery. Can’t understand why it used to work but doesn’t hold the settings now. Regards
  12. Help. I have owned ES since March 19 and dealer set heating temp from drivers side to operate in tandem to passenger side, when driver is is sole occupier This worked well until recently. Now the temp display will only come up on driver’s side. Dealer recommended the following: S-Flow, dual and auto off. This allows me to operated the heating in tandem from driver’s side which is successful for about 24 hrs. It then reverts to showing temp on drivers side. I then go into climate screen and it will show dual and S-flow on! I can’t understand why it worked ok for months and now won't. Can anyone help. Thank you.
