  1. :D I put some on my sidesteps on me rangie and nearly fell off climbing out. I usually just dress the tires once a fortnight, I think they look better after a couple of days when the shines died down a bit.
  2. Maguiars Endurance High Gloss Tyre Gel is good you rub it on with a cloth, I always find the spray ones leave mucky spray blobs on the alloys.
  3. Ive just ordered a Wald body kit for my SC430. Speaking to MercedesPerformance today they said the kits are to go up by 15% after Christmas. If you've been thinking about getting one you can still get them at the lower price if you order before Christmas Dont allow linking...........THERE IS NO PROOF THE KITS will be going up in price, ive emailed WALD direct., and they said they have no intention of increasing Body styling kit prices
  4. I remember once I got a VIP tickets to a secret Satch gig in Camden underworld. It was only about 50-60 ppl there and mainly press. That was really cool I was like about 3 feet away from Satch and Stu Hamm playing on the stage and then afterwards they where just hanging around the bar... it was even free drinks lol
  5. lol sorry. My first job when I left school was as an apprentise guitar luthier working for Andys in Denmark Street. I use to earn £40 a week and it cost me £22 a week in travel fares getting there lol I used to get bored stuck in the workshop so used to sneak out into the shop area that was cool cos I was like 16 and got to meet all these famous dudes like Satch, Angus Young, Slash, and I even sold Malmsteen a pre-cbs strat. Its on one of these metal videos, Hard and Heavy volume somthing.
  6. Cheers Stuart! Ive got the 10th anniversary Jem number 024 and the 90th anniversary model. One day they will be worth a fair bit of mullah I got the signed certificates and cases as well.
  7. Im not really pulling much power so its all running of the standard mains, the rest of the music gear in the top half of the rack is all low voltage stuff. I racked it all up really for safety reasons, having all the gear locked up stops the cat jumping inside the cases lol Yer, im a failed rock musician lol got loads of gear over the years but couldnt make a living at the music stuff.. lucky for me I managed to exploit the internet instead. My work stuff (computer stuff) is all pretty much automated so I can spend my days playing music. I bought my quad kvm about 8 months ago and back then that quad adder DVI one wasent available. Still im very happy with the screen quality on my current setup. B4 I got that switch I was worried quality would suffer running the old d-sub connections.. but its been good. Those switches are a stupid price, I ummed and rrr'd for months about getting one. I mean theres bugger all inside.
  8. I dont like to run software firewalls or adware detection as I find they slow my machines down to much. Plus their a nuisance as they block legitimate cookies and IMOH these products as just as much spyware as spyware is. I use a hardware firewall on my router and manually clean my windows pc's. Best thing to do is not use internet explorer or outlook. Best still run Linux instead :D
  9. I couldnt list everything ive got, I used to own a computer shop couple of years back. Then I went full time working on the internet which is why I have this rig at home. Allows me to control at lot of computers and run multiple operating systems at the same time. Although I spent a fortune on kit it allowed me to get rid of all my staff as everything is controllable by a single mouse. I know that dont sound good for the guys that where working for me but I ended going down this route after my business partner ripped me off.
  10. She has this funny habbit, if your looking at somthing she will move in front of it. Makes it very annoying if your trying to watch the telly. Even if im washing the car, she knows im looking at the car so she will go and sit inside :)
  11. Ive got a couple of computers My rig @ home.. In the bottom of that rack above the APC ive got.. PC 1. Dual 3Ghz Xeon overclocked @ 3.6Ghz AGP - Radeon 9600 XT 256mb PCI - Radeon 9200 SE 128mb PC 2. Dual 2.8Ghz Xeon overclocked @3.2Ghz AGP - Radeon 9000 128mb PCI - Radeon 9200 SE 128mb PC 3. (the gaming rig) P4 800FSB 3.0Ghz overclocked @ 3.6Ghz AGP - Radeon X800 PRO 256mb PCI - Radeon 9200 SE 128mb PC 4. Dual P3 500 PCI - Quad Appian Pro The KVM Switch... All the PC's run into the quad switch. SmartView Multi Video SVMS4-Quad. http://kvmswitchdirect.co.uk/SmartView_Multi.htm Which allows which allows me to control everything from a single setup and switch computers from the mouse. Downside is there are no DVI Quad KVM's out there. So everything had to be converted to 15 pin. The Quad Then Ive got three Dell laptops Latitude D600's and an XDA for when im on the move.
  12. Ive got 20" with 255/35/20 on my Lexus and 22" with 285/35/22 on my Range Rover. You do feel it more so in the Range Rover no doubt cos' the car weighs as much as a tank!
  13. I bought one on ebay, was ok looked better then the cheap plastic thing on the car. Genuine? umm dont know.
  14. 30, at 22 I was on a 6 month ban for drivin' a beat up old Granada I bought for 50 quid with no tax or test
  15. Ive got the Telewest 2mb, does that go up as well? I dont seem to get any of these emails.. I do get junk by snail but I dont open it.
  16. Im going to get the Wald kit fitted in the next couple of months. But ive heard that you cant drop the car as much with the Wald kit. What would be the best springs to fit with that kit? My wheels are 255/35/20. I really dont want any rubbing and dont wanna be taking my oil sump off on road humps. TDI have... Lowering spring kit: Reduces height of vehicle by approximately 25mm, and has been developed for use with the standard shock absorbers. TUV approved. £225.00. http://www.tdi-plc.com/sc430.html And on eBay I can get Tein springs.. :: Body: UZZ40 :: Spring Rate Front: 5.6/313 (gf/mm, lbs/in) :: Spring Rate Rear: 5.3/296 (gf/mm, lbs/in) :: Ride Height Front: -32 (mm), -1.3 (inch) :: Ride Height Rear: -41 (mm), -1.6 (inch) http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAP...item=7936952482 Most lowered sc430 seem to have the Tein springs, but the drop on those seems to be quite alot.

