  1. Hopefully after you have had the test drive.
  2. Only problem then is that 400 cars pay less than 600 cars. Not sure they like that idea.
  3. Experience from when living in Africa and driving on roads that would not be called roads here and seeing very few Peugeots stranded, I suppose they could be called reliable. Peugeot has had electrical problems when the 106 Rally was new (around 1990 I think) because the common ground (negative) was placed just under the headlights and in cold wet countries that made the dashboard a lightshow with blinking lamps. The newer ones seems to not have that problem.
  4. Absolutely not only in UK. In Denmark you get fined for parking 5cm outside the marked area and the marked area is 10cm narrower than tha car. Extremely good business. Here on the island they are not as strickt with such rules, but marked spaces for parking are too small here also. And we are only looking for space enough to park a CT.
  5. Your insurance company is decent. Then again, you must live in a neighbourhood rather dangerous since you have had so many cars broken into. Which car, that is comfortable and not very large, nor over-expensive that is not in the eyes of crooks? Peugeot 308 – 2008 - Dacia Sandero - VW Golf – Škoda – Seat - Toyota Corolla. All of these are decent cars, that are pretty reliable and maybe so common that the one you have will not be more sought after than the same car your neighbour has. Not in same class as a good CT, but in my eyes OK to drive and to be transported in from one place to another. Hope you get well soon.
  6. You can get 3 times the memory and a faster chip on phones from other companies, so that you chose to support Apple you can only blame yourself.

Windshield wipers are ridiculously expensive and they always want to change the whole thing even though the metal parts are perfectly well. Maybe they are too lazy to replace just the rubber parts or they just want to sell the most expensive. Rubber inserts can be bought cheap on eBay. Original Denso Hybrid rubber in correct size: https://www.ebay.de/itm/255489534102 Pretty sure Lexus should be able to supply rubber inserts as well. Unfortunately we live in the time of greed.
  8. Welcome to the forum. Enjoy your car and hope you get well soon.
  9. 245x40x18 will be 635,2mm high and will rotate 501.48 revolutions each km 245x45x17 will be 652.3mm high and will rotate 502,17 revolution each km Difference will be 0.137% Ride will be softer. Maybe 4 new wheels will be cheaper than a new softer suspension.
  10. The times they are changing. Here Lexus is no longer Lexus, but Toyota. Service no longer outstanding. Sadly. Lexus made the reputation with the old models and it took a long time. Losing a reputation can come a lot faster. Luckily for me the 2017 CT needs only regular service. Seems all new models are made with less perfection.
  11. Higher profile tyres = softer ride. Less metal, more air. Have always recommended Continental and will change to that next time instead of the OEM I stupidly replaced once to same.
  12. If source is Spotify the sound is terrible due to very low quality and high compression. MP3 in 320kbps is close to acceptable, m4a in 512kbps will be good for most of the older generation. Unfortunately, Lexus is not interested in lossless audio and therefore does not play that in the ML without a direct Line-In. Maybe in the newer cars there are later Bluetooth modes that can transfer better quality, as having wires seems a bit old fashioned. The 2017 model we have will not accept anything better than m4a. But on a DVD, there can be 20 hours of music on one in 512kbps, so will be enough for most tours. Wine gets better with age, unfortunately it is not the same with ears.
  13. Very low profile may look good (depending on the eye of the beholder) but for a big and heavy car, which may have been bought in order to have a comfortable way of transport from one place to another a 40-profile tyre is close to rather not very comfortable. Maybe I am just too old.
  14. Your forbearance is impressive. Some children it is not possible to explain everything. Unfortunately, this is also the case with some adults. And even if the birth certificate says otherwise, there are children who never grow up. Peter Pan?

