  1. I am afraid I would push the Main dealer more on this issue, you should not have to be paying for a new battery on such a new car!!
  2. Sorry my mistake, I was referring to the post facelift 2017 models. All the ones I looked at it only had it on comfort/sport & above, with reversing camera, leather, rain sensing wipers & dimming rearview mirror.
  3. Yes there is a recess on top of the door handle, but as already stated it is only only Comfort pack/Sport pack & above.
  4. The majority of cars still available only have 7" screens, I think the 10.25" is on the premium model only & there are not many of them available. I can have my screen split to show 2 maps on it, I know I have done it, but wanted my music on the other half & just wondered if its possible?
  5. Is it possible to split the standard 7" screen on my IS 300h to have the map & music etc on it? I know I can have dual map, but would like to have music as well if possible.
  6. I took my service plan out with the Motorline group which covers my 3 local Dealers, Maidstone, Tunbridge Wells & Canterbury. I could have arranged it with Lexus Derby, but the nearest Dealer I could use is Guilford, too far away from me really.
  7. Yes I am sure that is it, I am not really a lover of SUV's anyway. I had a Volvo V40 D4 previous to the IS & it was a nice car, but I hated the XC40 that replaced it. I still can't really understand why so many people now want an SUV?
  8. I can now understand why, I didn't realise it was virtually a Toyota( not a bad thing), but certainly didn't feel as nice as my IS. I think you hit the nail on the head when you said no character.
  9. When I picked my new IS 300h up a few weeks ago I noticed after driving it home & playing around with it that the Sat Nav was out of date. I contacted the dealer I purchased it from & was told the update was free as it should have been done before I picked it up, problem was the purchasing dealer is nearly 200 miles away. I contacted my local dealer who was brilliant, arranged for Nav to be updated for free & also programmed my windows to ope/close on remote. They lent me a top of the range UX whilst this work was being done & I must say I am glad I bought an IS. The UX to me seems to have a lot more plastic on the interior & seems like a downgrade, the seats I found were not as comfortable, the dash layout I also found not as appealing as the IS, but the biggest drawback for me was the look, I personally do not think it is a very nice looking car (sorry to those that own one this is my opinion & is not meant as a put down). The big plastic wheel arch surrounds look out of place & the body shape is not too great either, too futuristic for me. I parked it next to my friends Merc GLA at work & a few of us were comparing them & the GLA won hands down. I am so glad to be back in my IS, the way the seats hug me, the driving position & the controls are where I want them, I love it. Here is to many (I Hope) happy years of IS ownership. Have a good weekend everyone.
  10. Thank you very much for that, all sorted now.👍
  11. I have added my iPhone to car no problem at all, but I cannot get it to load messages from it. It keeps saying you may have to use your phone to sync the messages? I have tried playing around with the phone whilst it has been trying to sync, but no joy at all with the messages. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
  12. I have owned my Is300h Comfort pack/Protection pack for 2 weeks now & have just refuelled it after doing just over 530 miles, it has averaged 47.8 mpg. I have not been rushing around though as I have been getting used to the car & running it in. I have made 2 long journeys of roughly 300 miles & the rest have been shorter runs of 10 miles or so.
  13. There are quite a few still available, if you go on Carwow & put in your choice you will get quite a few dealers offer you a deal on a new one in different colours & specs.
  14. I don’t know where you are getting £37k from, top of the range maybe? 0-60 in IS 300h is 8.3 secs, I don’t know where you got the 9.2 from? The Audi A4 35 TFSI I test drove was over £33k so to me it was comparable & slightly slower.
  15. Audi A4 35 TFSI S line is similar in price & slightly slower 0-60, I know I test drove one. Nice car, but not a Lexus I am afraid & they are everywhere. Also remember performance is not just about speed, handling comes into it as well & the IS is very good in that dept. I am not having a dig or anything, after all I have only owned mine for 2 weeks 😃, but to me it is a really top quality car & great to drive.
  16. Thanks for the replies everyone, I did wonder if this was the case as I am normally pretty good with tech stuff, I just wondered if there was something I was missing as I only have the standard Navigation.
  17. I have tried to find a way of connecting my car to the internet, it has the standard 7” Nav, car was built in 2020. Am I missing something? Also it is showing map date as 10/2018 does anyone know if this is the latest map for the IS? Thanks.
  18. Have now got my V5, put in the code & all it tells me is when car was delivered. There is no option to connect to the internet & inputing the Nav code just comes up with connection error. has anyone actually got the IS 300h to connect to the internet with standard Navigation.
  19. No, there is a another No on the V5 I need to activate the Infotainment system to work with the app?
  20. I need my V5 apparently & it still hasn't turned up yet.
  21. I must say the IS250 is a lovely looking car, my Brother used to own one & really liked it.
  22. I haven't had a chance to floor it at all yet, we have had snow all week & its been very slippery. Hopefully next week.😀 Did you not like the Hybrid system then?
  23. It has been snowing all week in Kent, typical for the first week of new car ownership, car covered in salt!!! Anyway washed it today & took some pics. I love it, so relaxing to drive.
  24. Thanks Fatts, I arranged the service plan today with my local Lexus dealer who is also going to program the windows for me. I will post some pics soon.
