  1. Hi guys, I have a new Chrome Trunk Trim, (See Pic) and Chrome Exhaust Trim. How can I turn them gold? I already have gold badges. Can I do it myself using some kind of kit? I don't mind sending them off to a company via post and then recieving them back a few days later. Anyone done this? Thanks PS I have the gold badge set for an IS300, so need a 200 badge to replace the 300, but in gold. If anyone has the "200" bit from Lexus badges in gold that would be interested in a swap for the "300" or cash. Send me a PM.
  2. I was told that the IS200 Engine is good for 200,000 Miles plus!! :D Not sure about the rest of the car however.
  3. Thanks Mate! GOT IT :) :) :) Will give them a ring tommorow!
  4. £550 sounds more like it!! Do you have their number/address mate?
  5. Yeah mate! I couldn't believe it! I also managed to pop down to another garage/bodyshop (well it was Saturday so alot were closed) and that guy said around £900. But I wouldnt trust him at all, he certainly didn't sound like he knew what he was talking about. He didn't even want to check if my frontlip fitted properly and said that to fix a dent they would strip it back to metal and then fill it with bodyfiller!! He said any gaps between the added-on bits and the car would be filled using bodyfiller! Too much talk of bodyfiller for my liking. No talk of blending /colour matching. He just seemed to spend ages staring at the car (probably only deals with bangers normally) Wouldn't trust him to paint my front door, nevermind my lexus! :o
  6. Hi Guys. I have been to PaneCare (www.panelcare.co.uk) in Rochdale and they are really nice friendly people and know what they are talking about, but the guy quotated by £1335 + Vat to have my bodykit (grill, skirts, lips, spoiler) painted and fitted!! This includes removing a smaill dent, two scratches and spraying the front/rear bumpers; blending and all the other stuff need to properly match the colour etc. I almost fainted when I heard the price! That price cannot be right! Can anyone recomened a good bodyshop near Rochdale/Mancheser/Oldham/Bury etc areas that is cheaper? I have had a look in the yellow pagaes, but I do not really know if the place is anygood or not. Anyone have any personaly experience? Its the school holidays next week, so I would like the work done during that week becuase I will be able to boroow my sisters car while the work is done. Thanks, Anees
  7. Whats the part number for the correct Eibach Springs for the Lexus IS200? Is it? 8259.140 Thanks
  8. Stay awake from Turf Hill and Kirkholt and you should be okay. I had the styling kit on 18" and not lowered and managed to graze the front of the bumper on a curb (a parking space where you drive in diagonally), so I;d be a little careful! Oh No! I drive past Turf Hill (past Springhill School) on my way to Shaw in Oldham from Rochdale. :yack: Er.....suppose I'll have to get around it. Thanks for your replies. Much appreciated.
  9. To be honest, I am worried about my behavoiur...I am turning into an LOC addict. I have only had the car 2 weeks and bought/ordered already: Personal Plate, JDM Antenna, TRD Metal Door Sills, Genuine Lexus Sports Grill, Full Bodykit (Front Lip, Side Skirts and Bumper Lip), Spoiler from the US (nice:) ) Gold Badges, Ebay Xenon HID look bulbs, Mtech Sport Wipers, Gold/Chrome Road Tax Holder, Gold Tyre Vale Caps, JDM Dash Tray, In addition to this I already have a Xenarc 7" TFT which I bought months before I got the car to be used with my laptop as a CarPC. I think I'm out of control!!!!
  10. Well, after much deliberation I got the ALTEZZA Full Bodykits Package (the blue one on the site!) Can not wait to get my car into the bodyshop once this arrives. Thanks for the help.
  11. Good Idea. I am getting an extension done at home and our garage in turning into a room. So my car will also be without a garage. Have you tried Argos?
  12. Thanks for the replies guys. I forgot to mention that I will also have side skirts on my car and a front/rear lip when the kit arrives. I drive a lot around Oldham/Manchester and the place seems to be bloody full of them (Oldham in particular). I have a mate with a highly modified Honda Integra and basically he cannot go in Multi-story car parks or on 90% of speed bumps. Don’t want to end up like him! Usually I will be in the car by myself, but obviously I’d like to be able to carry passengers! Maybe I should just not bother with lowering……….but that would be too sensible! ;)
  13. Hi, I just want to ask the guys that have lowered their IS200/300's if they have trouble with speed bumps. I am planning to get Eibach Springs (30mm drop) and 18” Alloys 225/40/18. My Lexus is my daily drive and I go around a lot of areas where there are speed bumps. Should I be concerned? Thanks, Anees
  14. Thanks Mate. Just wanted to be sure before I put a bid in. :) :)
  15. Hi, Just a quick question. On the US ebay someone is selling TRD JDM Door Sills. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAP...TRK%3AMEWA%3AIT I was just wondering if they would fit my IS200 SE properly. The seller says he doesn't know, but they are designed for the Altezza/IS300 so I assume they will be fine. Just wanted to double check really. Are they easy to fit for someone "DIY Challenged"? :) Thanks
  16. Thanks mate. The kit on ebay seems to be exactly the same as this one: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vie...me=STRK:MEWA:IT Im not sure about it. I looks good, but I don't really like the spoiler that much or the grill. I'm sure I can do better for less then the £569 price of this kit. Will check out the members garage. Anees
  17. Anyone bought anyone from these guys before? Also, how would I check the fit without actually buying the kit first? It does say on the website that the side skirts fit the factory fit bolt holes. Not sure about the front/back lip however. Damn...they all look so nice! :) :) :)
  18. Hi, Having just got my new IS200 SE I noticed that it has a few stone chips on the front, a tiny little dent at the back and the odd scratch that the previous owner has (badly) tried to touch up. I have decided to take it to a body shop to get all this stuff sorted out. So I thought that since I am there I would save money if I got a few other body related things done that I wanted done at the same time. I already have an original Lexus Sports Grill (thanks lexi1 :)) to put on. I have ordered an OEM IS300 spoiler for it from the US and now what I want is a subtle bodykit. I have seen some nice kits that I like from a company called "Ultimate Performance Autosupply" based in Nottingham. I got the link to their website from the Members links section on this site. They are well priced too with both kits costing £360 + Vat and comprising of Front Lip, R/L Side Skirt & Rear Lip. The two kits can be seen at: http://www.upauto.co.uk/is200bs.htm I am interested in: ALTEZZA Full Bodykits Package ALTEZZA Type S Full Bodykits Package Which do you think looks nicer? Thanks, Anees
  19. Yep, when I was looking for my IS I saw a few S models with Sat Nav! Were quite alot on eBay too. Sinclair mate, do you have a picture of your headrests with screens? I might be interested in a swap. My interior is Black. Anees
  20. I think I'll go with the TRD ones for the pedals. What about the footrest however? Will Lexus supply these? Thanks
  21. Damn, sorry I have posted this in the wrong forum! Sorry Please still help (or forum mods please move to appropriate location)
  22. Hi guys, Where do I get Sports Pedals from to put on an SE that are similar to the Sport version? Are these the same pedals? They look very similar. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAP...sspagename=WD4V What about the foot rest? Thanks as always you wonderful people! :D Anees
  23. Thanks for the help mate! Much appreciated.:)
  24. er... I maybe being abit thick. But how would I actually attach the badge to the grill? Do I use some kind of glue or something else (yes its true....I am that clueless!:duh:) Thanks as always
  25. Thanks mate. What I want to do, is get a Lexus badge, get it gold-plated and then stick it on to the grille. Thing is, is it possible to stick the badge onto this grille securely or would I have to buy the much more expensive lexus sports grill like in the picture? (hope I am making sense)
