    James I wish you well with your choice. I personally love the azure blue with a light interior. Sadly that isn’t available on the ES P/P. So deep blue and cream interior for me again in March 24.

    I understand that there are so many polishes to choose from. I have tried various products, but Autosmart Luxury wax polish has come out the best for me. Effortless to apply and remove. Gives a glass like shine. About £12 for 500ml. I was recommended this product by classic car restorer. He said if it is good enough for Romans in Banstead Surrey. ( They have multi million pounds of very, very top end vehicles stock for sale). It will be good enough for you Lexus!

    A great response from members to put your settings back to your preference, before it had a service. Why oh why?doesn’t the technician return settings to the customers original setting! When my is serviced, all the settings have been changed? Infuriating is not the word. It will not happen again. They will be instructed to return them to MY preference.

    Totally agree with all the previous threads. Please avoid the 220D. Your pocket would greatly appreciate such a decision.

    Sorry Steve, but there is now way I would have paid 32k and then go to repair it to an acceptable standard.

    Let the dealership deal with the adjustment, especially as this a 23 plate.

    It is to do with the Data Communication Module which affects Emergency call back, location data etc. Seems to be 22 on, but could be by individual build batches.

    Had the recent recall done on Tuesday. Took about 2hrs. On return all of my settings, audio, climate, display screens etc.had changed. Deep grief for a technophobe like me. Managed to reset a few, but others didn’t want to play. Took back to dealership. They eventually reset them. Took there time mind. Yes I am an old git but ye gods the amount of scrolling and back and forwards is well beyond me. Unfortunately my 15 year grandson is on holiday!

    Well Ashan, you certainly have had a lot of experienced replies to your pending purchase of an IS. One thing I don’t personally understand ( As an automotive engineer) is why you would contemplate changing the wheel size? Leave the build specifications to those who know best.

    The Advance IS has all the whistles and bells as standard albeit without ML, this my opinion. The F Sport has a very harsh ride. As I have said previously I would have an IS tomorrow, if had the same refinement as my ES Premium pack. Good luck choosing your iS. You will not be disappointed.

    My 19 and 21 plate ES with premium pack did not attract the extra VED. But the 22 did! Even so it was under the 40k after discount.

    Are these gauges oxy / acetylene on a welding set? If they are, and you have no experience on using them, please read all the relevant safety instructions on how to use/ adjust pressure. Extremely dangerous kit if you have no experience. NB. 1 bar is 14.7 Pounds per square inch. Please be careful.

    Same here for MY 22. Any idea how long the process takes? Tried ringing my local dealership, as normal they don’t pickup the phone!

    Agreed! And also the annoying feature of the distance bars always seem to revert back to three.

    Confused, on the “Two remote keys being supplied” I have always had two remotes supplied, on 4 Lexus cars.

    So sorry Banji that your Lexus has been stolen. I totally agree with Steve about Lexus not coming up with a solution to this problem, which I have previously discussed on the ES forum. I explained this situation to my ex pat technician working for Lexus dealership in the USA only yesterday. They do not appear to have that problem there? it takes me back to the Accord having a ferocious appetite for brake pads. They were taken to court in the US and told to compensate all Accord owners costs. Bet it won’t happen here then. Disgraceful.!

    Driving tip, make sure you are are driving near to the kerb, don’t drift to the centre of the road. Extra caution at roundabouts and of fuel stations exits etc. Have a great safe holiday all the best.

    My ES has done 4200 miles and the fuel consumption mirrors the previous threads. I’m quite amazed how good it is. Heavy and 2.5litres. The Atkinson cycle engine is so efficient when coupled to the hybrid system. At 70 mph, if you switch to sports mode, the rev counter barely shows 1200rpm! Amazing. So much different to to my old 2009 auto petrol Accord. 25mpg around town and maybe 40 on a run.

    So glad you are not getting a Range Rover! Horrid, cash cow of a vehicle. You certainly had a bad run of car thefts. Why not have a look at the the Yaris? Hope all goes well for in the future.
