  1. Thank you so much for all the info, taking all that apart scares me so will have to try and find someone reputable to do it for me
  2. Thank you all, just came across this video which did some good controlled tests, whats interesting is the results at the 6:10 mark: In a nutshell, under 10 degrees the all weather tyres perform better in the rain, looking at London weather averages, that would be 4 months out of the year (Nov to Feb) the all weather tyres should outperform, rest of the year they are still not too bad but do lag behind summer tyres a bit. Trying to decide what to do now, if I go for all season i'd have to replace all 4 tyres, my rears still have 5 to 6mm left I think so that feels like a bit of a waste, would welcome thoughts from the members here 🙂
  3. I am after a unit too, any chance you can PM me (or post here) what seller you purchased from? trying to use someone who fellow members here have used before 🙂
  4. Hi everyone I purchased my car around 3.5 years ago and its got Bridgestone Turanza all round, I only do around 4k miles per year now, both front tyres have around 4mm left but I've noticed some cracking as attached. I cant see any DOT codes on these (heard they may be behind the tyre where I cannot see it) so not sure how old these are, at least 4 years old I'd imagine as i've not changed it since my car ownership, would you guys replace these tyres based on this? Costco have the MICHELIN e.PRIMACY ones available for my car for the fronts so thinking would just go for that (not been overly pleased with my Bridgestones), open to any feedback about my tyre choice too 🙂 Thanks!
  5. Thank you both for your replies, I'll have a look and go for one of these systems, the one I originally looked at the back/forward skip buttons on the steering wheel for the music do not work but think thats not an issue for the above 2 so thats good, if anyone has any youtube links handy on installation then please post them, I'll also do a search when my system arrives as I think i've seen it before on this forum somewhere 🙂
  6. Hi Everyone I've seen various options available for retrofitted Android Auto / Apple Carplay into the IS300H and had a couple of questions, I've got a late 2013 IS300H premier with reversing camera and Mark Levinson sound system. 1) Is there a system which most owners here have gone for which they'd recommend? Some even seem to have bigger screens then the OEM one which would be handy. 2) Does changing the system affect the sound quality at all and do the steering wheel buttons and reversing camera etc still work? I definitely am not confident in doing this so I would probably call the Lexus or Toyota dealer and ask them for a price, appreciate people are saying its quite easy but i'm too nervous to tackle this myself. Advice would be appreciated as I love my car and this would definitely freshen it up a bit for me 🙂
  7. Yep that is correct, my understanding is non dealers can do this quite easily though 🙂
  8. Thank you for the link, do you know if it will work with a late 2013 with the mark levinson sound system? Theres no way I would be able to do this myself so think I'd have to find a specialist.
  9. Hi all My late 2013 IS300H has the blinking TPMS warning light so sounds like I need to replace one of them (no idea which one!), has anyone had this done and can recommend anywhere? I was thinking either buy the sensor from Toyota or Lexus and get someone like F1 to fit or just go to a tyre place and get them to supply and fit, I normally only use genuine Lexus parts but for a TPMS sensor maybe OEM will also suffice i'm thinking.. Or if we know who manfactureres the Lexus TPMS sensor I can try and see if its cheaper for that brand, trying to avoid paying £85 just for the part if the £40 is also good quality. Advice appreciated 🙂
  10. I've got a 2013 is300h premier which has good speakers, I've got the same issue, can't see a way to use usb with Spotify, only Bluetooth works, please update everyone if someone finds a way 🙂
  11. Many thanks Josh for the update, I had a Honda accord which was very reliable so I'm sure you'll be happy with one 🙂
  12. Agreed I'll be looking at a replacement now, the replies to this thread prompted me to have a more careful look at the tyre 😃
