  1. Thanks, I find the ride is a fair bit firmer with the Tein coilovers, the car feels much more balanced does not wobble around so much. The original shocks/springs are very soft and makes the car bounce around. I only dropped the car about 15-20mm, I would love to go lower but the Wald kit is very low on the front and Iam scrapping abit on speed bumps, coming up me drive. Ive also got some Daizen sway bars on order and together with the Teins that should make the handle much more like a sports car should. "I find small pot holes do crash the suspension a bit..." Are you running runflats? I would not say the ride is crashy at all, even before the Teins with just the 20" normal tires. Infact I have said to the missies that its a smoother ride then our Range Rover.
  2. I really like this pic. my pics tend to come out pretty crappy. I'll post it here before I lose it B)
  3. Seems like months since anythings moved here :( so I will post something I got my Tein CS coilovers fitted just before xmas at TDI, thanks did a great job.
  4. TBH your right its not a practical single car, if I had to have only one car it would be a transit van so I could just chuck stuff in it. I often get asked how I keep mine so clean, I say thats easy I dont use it.. it sits in the garage :) Good luck with your search.
  5. Theres one being broken here http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/LEXUS-SC-430-CONVERT...1QQcmdZViewItem
  6. Was just speaking about this toy and i remember i had the one that lighter flints were put in the exhausts and they sparked does anyone remember these??? RIP was it this one.. I had one of those
  7. I think that was the best toy I had as a kid and then probs scalextrics .. RIP
  8. I took my SC on the ferry 4 times in the summer and I was surprised the alarm never went off. The car was basically bouncing up and down all the way and plenty of other car alarms where going off. Mines a 2002 maybe it has a crappy alarm.
  9. TBH the SC has a huge boot. Much bigger then a BMW 3 series (that was my last car) Its just when you have the roof in then yes its small. But Ive still can get a weeks shopping in with the roof down.. me and the missies dont eat much :D Theres very few convertibles you can fit an adult in the back comfortably Just have to watch out you dont get caught
  10. Ive got the check engine light come up can anyone recommend a suitable inexpensive ODBII reader for 2002 SC430 in the UK. I want to see what the error is before going to the dealer. Thanks.
  11. When you go for an mot, go in the summer with the lid/windows down :D I really like green on black, think I will get my done green soon (not the front though) :P
  12. Nice! hope im not too late :D Sold thankyou Can you fit it as well.. dont mind paying fitting charge.
  13. Ian was you going from run flats to those 19".. if so I bet the ride is much nicer now.
  14. Your the first person Ive seen who likes the OEM wheels :winky: Funnily I used to like the AMG wheels that are similiar even bought some for a Merc I had a while back. I guess its the shape of the sc that makes then look wrong ie more rounded car all over rather then the straight lines on the Merc c36 and c43.
  15. Worth a try if you can find some Connolly's Leather food. They gone under now but its really good stuff. Connolly used to produce all the leather for Brirish cars like Jags etc. http://www.saddler.co.uk/acatalog/Connolly...or_Leather.html http://www.autogeek.net/cohica1.html
  16. Ok thats great thanks, btw is an SC430 so dosent come with a spare.
  17. 10 years ago I probs had a Ford Granda or Astra Van.. the Granada I paid £50 quid for and the Astra nothing.. neither had tax or mot. Thats probs about the same time I lost my license 20 years ago I would have been 12
  18. Hi, I remember as a kid borrowing a spare wheel from my dad to get an MOT. I cant remember if it was actually required or if I just thought it was. Anyone know? Thanks
