  1. You're not going to get anywhere near the driving position of a Rav4 with a Yaris Cross or any other of the smaller SUV types. We came from a Rav to downsize as we'd stopped caravanning and tried all of them including the Yaris Cross. That was discounted as it felt too cramped together at the front and the rear view is abysmal with the rear headrests all but blocking it. Ended up with the the UX which ticked all the boxes for us bar ride height, no regrets.
  2. Looks like it's just a simple ring crimp connector, although it has an uncommon squarish shape they are usually round. Does it fit in a recess so it needs to be square.? Very common in all sizes in the round style, fleabay etc, don't know where you might get the square one, be easy enough to get a round one with the right size hole then square it off with a file to make it fit if needs be.
  3. My F Sport Design doesn't show or tell me about speed cameras either, never noticed an option in the menu.
  4. That was a Certificate of Deposit insurance, used to be common for large firms. You have to deposit £500,000 with the governent then pay all Insurance claims. They were trying to bin it a few years ago, don't know if it's still going now.
  5. For some reason does it make one primary that rings, yours, then the boss' is secondary and just gives visual notification ? The later touchscreen versions give voice and screen notifications for incoming calls and messages for both ours but no ringing, 🤷‍♂️
  6. You'd end up with the too small fold out bag hooks like the UX has that are neither use nor ornament.
  7. What's it got to do with the dealer? If you had actually read the specs for your UX model before laying out a fair wedge buying it you would have seen it came with run flats.
  8. Think you'll find the CT200h is not rated for towing at all. Check your handbook maybe some of the configuations are actually allowed to tow same as different UX ones are but don't hold your breath.
  9. If you're looking at portable garage type covers, i Machine Mart do a fair range of them. Mate has got one for his MGB and is pleased with it.
  10. A lot of UX models do have auto folding, no one has owned up to altering the non auto ones that I know of. Mine has auto but it wouldn't bother me if they weren't and I reckon a lot of others wouldn't either. Perhaps it's because my last car, a Rav4, hadn't got auto mirrors and I got into the habit of manual electric folding them and leaving the button out when I switched off so they automatically opened when I next turned on.
  11. Just had renewal from £208 to £280 with Aviva, no one comes close when checking everyone else. From £400 up to Direct Line who want £900 😲and this was the optimum 21 days before renewal. Guess who we're going with? 😋
  12. Easiest thing is to have the wing mirrors on auto so they fold when you lock it, obvious to see then it's locked/alarmed.
  13. Last years premium with Aviva was £204, this years renewal come through at £280. Seemed reasonable given all the recent quotes people are complaining about. Tried comparison sites and individual companies today just to check as it's the supposed optimum 21 days before and closest was £500 and ranged up to £900 😳 Needless to say we are sticking with Aviva.
  14. That is the understatement of the year ! Probably the worst company reviews I've ever seen 😮 https://www.reviews.co.uk/company-reviews/store/servicing-stop
  15. Insurance is getting a right pain, have you had a recent quote for your C-HR ? probably not a lot in it. F Sport Design has "old fasioned" remote locking not keyless so you can't use the remote signal snatch method to steal it. Dunno if it has easy canbus access for that type of theft but I can't say I've seen it mentioned at all even for the keyless versions. I did try the C-HR and Yaris Cross before settling on the UX which I don't regret. Price seems on the high side for a relatively higher mileage newish car in the current used car slump.
