IMO As has been said simply reject the car as not as described. Loose this, vibrating this, dents here & there and what lurks under the skin that you cannot see as yet. Once you accept a repair your rights are reduced so reject !

Clever marketing idea but the piece of plastic tat soon fell apart and I ended up with a Miele who made quality kit or AEG who also make some nice designed & functional stuff. Dyson are still the masters at marketing though & now just charge some laughable prices for what to me is still plastic tat , just my opinion mind and not what most think.

I just find the RX a relaxing car to drive and do just that, on occasion if there is a big hill I make it work for a living within reason as this will help the engine IMO Did used to look at the MPG now and then when I first bought it but never do now.

Thanks for you quick reply as this is exactly what I was trying to say & it is all good then. Will spend the next day or so studying what to buy (pair) and the Hankook K127A Ventus S1 EVO 3 has caught my eye.

Unfortunately I needed to pull this out from its cosy nest in the boot today (as a result of a moments stupid inattention) offered it up and had a double take on the wheel nut fit as it not the same as the wheel. IE the integral washer that is part of the wheel nut when fitted to the alloy is quite some distance away from the steel rim of the s/saver so plays no part in this case. Yes the bevel on the end of the nut seems to seat onto the location area of the steel rim but looked odd but did tighten, checked tightness again after a few miles and all good so got me home. Everything is OE and was clearly just how it had come out of the dealer when new inc plastic bag for the dirty road wheel. Never used a space saver before so does this sound correct (assuming I have made sense) to anyone used to these things.

I think that the window runners need a little lube as it sounds like the window is sticking near the top & this can produce the issue you have. A little Silicon spray into the runners each side & the top.

I also remember the gas man arriving to light the street gas lamp with a “evening gas” from a passer by. Bob the greengrocer with his horse & cart doing his rounds. The pea soupers where it was hard to see where you were going walking home. All in London BTW
