  1. I went for sky+HD with the phone line and broadband and had the option for BT crap...as you guess I went for sky and I think it is good as I have got all the docs and kids stuff and always recordind stuff to watch later....never run out of things to watch. Tis good that i am up early so I can record while in bed and watch when I come home.... broadband is ok for free with the package.... Oh matt I got a voucher somwhere where you get a sky+HD box and install for free and broadband will have to look for it if you are interested To the guys who know about my problem with my picture on SD via Hd lead well it seams I need a software update forthe TV
  2. These sockets are old! - i would say a 10 years old. I dont know what brand, all i know they have opened everything ive thrown at it. including a pully on a honda civic b16. They were both silver, I dont think i can get to the washer as the opening is very small. I am in wakefield - thats where the car is. Maybe I should buy one of these ... http://www.halfords.com/webapp/wcs/stores/...tegoryId_165727 I have seen a cheap SIP, and just use the sockets from that set, (I dont have a compressor) hey matey I am in Knottingly so not to far away if the car is driveable fetch it over and I will crack the bolt for ya, if not I may be able to pop accross and crack it for ya....never had no probs with mine
  3. hey IS300 headlights will not fit a 200 as the inner wings are slightly different....some mods required to make them fit B)
  4. I would try and get a pic of it but it is not that noticeable on camera and the picture is slightly fuzzy on SD but on HD it is near perfect I altered the box to 720p and no difference on SD
  5. well I have the sky engineer out and no joy.......he said as it is an LG tv then it won't get a good picture on SD due to the software it uses to convert it via the HD lead/socket... HD is perfect....oh you say it is from Asia well that could be true as I bought it in Cyprus when I was living there and it came back in the car with me....tis a good TV It looks like I will have to purchase a full HD tv next year possibly 42+ inch. thanks guys for your help ... Have not tried it on my mates tv as I don't think it will help as it won't work properly on mine.. :winky:
  6. I think some people are out there to get what they can but not all of us.... hope you are ok mate nice to hear from you but I don't get on hear as much as I use to with comitments...
  7. all these questions my LG tv model is a 37LC2R....the resolution is???? not 100% sure, I have to find the disc it cam e with to look at the specs...wll have a look for it I have altered the HD output but it is still the same the other sky+ box does not have a HDMI output.. I should be taking my box to my mates and try it on his tv has his looks perfect The sky guy is calling tomorrow afternoon will answer the other questions asap
  8. Have switched the output on the skybox still the same..... almost certain it is the box....got an engineer coming out with a new box but if it is the same I have told them I want a sky+ box only as I have had enough of watching poor quality pictures on the HD box when it is perfect via the scart.... The guy at sky last night to me to view it through the scart so it defeats the object of HD then.....I just laughed at him.... Is there any other boxes out there other than using sky's box??
  9. Been onto sky this evening and told them that the picture quality is garbage an dwant a bog standard sky+box and told I can't downgrade until an engineer has come out to see the problem....on ehas been out 3 times and still not fixed..... anyway going to take it to my mates house and see on his hitachi tv will let you know the outcome not immpressed with sky saying it is my HD lead and then saying it could bethe TV....but why should a blueray play play perfect????
  10. WOW!!! my head hurts!! :duh: My bluray device is a sony Vaio.... so therefore it is defo HD (full 108O) your point of use to watching in HD then SD will look poor, well when I plug a normal sky+ box in the picture is perfect.... HD box is fuzzy and slightly picsalating (I'm tired so my spelling is not so good) I have a video sender to send to a normal tv and the picture is perfect via the HD box.. HD box via scart is also perfect.. I have not yet tried it on anoher HD tv but should be having a go soon to see if it is the TV..
  11. I ban 2D as I've not done her for a while and she has still got my CD
  12. You need a decent hammer and a lever and a mate...... first you need someone to lever from behind of the pully whilst someone taps the front of the pulley and slowly it will come off as it was that way I got mine off as for the crank bolt....I put a power bar on it and wedged it to the floor and cranked the engine over for a milli second and hey presto it will come off.... I dont want to do that... as something has fallen down the timing belt cover! so no cranking! you are not actually cranking the engine over..... the power bar is wedged against the floor so when you turn turn the engine over it is only enough to shock the crank bolt to come loose.... it does work as my mate who is mechanic does this when he gets a stubborn bolt
  13. which one do use the hi foam one or the normal one auto glym Hi mate, I use autoglym interior shampoo not the foam and it is great on my beige interior.....it does come up like new but that depends on how dirty your interior is and I didn't find it expensive at all.... cost me about a tenner for 2 bottle and found that is enough..
  14. 15. No don't know anyone with a HD box around here, they have only the sky+box I may have to take it round there and try it on there tv and see what the quality is like. and yes you are right about sky customer service it is rubbish...get your money and run so to speak
  16. I have only had the box for about a month and it has done it from day one and the box has been replaced and still the same. the dish is about 7metres awayfrom the box. and it is an amstrad...
  17. A friend has a soarer, H reg. It has been stood a year or more and the suspension will not pump up now. The car is flat to the ground Any ideas to what the problem is??
  18. well as it say's I have picture problems with my Sky HD... I have a 37 inch LG tv..... when veiwing HD channels the picture is as it should be but when you watch non HD channels the picture is slightly fuzzy... and sorta pixalating not crisp clear as it should be..... I have tried 3 HD leads and still the same, I can plug a scart lead in and veiw it that way and the picture is perfect but you don't need to do this if you have a HD conection an is a pain in the rear to keep switching from HD to scart.... I have a laptop with blu ray and the picture is perfect so my question is why is it now perfect with the sky+ box 1 sky have come out twice and replaced the box and still the same.. 2 sky say it is the TV 3 sky say get a tv engineer out...BOLLOX!!! the tv works perfect with blu ray I know there are some tech guys out there who know what they are talking about nott like the sky geezers who come out so come on guys solve my problem otherwise sky can have there HD box back...... oh I have a normal sky + box and the picture is perfect... I am going to try the box on my mates tv to make sure it is not my tv but if it was the blu ray would be the same as I use the same HD port...
  19. will only need to superglue the wing back together and what is the food like in yum sing
  20. I ban Lexus2D as it is saturday and nobody has banned anyone for ages and I ain't banned anybody for ages
  21. Sounds like it could be your ABS brakes working and doing there job as you say you junped on them really hard so therefore they did not lock up due to the ABS working correctly by putting the brakes on/off very quickly giving you the feeling that the pedal is very hard... nowt to worry about just the car is looking after you if you know what I mean...just try it again in a safe place... hope it helps you mate
  22. so not many good reviews about the L200 animal.....looks the part tho but I had a play in a hilux last year and was impresed with it....many people think it is the rolls royce for in this class of vehicle...also it is a toyota
  23. Well as it says I am after a new toy.............well new car but I don't want to part with the Lex just yet... I fancy a Toyota Hilux..2006 onwards with leather of course or a mitsubishi L200 animal.2006 onwards. I need one to move some large objects about and my sons motorbike well mini moto but will be getting a couple of motor crosses soon for us so the lexus is not capable of this...I have driven the Hilux but not the Animal which looks pretty, just need to know if it is up to the job..... don't want basic model. Not keen on the nissan nivara as I had one for a bit in cyprus and it was very uncomfortable... Would consider a px for the right one..... Also looked at a merc clk 320 cab but not sure at the moment... anyway enough of me ranting on, let me know your thoughts as I am sure soem of you have had either 4x4 cheers
  24. i used some of that swirl remover and didn't realise that it worked till I tookthe pics... I think that is why I like the colour as it changed colour depoending upon the light .. :winky:
