I won it on eBay for a song and its a bit of a dog on the bodywork, though it runs great. 70k 20+ years old. Was sitting on a farm for gawd knows how long and stunk like crap :P Always fancied one as a kid and it looks soooo 70's. 300 bhp cruiser, nice little project. I'll dig out some pics.

Yep, whats the point of a car turning into a robot or running around like a dog.. who would buy a car based on that. Cracked me up when I saw the look on that guys face when the TVR shot through that little town.

Some kids l left something in the road which I drove over. Result was one bent 22" rim that would be unsafe to rebend into shape due to a hairline crack and a new tyre required. Cost is around £800 is replace. Would I be able to claim this? Im with Elephant and have protected no claims. Or is there a better story I could tell them.

Sound good you got any pictures? Hardly ever see any soarers over here. My parents next door neighbours got one but he keeps it locked up all the time, think I've only seen it twice.

TBH I dont think whatever you do your going to get an sc to drive comparable to an sl roadster. The sc is really a fat grand tourer.

The only shocks worth getting are the Tein CS coilovers http://www.tein.com/csdamp.html They are expensive however. The Daizen sway bars are also meant to be good. http://www.daizensporttuning.com/products/swaybar.html Was you going to lower the car as well? 20" rims and a set of Teins would look the dogs danglies :P

ASFAIK it has no effect on the sat nav. I think sat nav works purely on satellite information form the sky. ie the satellites monitor the car not its wheels. I dont have any probs , but then I dont use my sat nav much anyway. But it would sound stoopid if wheel size made any difference.. ie think about portable sat nav systems that you can carry from car to car on even use on foot. If you use lower profile tyres then your speedo wont be out by much. I'd go with 20" as it does look nice. Anyway you will knock up less mileage when you come to resell it

If you look at clublexus for gas mileage, theres alot of threads and alot of them also have aftermarket exhausts. I think 90% of all sc430's are sold in Florida and California. Will give you a better idea if its worth changing back. http://www.clublexus.com/forums/search.php?searchid=133107 Im in Sutton which is south London. I read somewhere that a full exhaust from Lexus was around £1500+. So I dont think you would be saving money on fuel costs if you have to spend that much. Anyway Id rather have a fat exhaust :0)

What exhaust is on it. Blitz, Toms or TTE? Have you got the original exhaust.. if not I might be interested in swapping mine for yours. Ive no idea what mpg I get TBH I hardly use my SC, Ill have alook on my car see what it says. Anyway if your interested in my exhaust its only done 7k. My SC430 the most economical car I own, got a Range Rover 4.6 and just bought a V12 5.3 Jag :duh:

You can fit them on my SC430 if you want, but ive got 20" wheels.

Ive not heard of any after market windbreaks available. Might be worth asking over at.. Club Lexus As theres alot more sc430 owners there.

Thanks, good info. Ive been thinking of getting a tracker but this seems just as good if not better + cheaper. Anyone know how long it takes for the Clifford to kick in? The Autowatch takes 60 seconds.. you would barely get out of a large car park in that time.
