  1. Excellent work Adrian, will be as good as new soon😎👍
  2. Agree with higher octane choice just in case....just hope it doesn't get too expensive....£1.38.9 per litre at Glasgow Costco today......
  3. Although my 2JZ V6 gets the 👍......not sure I want to take the chance🤔......if it all goes South, they would say "wear and tear" all day long!
  4. Welcome Adrian, lovely car, condition and colour. Although not many were sold in the UK (714), there are still 395 on the road, amazing build quality and reliability....I've only seen 1 other...where are they all hiding? 🤔. Here's my 2005 Sportcross......
  5. Very true.....the "old" reference in the thread was meant for me 🤣👍 Very impressive having a 1994 vintage LS400😮, great materials and build quality😎👍
  6. kThanks for the warm welcome👍....my mechanic knows what he's doing, i'm very lucky, I just help out and pay the bills.....got fingers crossed for many more years of reliable Lexus motoring🤞😎.......
  7. Hi everyone, I'm quite new to the site but have commented to a couple of threads so far...... I have been the proud owner of a 2005 IS300 Sportcross for 2 years and bought it from my parents whom looked after it very well, mostly dealer serviced, but very well maintained over the years (I have all the service receipts, tyres, exhaust, cat etc) and also it came with a spare set of alloys with winter tyres. Being in their mid 70's now, they wanted a more predictable motoring experience and opted for a Lexus UX, which has only done a couple of thousand miles in 2 years mainly due to covid....... It has 87000 miles and is by no means perfect, but all of the suspension components have been replaced, anti-roll bar bushes, timing belt last month (2nd new belt) diff and gearbox oil changed at last service and alloys refurbed (powdercoated and diamond cut) and 4 new Continental tyres. Only cost me £1800 to buy (what my parents were offered as a trade-in by Lexus, Glasgow) and probably spent the same again in parts and labour, but it is an absolute dream to drive, looks and feels like a new car and goes like the wind when required😁. Just wanted to say a big HI and there are some great posts across the forum and some very beautiful cars..........looking forward to chatting soon, cheers😎👍
  8. Hi, This company has franchises across the UK and although the pitting hasn't been completely removed in a few areas, overall the quality is very good.....They advised that changing the colour to something contrasting would really improve the look and also get better effect of the machining from the stock finish....They can do same day drop-off and collection. Mine took a few days but didn't mind as i would rather they didn't rush.......worthwhile to call them and chat about colour etc options....good luck😎👍
  9. Full powdercoat in gloss black and then diamond cut the outer profile and laquered.....i used a company called "The Wheel Specialist"....£500 (a lot) but it makes it look like a new car again. Well worth it😎👍
  10. Recently got the alloys fully refurbished...not perfect or cheap, but it has transformed the look of the car...very happy with the result👍