    Sc430

Just to add... If your thinking " I dont need Sat Nav as I dont use it" Then you should still get one thats been converted because it will kill the resale value of the car and from what ive seen dealers dont charge much more for one thats been converted.

    Sc430

I bought a Jap SC430 few months ago. I did test drive a UK one at my local dealers. Black with Saddle hide and 4,000 miles on the clock also came with 20" alloys and Sat Nav and Television converted to UK. If you go for a JDM make sure they have changed the sat nav as Ive heard people quoted a couple of grand to change it over. The monitors in the JDM is NTSC so you have to convert the signal. Jap ones tend to be cheaper and lower milleage. I got mini disk instead of tape, which is good as I dont have any tapes. Front and rear parking sensors, think UK ones only have rear sensors. As they had put a standard UK TV tuner in it was quite easy for me to add a 6 disk DVD/MP3 changer and also a line in for my Ipod.. but I can get over a 1000 MP3's on a DVD anyway. I dont get the service menu on my car. As far as I can remember you can pull up on the screen things like oil change, tyre pressure things like that. The main reason I bought this one was the low milleage and it had 20" wheels.
  20. Well I never thought I'd say this but " Thank *** for Ikea Furniture! " yep its crap furniture but I found a cheap & nasty 3" long spanner that came with a chest of draws I bought couple of years back... funny thing is the chest of draws fell apart after 6 months. But the spanner still works! :winky:
  21. Im having problems removing the two 10mm bolts under the headunit/radio. What tool did you use? Ive got a couple of 10mm spanners and there both too bulky to get under the radio and ive got a socket wrench but theres not enough access to the bolt to get the bloody thing on. went down to Halfords and B&Q this morning and could'nt find anything suitable. All I can think of doing is cutting one of my spanners in half so I can get it under the radio. What did you use?
  22. There was a UK Toms Dealer website and i've lost the url anyone know the site I mean.
  23. Its an after market tuner fitted, from what I can tell just conected straight to the monitor because the sat nav is on a seperate channel to the TV. It shouldnt be a hard job to connect up a tuner and use an input from the tuner for an mp3 player.. You can pick up a tv tuner from about £100. Im not too sure how easy its going to be to connect it up to the Lexus monitor, but if you goto a decent car audio shop you should be able to get a tuner and them to install it at the same time. I havent physically found my tuner yet (I think its hidden under the dash) but ive the manual for it and its just a standard tv tuner. http://www.cardvd.co.uk have them from £139
