  1. As I make a point of charging up from home each night and most trips are around 30 miles, very rarely do i call at a petrol station....more so at todays prices! However when I do [assuming no long trips] I always fill to no more than a 50%. Cannot see the point of lugging around a heavy full tank of fuel if not required.
  2. Hi Gary, I have been using a OHME 7Kw charger for past year. 30% [flat] to 100% takes [as attached] 2 hours 20 minutes. The total energy used per charge is approx 12kw. My current Octapus tariff is 20p per Kw....going up probably next year. Hope this helps
  3. Have just returned from the first service on my NX450h+ Asked about the 'new' Lexus Link + app [still using the old one].........was advised to wait for maybe 6/8 weeks as they [Lexus ] are having teething issues in relation to the recognition of all the different models. So........will wait a little longer before making the leap !!
  4. Ken, Pete....surely you both must live at he top of a large hill and get a lift back home on a flat bed trailer 😉 Are these figures exceptions rather than the norm ? After approx 8000 miles this year since pick up, I am reading 3.3 mLs/Kw and average full charge is 53/55 of which I get 50 miles attained. Mostly rural and never exceed 70 mph ; use ACC and watch both braking and acceleration. Two people aboard, no dogs and constantly have Audi, BMW up my a*** !
  5. Sorry Steven [and Harry] but all this is sounds as if it coming from the Boris Johnson camp. Surely before the car leaves the production line or at least before shipment, the vehicle VIN number etc will noted NOT to have two key fobs and/or locking wheel nuts fitted along with anything else not fitted or supplied. Therefore the selling dealer must have been told and aware of the shortage BEFORE delivery to the premises, and as already said they should have informed you [the purchaser] of this shortage BEFORE any funds and signatures are collected. As far as Lexus advising you to go back to the dealer and order it [fob] on something that should be supplied with the car in the first place, is in my mind, utterly rediculous. In other words someone is doing a Boris i.e lying !!
  6. So....am I right i saying that after the purchase a of a £55k + vehicle, it is supplied with only one key and NO locking wheel nuts!! To me that is totally unacceptable...and in my view breaking the purchase contract Maybe just maybe... I can understand the key due to chip shortage....but how and why no wheel nuts? I assume that until the nuts are supplied, your wheels can very easily be removed. How does that affect the insurance etc? My partner has just purchased a brand new Ford Puma at less than half the price of a Lexus. Yes with two keys, four locking wheel nuts, and after asking, supplied with a steering wheel lock thrown in.
  7. Yes Malcolm on most trips out of town and with say 10 miles + I do exactly that i.e use both EV and HV in conjunction. Not so sure about using EV/HV Auto, however I do believe a number of members use it regularly. Just received a Lexus email today showing the benefits of new 'Predictive Efficient Drive' in that using sat nav, predicts what mode is best for the most efficient use of power...clever stuff! Someone has asked will it be available as OTA update......answer sometime later....so maybe next year !!
  8. A new contibuter to this section. Last charges over past 2 weeks [showing on app] have been 52.4/51.0. I am certainly getting 47 to 49 miles per charge done on mostly rural roads with a/c The average m/kw reading over the past few months is showing 2.9. Would be interested to hear what others are reading
  9. So....am I right that you are no longer a 'HappyLexi'. [1] Who its Zenth/ [2] Why... no good can come of this ? Looks like you have lost confidence in your dealer.....so who will you use to service your 2022 NX in the future.
  10. Not so much squeaky suspension but creaking front brakes with me, mainly when going slowly in a traffic jam, coming to a stop or in my case when leaving the house on my sloping drive. Even the next door neighbour mentioned the other day ' your car is so quiet.... till your brake lights come on " !! Mentioned this on the forum some time ago, as I think others have the same problem and agree that this should not happen in such an expensive vehicle as Lexus. Had this since day one... hoping it would bed in...but getting worse, I have the car booked in for a separate recall this month ...so have asked them to check it out and rectify.
  11. Have to now agree with members who are struggling with the Lexus app. Had my 450 since start of Jan 2023....during these months have been reading on this forum of people annoyed, frustrated and disappointed with the app.... ....'there for the grace of god' 😇my app worked perfectly. It is now stuck on 20th of this month and has stopped all info transfer such as trips, current milage. current charge, current location, unlocking etc etc..... Spoke to Lexus Multimedia Team. they suggest that I deactivate and re-activate app. Guess what ....no change. Maybe it will suddenly work later in the month 🤨...doubt it !!....unless someone out there knows a better fix? I feel a dealer visit coming on ....
  12. Nothing on the car or app that I am aware of. I have and use a 7.5 kw OHME home charger. The app shows quite a number of stats including how much Kw per charge at any one time and cost per charge based on my current providers tariff. On most charges the car needs approx 15 Kw from zero [zero figure including the 30% already show on the display]] to 100%. So if you multiply your current energy provider Kw/Hr tariff by 15 [assuming empty battery] then that will give you a approx cost per charge. Hope this is of some help.
  13. That is a very interesting figure. Yes as discussed many times on this and other forums, consumption figures vary considerably, time of year, driving conditions, number/amount of charging, and of course how it is driven. But based on all of that AND the car size, comfort, refinement, etc, surely nearly 49mpg average over 10k miles is in my mind very good and pleasing. I am sure that there are many non-Lexus owners out there with similar maybe not so comfortable PHEV SUV,s [and yes there are always exceptions] that do not come close to matching. Currently after 5k miles, mine is showing 65mpg and I am averaging 50/50 % .....thats 50%EV v 50% ICE journeys. So as this is a Lexus forum lets enjoy our wheels and economy !!