  16. Revving Up for the Future: Top 10 Hydrogen Fuel Cars to Keep an Eye on in 2023 By JULIE CAMPBELL https://www.hydrogenfuelnews.com/author/julie-2-2-2-2-2/ Hydrogen fuel cars are generating attention, despite not having reached the popularity of electric battery vehicles. Automakers are investing in these automobiles and producing various concept and prototype models. This article highlights ten notable hydrogen fuel vehicles, including the Hyundai N Vision 74, Toyota GR Yaris H2, BMW iX5 Hydrogen, Renault Scenic Vision, Hyperion XP-1, H2X Warrego, Riversimple Rasa, NAMX SUV, Forze IX, and Alpine A4810. Hydrogen fuel passenger cars aren’t mainstream yet, but here are some models for you to watch. Hydrogen fuel cars are definitely making headlines, even if they haven’t yet caught up to the popularity of battery electrics on today’s roads. Several automakers have been investing heavily into the development of these automobiles, and they’ve come up with some fascinating models. The following are 10 hydrogen fuel cars you’re going to want to keep an eye on. These 10 hydrogen fuel cars include what you’ll likely be seeing on tomorrow’s roads and not necessarily what is already there. These are concepts and protypes as opposed to models such as the Toyota Mirai and Hyundai Nexo, which are already available for purchase, to a limited extent. Though the adoption rate is slow – for several reasons, if only because refueling networks are so far limited at best – many experts predict that H2 is on the cusp of taking off in passenger vehicles as is already expected to be the case in larger vehicles, long-haul trucks requiring a long range, and heavy machinery with high energy demands. As electricity becomes more expensive, rare metals required for batteries become harder and more expensive to source, and the energy crises continues in Europe and other regions around the world, some believe that battery electric vehicles will soon be reaching their peak, and that H2 will start taking over as an alternative by the end of this decade. Though some automakers disagree, several are hoping to lead the way when this happens. Hydrogen fuel cars recently announced as prototypes and concept vehicles. The following are some of the hydrogen fuel cars currently in prototype or concept phases that are making the biggest headlines right now. It’s not difficult to understand why they’ve drawn such fascination and curiosity from car lovers and zero-emission vehicle enthusiasts alike. 1 – Hyundai N Vision 74 The N Vision 74 concept vehicle from Hyundai is a nostalgic blast from the past, modernized with a futuristic design. Taking inspiration from the classic Pony Coupe, which was produced from 1975 – 1990, this latest concept car is sure to capture the hearts of automotive fans around the world. Bringing together Hyundai’s advanced fuel cell technology and sleek design sensibilities, this concept car promises to deliver an unprecedented level of power and performance for drivers. It’s an exciting time for those eagerly awaiting news of this revolutionary new concept car from Hyundai. 2 – Toyota GR Yaris H2 Toyota has revealed its cutting-edge hydrogen combustion engine technology in the GR Yaris. The fuel and fuel tanks used in the experimental vehicle are similar to that of Toyota’s flagship zero-emissions electric car, the Mirai. However, instead of a chemical reaction to generate energy like with the Mirai, the GR Yaris uses an internal combustion engine burning hydrogen as its fuel. Despite still being in its early stages of development and not commercially viable yet, Toyota’s experimental Corolla Sport powered by hydrogen is dazzling fans at motorsports events across Japan with virtually no tailpipe emissions. 3 – BMW iX5 Hydrogen The BMW iX5 Hydrogen stands out because of the company’s strength in H2 propulsion systems. The BMW iX5 packs a powerful punch, boasting a combined 374 horsepower from its fuel-cell-electric system. Its 5627-pound weight is comparable to the plug-in-hybrid X5, and it can go from 0 – 62 mph in under seven seconds—with a top speed of 118 mph. While the vehicle is not yet available for purchase, BMW has released a select number of models to conduct testing. 4 – Renault Scenic Vision The new concept vehicle from Renault is an innovative and eco friendly crossover that combines next generation design with hybrid fuel cell powertrain technology. Under its hood lies a powerful electric motor producing 215 horsepower, a 21 horsepower range extender hydrogen fuel cell and a 40 kilowatt hour battery. This combination of components creates twice the capacity for the same range with a much lighter battery – adding up to an impressive 497 mile range. 5 – Hyperion XP-1 Hyperion Motors was first created in California, but after growing quickly there, it moved to Columbus Ohio, where it is slated to begin production of its powerful hydrogen fuel car, the Hyperion XP-1 this year. The Hyperion XP-1 is a revolution in electric automobiles. Its four electric motors produce an incredible 1.5 MW of power, allowing it to reach a top speed of 356 km/h and going from 0 to 100 km/h in just 2.2 seconds. Not only that, but the range on this car is reported at over 1,000 miles – that’s nearly 1700 kilometers! 6 – H2X Warrego This extreme hydrogen fuel truck was developed with European consumers in mind. That said, the H2X Warrego will start production in Australia later this year. Features will include an AWD, mileage range 466 and tray/tow-capacity of 1000kg/2500kg. The price for these zero emissions trucks is starting at $189,000! 7 – Riversimple Rasa The Riversimple Rasa is a revolutionary new car, designed to be powered by a fuel cell and constructed from carbon fibre. It is entering its final development stages and is set to be an incredible feat of engineering. The car will feature an ultracapacitor system, allowing for high energy storage capacity, improved efficiency, and better environmental impact. We can’t wait to see this amazing vehicle when it hits the roads! 