  1. I'm also getting the all doors unlocked indication when they're clearly not! This used to work fine in an earlier version. The app is showing all my trips but the most recent can take an hour or so to register.
  2. 1500kg would be legal but hopefully you can find combo that is a little lighter to give you some margin. Braked trailers usually operate manually, when the car brakes the weight of the trailer pushing on the tow ball automatically applies the trailer brakes. The key to good towing is anticipation and gentle braking and acceleration. One thing you may not be aware of, if you passed your driving test after 1st January 1997 you don't automatically have the right to tow up to the 8,250kg maximum which many people are now aware of. If you're pulled over by the police while towing, the first thing they will check is you authority to tow the weight you're towing. There have been a number of changes to the rules since then which you can find here: https://www.gov.uk/guidance/new-rules-for-towing-a-trailer-or-caravan-with-a-car-from-autumn-2021
  3. The plate value is the manufacturers unladen weight of the trailer then you need to add the weight of the load to give you the total towing weight which must not exceed the towing capacity of the car which in your case is 1500kg. So technically, you could tow this weight with your car and be legal but it's advisable to have a good margin for error, say 10 to 20%. You also need to take care you do not exceed the nose weight capacity of the tow ball for your car which is the static weight of the trailer and load measured at the tow hitch.
  4. The weight is based on the manufacturers plate value plus the load weight rounded up.
  5. The caravan is 1500kg and towing with my previous RX400h I used to get about 20mpg on a 160mile trip, with the RX450h+ and a fully charged battery I get 48mpg on the same trip.
  6. I've towed a caravan with a RX for the past 15 years and have no complaints.
  7. The backbox heat shield on my 08 RX fell off somewhere unbeknown to me but the mechanic said its not really an issue as the backbox never gets that hot unless you lived in the tropics.
  8. I had exactly the same problem so I deleted the app and re-installed it and after logging in again it worked briefly. After going through the same loop twice more without success, I noticed there was a new version of iOS so I upgraded the phone to 17.1 then after deleting the app again and re-installing it all started working properly. I also got the 'profile not synced' message while driving this morning and had to log in the car again but it's all working and the app is still talking to the car. As you say, there must have been some kind of update last night.
  9. I don't buy the dealers explanation, surely you would get a message saying you have the latest update?
  10. A 10 minute recharge for a decent sized battery would need a 500kW charger so not a home job!
  11. Anyone know if there's a later map version than shown in the picture attached, it dates to more than a year ago and I would expect there to be an update available. When I try to update OTA, I get the message "Problem with map update. Please contact your dealer".
  12. Anyone else using an Ohme charger on Intelligent Octopus get a message from the Ohme app saying your energy price cap had been disabled? This is a key setting to make sure a Lexus will always charge at the lowest tariff rate so what are they playing at?
  13. I hadn't realised the externally visible door sills on the new 2023 RX are an integral part of the doors and extend to the lower edge of the bodywork, this leaves a small crack leading to a void below the door seal. Any muck thrown up by the front wheels is able to get through the crack and collect on the inside lower edge of the door sill so when you open the door there's an unsightly mess to see all along the bottom edge of the door. They have fitted a rubber flap just behind the front wheel presumably to try and stop this happening but it clearly doesn't work. I don't think this is up to the design standard I expect from Lexus?
  14. Try going through the setup procedure again, you may need to register the key to youserlf by holding it close to the power button.
  15. Interesting, what if you connect the car to WiFi?
  16. I get that same message since I picked my car up over 2 months ago. I have also synced my key so it recognises me every time I get in the car but it's made no difference to the message.
  17. I've never been able to getting this working or in fact figure out how it does. All the videos I've seen are from the US so maybe it's not implemented here yet?
  18. Shouldn't be a problem fitting a tracker but doesn't the NX have the Lexus tracking built in?
  19. Peter, I took delivery of my 2023 RX in July and was thinking of fitting a Ghost 2 but when I checked on the Autowatch website my car wasn't listed on the compatibility list. I've also read that Lexus have said the 2023 models are no longer susceptible to CAN bus attack but without explanation. Other mentions of how the manufacturers have been working very hard to develop encrypted CAN bus systems as these thefts are poor publicity for them. I ended up buying a Stopcock Elite Pro as a visual deterrent as I didn't want to pay a lot of money to fit a potentially pointless immobiliser. On this group:
  20. Colin, I believe it's from 2023 models onwards but not absolutely certain.
  21. Apparently, the latest Lexus models have an encrypted CAN bus making then immune to the current CAN injection attacks which is why the Ghost 2 is not compatible. I can't see Lexus releasing the encryption key to an external company any time soon which puts the value of any conventional CAN bus immobiliser in question.
  22. The Ohme Home Pro works well and is compatible with the Intelligent Octopus tariff giving you 7.5p per kWh from 23:30pm to 5:30am.
  23. That would fail an MOT so would not be legal if the police stopped you.