  14. Hi Robert, So sorry to hear about the stolen NX....many times I have thought about being left in the same position, you must be gutted. It has been discussed in various forms on this forum. Was it broken into or can bus job or other ?? Do hope you hear something very soon ....good or bad.
  15. Yes I understand that this topic is all about predicted EV range and interesting to compare ...but...unless I am missing something, aren't the actual average miles per kilowatt and mpg more important to ascertain the cars running economy. My actual recorded milage on EV mode, again depending on conditions, driving speeds etc etc has been between 32 and max 40. I have yet to see any full battery charge figures come anywhere over 43 as yet. Picked up my 450 first week in Jan, so all trips up to now have been in cold conditions. The average m/kw has increase from 2.4 to 2.6 and average mpg has been showing a increase from 59 to now showing 64. So...assuming that the mpg [so far] is accurate at say 60 ish and that I keep the battery charged up each day [at say 2.5 m/kw] to both assist the ICE [auto EV] in dual carriageway, and EV for town driving, then I am more than happy with that bearing in mind the size and comfort of the vehicle, and think I would would struggle to find a similar spec car that would match those figures. OR am I missing something ???
  16. Same as Harrier Man... shopped around and ended up with existing previous company Liv Vic. My partner is currently going through a large repair job on her car also with Liv Vic. Communication, progress, etc seems to be good. Also confirmation that all parts fitted will be sourced from original manufacturer. From experience, like most things....pay cheap and costs later can be dear.
  17. Just found this on a recent search. Nice to see and hear about the inner workings and parts that we don't or can't see !! Quite technical in parts .....but have to agree with some of his disappointing items....do you?
  18. Very interested to hear that after your last dealer visit , now no squeaks or creaks. Can you enlighten on....what complaint you reported to the dealer on the visit and..... what they did to resolve the problem. Looks like you have a excellent Lexus dealer who go the extra mile
  19. No offence, patronising, or apologies needed Paul, and fully agree with your comments and findings in relation to type of driving and conditions. Since purchase [1200 miles] I have seriously tried to get to the 40 approx miles per charge. However most of my travel [40 ml round trip] is dual carriageway [with MAX speed of 65] and small amount in town and to that end you have answered my question. As stated all my travel has been done since first week of Jan which I am fully aware are the worst conditions. SO....will continue and hope it gets a little better as the year progresses. Your findings in relation to ICE only are helpful and at the same time useful to know for future long trips so will be keeping a close eye. Thank you.
  20. Bearing in mind the quite large difference of declared charge figures in this topic, it quite clearly shows that one cannot trust what [a] is shown on the app after charge [b] the actual milage one may get after a full charge. I have experienced similar wild variations of figures and have only had the car 6 weeks so all figures are based on winter conditions. My miles per Kw is currently showing 2.7 ...but just like Ken, I also have had a disappointing 34 miles on my last trip after say a 15kw charge. [2.7x 15 =40.5 miles ??...] Like others I hope that during the spring summer months the [a] and [b] figures offer increased milage and more importantly are more accurate to trust! Again I and maybe others would also be interested in what the average MPG people are getting running on ICE only.
  21. As promised I am reporting back regarding the squeak/creak etc. Dealer visit yesterday and drove round the dealer car park with plenty of creaks....... unfortunately as others here have reported, told that it is 'normal' and not of any main concern as other similar cars do it ! Must therefore totally agree with Starlight and others that for such a refined, comfortable, and expensive car this is somewhat disappointing. Will report and try again at service time if this continues.
  22. Total 100% charge today; showing 46.9 and 43.2 Again would also be interested to know from people the average calculated mpg in ICE mode only and wether any marked difference in warmer weather.
  23. Picked up mine first week January so all driving done in cold and very cold weather. Total milage done 1100 miles; Max indicated showing after full charge is 40 miles. So hoping that I can match others as the weather warms up. Had to fuel up for the first time last week and decided to carry a maximum of half a tank at any one time, as can't see point of lugging around a full tank if not needy unless doing a long journey of course. Asked this question on another post but no answer; When I ask the nice' Lexus Lady' for current fuel consumption she keeps coming up with a range of figures like 56/ 80 sometimes + 100 mpg and all figures in-between. How is this calculated? is it based on milage left to empty on the battery at the time. Would like to know the average mpg owners are getting using the ICE alone.
  24. Thanks guys for your comments and your respective experience with this issue. Been for a small run today and maybe my description of 'squeak' should really be 'creak' as others have confirmed. Also can confirm that I did not notice it when doing a test drive. Not so sure that this creak is a normal feature of Hybrids. It certainly happens in car parks when moving slowly back and forth which can be rather embarrassing.... and at junctions, also at times when moving off from standstill. Incidentally my previous car BMW IX3 did exactly the same and after a dealer visit was told that two new torsion bars would need to be replaced. Told they are on back order. Two months later changed BMW for the NX, so did not find out if it worked. Totally agree that this should not happen and as with the BMW will do a dealer visit to try and resolve. Would seem [from others above]] that just certain vehicles effected. So just maybe they might come up with the same fix as [Starlight] replacement suspension bushes. Will report back later......... or maybe a lot later depending on parts availability if required
  25. Last few days I have noticed and hear a quite loud squeak coming from [what I believe] the front suspension. This is mainly when braking slowly approaching a junction, but more noticeable when manoeuvring in a car park when apply any brake going forward or reversing....like a squeaking rocking chair !! My drive is on a slope, and when moving off in the morning applying the brake one hears a definite low down scraping sound which has to be the brake pads/discs? Anybody having the same or similar?
