  1. The only fault you could find was the interior lights ? He are a few that I dislike about my IS .... 1) Steering wheel - No reach adjustment - just tilt. 2) CD Player - NO CD Text. 3) 2001 model - No Arm Rest. Apart from that, these are the things that annoy me the most !! I don't really have a problem with the interior lighs !
  2. Back to the DDE's ..... I've just seen these .... http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAP...&category=33709 I think they look really good .... and ther'ye not that expensive !! What do you think ?
  3. Great mate ! Thanks !! You have been more than helpful ..... CHEERS !
  4. Nice one mate ! - shame you can't come though !! I'll be interested to see Steve's if he is there, as when I do get the HID's I will be purchasing them from ProLex-UK !
  5. I'm on IS300.net as we speak ........... I never knew a 6.2 was out ! - I think they are nice ..... but I don't really want to make the car lookin like a bimmer ! I think if those 9005 - 9006 lights don't really give any plus side's on the light it self, but just the look ... I might give is a pass ... and just go for the HID kit ! Aido, will you be @ Chartwell on Sunday ? - I'd like to look at two IS's side by side ... one with HID's and on with out !
  6. Hmm .... yes I think those pics are crap ! - and are not the ones he is actually selling, which means that those bulbs, aren't all that !? On the subject of lights ..... any opinions on the DDE ? (daylight demon eyes) Do you think they are too "BMW WANNABE" or has anyone here actually got DDE installed on there Lex ? Cheers !!
  7. Impressive speed ... shame about everything else ! it looks awful ! :yack: :yack:
  8. Mitch - I hear what you say, those Cypriots Love em ! - everyone's got to have either a 4 x 4 or a tractor ! - or both !
  9. Ahh yes ..... lol didn't notice that "required" postal insurance !
  10. errr ..... right I'm going to just err ... kick my head lamps I think now. Aido, are you saying that basically the advert on that light makes the bulbs look too good ? - and that they won't actually be that good ? Or am I just tottaly baffled, and still half asleep ?
  11. Right ...... These seem the most poular on eBay .... these should be ok right ? http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vie...ssPageName=WDVW Just for my (second light) setting on the stalk :D
  12. Right, now we are talking the same language ! Thanks mate .... I'm gonna get me some from eBay now !! I know this sounds silly, but it won't invalidate my warranty will it ?
  13. 2000 - Peugeot 1.6 GTi (my boy racer days) (G plate) - My first car !!! 2000 - Rover 216GTi (H plate) 2000 - BMW 520i (G plate) 2001 - Toyota Celica GT (L Plate) 2004 - Lexus IS200 SE (Y plate)
  14. Ok, I'm always baffling my self too ...... I'm not going to use the first setting on the light switch .... but the second .... (that's what I meant by full beam) I don't mean the ones ... when you pull the light stalk backwards towards you, and the "blue" icon appears on the dash! Does that make sense ?
  15. Right ... that was going to be my next subject ... how many bulbs will I actually need ? I only don't use the side light / dipped beam ... always use the full beam as my lights are on (auto) ... so will I need the others ? Cheers .....
  16. I'm not old, @ 22 - But I can relate to that one ..... I used to have one of those computer games that were stick figures on either side, and you could play tennis or basketball. Then came .... the Sinclar ZX Spectrum ...... then the Commadore 64 .... hmmmm LOL !! I know you must have had a sinclair, and or a commadore 64 - with those really funky tape decks, and cartridges that used to plug in the back ! Daaamn ... those were the days ! :shutit:
  17. So, if the stock bulbs are only like 4600K - then sureley the 6000K ones are going to be brighter ? or does the blueish tint on these lights restrict the light still ? Cheers.
  18. Aido, I see what you mean mate ... guess I'll just have to save some and get the real HID conversion kit from Prolex-UK when I'm ready to get some then ! Thanks anyways guys !
  19. Was that woodford?? ...before after gold discount?? Yes ... that was before the Gold discount !
  20. Hi people, I want to get some HID looking bulbs for my IS200 SE. I always see these ones on eBay http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vie...7928335043&rd=1 Has anyone actually bought these, and tried them ? - are they any good. How much 'K' would I need for the real HID / XNENON look - I want the lights to be really nice and white/bluiesh so that the roads are nice and bright, but there is soo many different bulbs out there i'm baffled. I don't want to but a HID conversion kit at the mo - got other priorites as per usual, any help would be appreciated. BTW : I'm going to be at Chartwell on Sunday, so Prolex-UK - or anyone else who might have some bulbs for sale ... that will give me that real HID effect .... I'll be more than happy to buy them ! Regards,
  21. I have never actually thought of that, who else here as actually taken / takes there car to Toyota, rather than Lexus for the service ... and how much cheaper are we talking ? Lexus qouted me something like £150 for my 50k service ....... how much would Toyota charge for it? Cheers.
  22. The chrome colour really does look amazing ..... you could have a shave over your bonnet B)
  23. Yes - That's what I thought, the so called No 1, though I am having my doubts now ......
  24. No probs mate ... I'm going out the house now anyway ... going to drive down to Lexus ..... before I goto work , so they can look at this rivet in my tyre !!!
  25. I have just had a call from the dealer they said They will rectify the rear door body work - and the wing mirror. I am going to take my car there in about 1 hour - so he can take a look at the rivet in my tyre, and tell me if he feels that it is from the body shop !! and they reckon that the steering wheel allignment has moved because of the tyre change ?? Oh ... and they are going to book it in for another 1 week, to rectify the clonking noise from the front of the car !! For my first year of owning a Lexus .... so far ... sadly, it's been bad !!!
