  1. Hello It was £186.00, that included shipping. As mentioned, this one was harder to get a hold of, 2009 and 2010. There were others slightly cheaper on Ebay at that time, 2 sellers in Eastern Europe but shipping added a lot more on. They would only match the price from Lexus UK, hence just got it from there. It was a bit awkward really, Lexus picked up on the fact this part dont match my number plate so were a bit reluctant to send it out. I spoke to a guy down there and explained everything and then he was ok with it. I assume they sell quite a few as they went out of stock fast and then i had to wait for another batch. They may get tired of folk ordering the wrong one and wanting to send it back, maybe. Seen them a lot cheaper for earlier cars.
  2. Mine dont have that, just basic. Glad i asked questions and appreciate all the help. Personal opinion, far better than the one i took off. Lexus UK was cheapest for the part.
  3. The reason i ask, swapped for an F sport grille which obviously is just mesh, compared to the non F sport which is not, and dont allow much air flow. My point being, dont want affect anything electrical that was once covered by the standard grille. Sorry for yet another grille question, just curious.
  4. Aye pretty straight forward when you find out what is what. Watched several videos about swapping for F sport grille, none of which mentioned nuts/bolts Anyways, for anyone doing the same job on a facelift, pretty much the same apart from.... 1) 4 nuts on the inside of the grille, one in each corner. 2)There was no screws holding the chrome grille surround to the grille, like you see in the vids, just plastic that clipped together. Pretty straight forward, need be careful pulling from the car, dont want to break it.
  5. Appears to be a nut/bolt and not a clip FFS, only gone and borrowed my socket set to my dad that lives 15 miles away, 🤬 Always happens
  6. All looked easy on youtube vids until i got to the part where you just pull the grille out. All bolts and fasteners removed Its solid though, dont appear its coming out until i break it. Most vids show pre facelift cars, as anyone done it on a later car ? Some fasteners appear different , ive added a pic of what i think the issue is. Its like it was put in not to come out!!!!!!
  7. Been quietly reading this thread hoping you would get to the bottom of it. When you were talking dashboards out etc i was thinking bet its a job that dont need the dashboard out🤣, but thats life. Well done for getting to the bottom of it!
  8. Noticed Vland lights for sale on Ebay. Does anyone know if these are all fitted with connectors and involve no electrical know how ? Also, is there any chance these can mess your car up in anyway by causing faults ? Just curious.
  9. One more question about OEM F sport wheels. Fitting these to a non-F sport, is there a bigger gap between wheel and car body?. You dont need to lower it do you ?
  10. Thanks John, appreciated. Seen a set of those Baransu for sale recently, nice but not as nice as the above 2 sets. Agree, those Hoshi look the best and is what i had in mind. Others are nice too though. Must be good to have a choice! Thanks, good to know what they are called and now have a better idea.
  11. Just looking for ideas as to which wheels look best, sorry if this subject has been done to death, i have had a read up. At the moment mine has standard multi-spoke 17", which look ok but think if they were 18" they would look better. Dont want anything after market that involves spacers etc of hassles with fit. Read GS 250 wheels fit the IS, is this true ? Anyways, appreciate any advice.
  12. When i was looking around for one a while ago it was the Lexus garages that had the highest prices. I was kind of tempted by a 20ll for £10400 from a Lexus dealer, but then came to my senses. The reason being it was from a Lexus dealer, black (the colour i wanted) it was mint, low mileage and the dealer said they would put a years warranty on it. You have to look at the competition and their faults in detail to see why they are asking such prices. BMW 3/5 series=timing chain issues that are costly to repair, Mercedes c/e class 2l also timing chain issues. Not only that but diesel cars at the moment are not so attractive due to these clean air zones, you never quite know when they are going to move the goal posts. Seemed madness to me, i was looking originally to buy one of the above cars and looking at years 2014 onwards but then found myself looking at older Lexus (2007 0nwards) because they are so much more reliable. The internet, youtube etc is littered with vids going on about issues with German cars when they are out of warranty, In contradiction, Lexus get rave reviews, hence why some dealers are being that bit more cheeky lately. Buyers a lot more savvy, and dont want reliability issues. Thats just my opinion though, sure there are many German car fans.
  13. Same colour as mine, and model, if i remember right. Mine has 17" multi-spoke wheels but think it would look better with 18" Been keeping an eye on Ebay but not much about. Quite like F sport wheels. Dont want any hassles changing over wheels with fit, pressure sensors etc so looking for Lexus. ps, always a few small things when you buy a used car, i had the rust chips to sort out. You just want the car to start and run good until you get some confidence about how its running. I have a few small issues, noticed brakes are squeaking at slow speeds when i have window down and none of the parking sensors work. After reading this thread its probably because they are turned off. Any issues i want sorting before the 3 months warranty expires, thats if they are covered. Ps, seller on Ebay selling 1GO touch up paint, done a few chips and seems to match ok.
  14. Actually been to one, but red light awareness. (another story and i reckon not guilty on that one, but wont bore you) Came out with a new outlook on traffic lights, green is the most dangerous colour, the guy kept saying. Quite funny too, and better than points
  15. Agree, its no rocket ship compared to a lot of cars. Saying that though, think it might of got me my first speeding ticket in years! Whilst not quick off the mark, if daydreaming like i was, soon get caught out if not careful. Never had that bother in the old 1.2 fiesta, usually a careful driver too. Mobile speeding van parked just where a 40 goes to 30, hoping he was having his lunch or sumert, expecting a letter soon though. Nippy enough for me
  16. Hello, yes, i understand. My point was that no one will sell that part for my car and guarantee it will fit, neither Lexus parts UK or any seller on Ebay. Thats after me giving them my cars VIN number, year etc The problem is my car is not an F sport, hence they dont know I can only buy should the seller state the part will fit, but as no one can then i dont want to take any more risks. Cheers
  17. Ps, from Lexus parts, even they cant tell me for sure While the overall shape seems similar, there is no way for us to cross-examine parts and compatibility in this way.
  18. Luckily, seller hadn't shipped it and cancelled. Think il have a break from radiator grilles for a bit, stick with Johns idea. Cant be doing with the hassle Thanks all
  19. Thanks Hopefully he will se my ebay message before he ships it, as cant cancel, they say its too late.
  20. Maybe the difference between the 2010 and 2011 Grilles is just the colour, as John pointed out The fit might still be the same
  21. Hi John, its not a bad grille the original One guy at work refers to it as the Grandad grille I think its ok
  22. Cheers, just ordered 2011 onwards! will see if i can sort with seller, ask him hang on John, unless your 100% sure about part number then plase let me know, i dont have £160 just to lose. FFS,