8 – NAMX SUV NAMX is poised to revolutionize the automotive industry will its fuel cell powertrain. According to the company, two different trim levels will be offered at its initial 2025 rollout, beginning with an entry-level model that features a rear-wheel drive and 296 horsepower. This model can reach 62 miles per hour in 6.5 seconds and accelerate up to 124 miles per hour, and is priced at $68,410. For those seeking even more power, there’s the GTH model, which offers four-wheel-drive and a whopping 542 horsepower. With a top speed of 155 mph and the ability to reach 62 miles per hour in only 4.5 seconds, this powerful vehicle comes at a higher price tag of around $99,984. 9 – Forze IX The Forze IX is packed with power, featuring a four-wheel drive and weighing in at 3300 pounds. The two fuel cell systems provide an impressive 659 horsepower, with a boost mode that further increases its output to above 800 horsepower. With such formidable force under the hood, this car leaves no doubt as to why it is considered one of the most powerful on the market. 10 – Alpine A4810 The A4810 Hypercar is a Hydrogen powered supercar with aerodynamic components influenced by Formula One models. Its lightweight and efficient carbon fiber bodywork makes it stand out from other cars on the road, while its interior provides ultimate luxury and comfort for the driver. The upholstery is made of leather and Alcantara with blue stitching, and the center console panel features an engine start button, transmission controls, electric window switches, and an electronic handbrake switch – all within easy reach. Gearshift paddles are conveniently located on the steering wheel, providing added convenience and performance while driving. All these features together make the A4810 desired by those who seek both luxury and performance –OO7 included!
  17. Stopped drinking alcohol so long ago that I cannot remember when.
  18. I think there is enough grain so some could be given to those that are starving. Or is it better to keep the price for grain up?
  19. In some not extremely rich countries, where the standard family car was a little one, like here, I am not sure that all parking houses are capable of carrying very large cars, no matter if EV, diesel or gasoline. On the other side, some of the parking houses are difficult to drive in for bigger cars, so maybe it is not a problem.
  20. You did not like the Japanese version. Like an English? Toyota confirms Crown hydrogen fuel cell car launch this fall May 2, 2023 0 By Tami Hood https://www.hydrogenfuelnews.com/author/tami-2-2-2/ Toyota is expanding its Crown lineup to include a hydrogen fuel cell car as well as a plug-in hybrid powertrain version. The new Crown lineup will also have multiple body styles, including a raised-sedan body style referred to as the “Crossover type.” The models are expected to roll out in the fall, but it hasn’t been confirmed yet which models will be available in the United States. The automaker will have a plug-in hybrid version of the model as well as several body styles. Toyota has announced that it is expanding its Crown lineup to include a hydrogen fuel cell car as well as a plug-in hybrid powertrain version. There will be multiple body styles and they will roll out in the fall, though it hasn’t been made clear specifically which models will be heading to the United States. The Crown will be coming back to the United States for its 2023 model year. The hybrid and hydrogen fuel cell car models will be replacing the Avalon Hybrid sedan in the automaker’s lineup. The Crown will also be available in a raised-sedan body style. Though Toyota has yet to confirm specifically which models are on their way to the United States, it has referred to them as the “Crossover type.” Previously, the automaker has shown the Crown in concept forms as a conventional sedan, a “Sport” hatchback, and an “Estate” wagon version. Some additional details about each of those model variants have also been shared more recently. The Crown hydrogen fuel cell car model will likely be the sedan expected to arrive in the fall. 2023 Toyota Crown Image Credit: Toyota Press Room The Crown Sport is expected to be the first of the lineup to launch. It will roll out in the fall with a hybrid powertrain, and in the winter a plug-in hybrid version will also become available. The Sedan will also arrive in the fall, with both fuel cell and hybrid powertrains. The Crown Estate isn’t expected until 2024. That model variant will have plug-in hybrid and hybrid powertrains. The new model will be wider and longer. The new Sedan model will be about 2 inches wider and longer than the current Crown sedan in the US market, and it will sit around 3 inches lower than the current model. Both the Sport and Estate variations will be shorter than the new Sedan, but will be similar in width, with the Sport being shorter than the Estate. By the time this article was written, no additional information about the powertrains of the hybrid, plug-in hybrid or hydrogen fuel cell car models for the US was released. That said, the US version of the Crown will have the Hybrid Max powertrain, which is based on a conventional automatic transition instead of the planetary hybrid system that Toyota typically uses.
  21. Maybe there is some way to correct that, as the little CT does that. On the other hand the navigation system in the car is so much less efficient than the Google Map system, so if I should ever really need a navigation system I would just use the smartphone.
  22. Do not expect too much. Googling is difficult.
  23. Absolutely. Better make booze out of grain than give it to the hungry ones. That way the boozers die of delirium and the hungry ones starve. Making room.
