  1. Hi everyone, Being a hybrid newbie, I have a question about what i should be expecting after "normal" 25 mile motorway commute in normal drive mode...(in cruise control at 65mph and fairly flat terrain)? When i arrived at work it still had 2 bars of charge to complete after getting to that level within 15 miles and i'm just not sure if that is normal in Summer temps etc? I will probably get the hybrid system check from my local Glasgow Lexus dealer for 100% peace of mind....small price to pay, really. Also, does anuone else have "rattly" rear number plate illuminator light housings?....just noticed this morning and thought,it felt really cheap and not up to Lexus build quality......as usual, any help and advice greatly appreciated, cheers😎👍
  2. Hi guys, just collected my "new to me" 69 plate IS300h on Saturday. Thought i would know how the cc worked as i also have a 2005 IS300 Sportcross....... I can see where Herbie is coming from, as i did not expect the car to brake suddenly when i was expecting a 1mph reduction! Just read-up what the solution was on youtube earlier, will test on the way home.... steep learning curve on the new one....no cassette player etc😂.
  3. .......Finally, I am the excited owner of an amazing 69 plate, with less than 10k miles IS300, F-Sport and it is incredible🤗...... all perfect and Arnold Clark replaced a damaged lower section grille trim and repaired all of the under the front bumper scrape damage👍. Will leave it at that for now and add a new thread if i have any specific questions.....thanks everyone😎👍
  4. Hi B.M. wish i could help but just collected my 69 plate IS300h on Saturday and have no idea🤔......only 9900 miles on the clock (thank-you covid lockdowns😷).....hope you find out the answers....cheers and enjoy
  5. Cheers! Thought it looked odd there was a visible mismatch...will take a picture and post asap.
  6. With my very limited IS300h knowledge, can owners please clarify when looking front to back at headlight level, do the front bumper extreme side edges align perfectly width wise with the wheel arches? The car i have got my eye on has a very slight mismatch on both drivers and passenger side....about 1mm narrower than he wheel arch width (sorry no pics). Would appreciate any feedback from owners- thanks!
  7. Thanks Joe.....I've been looking all over the uk including the Lexus.co.uk site.......and started with RC300h, but was very impractical and quite "sedate" for such a sporty looking car....then briefly looked at the KIA Stinger 3.3 twin-turbo.....ouch not affordable to run as a daily driver with the high fuel costs.....so will probably go wih the local silver one as i'm not a huge fan of some of the colour/ trim options....will post the outcome once the garage have replaced a piece of damaged front grill trim... fingers crossed....cheers guys! 😎👍
  8. Aye that would be awesome😎👍.....J6 on M80, (Old Inns), heading North to Stirling would be very convenient......Just before the road splits into A9 to Inverness...... Haven't done the NC500 as a loop, but the roads are tight in places and the views up there are incredible😯.... great terrain for the Sportcross, enjoy and cheers!
  9. Would definitely like to have a Sportcross meet 😎👍....I'm in Central Scotland but have never seen another one up here😯....don't think i could afford to drive to S.E. eg for a meet though😥
  10. Thanks for everyone's advice😎👍..... went back to see it today and spotted a few things which i couldn't see in the wet😯....work in progress.....will update everyone soon, cheers guys
  11. Thanks..... the price is near the top of the Autotrader valuation. It is mint condition though. Appreciate the help👍
  12. 34k is very low👍...My 2005 has 90k miles.....Has the timing belt been done even though it is way below average mileage?
  13. Hi everyone, Just pondering over a new (to me) 2019, 69 plate IS300h F-Sport, (nav pack?), Silver, red leather interior and 9,500miles and service history.......I've been trying to weigh-up the price.....£29,995 against my gut feeling that i am paying too much...and would really appreciate your experience and knowledge of price when new etc and also any tips for negotiation on price🤓👍......It drives lovely and is in pristine condition....had a wee test drive in the typical wet West of Scotland today and was really impressed, but want to hear your views and experience of being an owner. THANK-YOU all in advance for all your wisdom😎👍
  14. Awesome car, beautiful colour and some really nice high-end touches for a very reasonable price.....Fuel consumption not so good, but wish you many years of warranty-backed, fun and compliments from admirers😎👍
  15. Sorry i can't help with your LSD question, but your car looks in amazing condition for 23 years old, wow!..... enjoy it regardless of LSD or not🤗
  16. That is incredible performance and surely a unique IS300.....How much have you spent so far? What other mods, if any, do you have planned?..... and last, but not least, how expensive is it to insure a 1000hp Sportcross?😱..... Enjoy it!😎👍
  17. Cheers guys, Certainly a useful debate here and will hopefully help everyone to be more aware of this issue, especially with the grey area of hybrid electric and petrol/ diesel power output complications which need to be clarified so we can understand the terminology. It seems to be very convenient that the insurer delegates responsibility to the policyholder, regardless of the circumstances.
  18. I don't have a UX....and not a lawyer either....But surely if it's their database which is wrong all claims would need to be honoured?
  19. Jeez lots going on and very surprised by the state of the cam cover😱.......might do the same just to check🤔......mine has 89k miles so hopefully all will be ok🤞
  20. I'll be brief........he didn't deserve to lose the title decider, especially in that manner......but what did he get the knighthood for........🤔.......Exceptional service to Tax Avoidance?😡
  21. No-one that is likely to bump into you in the Tesco car park is going to clone your plates, unless they are totally thick.....Most likely that any posted pics of your taxed and insured pride and joy (with plates showing) will be used by a rogue from the other end of the country to rack-up parking and speeding fines etc in an identical car😥.... Better to be safe than sorry😁👍
  22. Nothing as exciting as a WW2 B17 above Glasgow today....just a pair of Chinooks on a training exercise from RAF Odiham....pics by a worried resident😎👍
